This video was a huge help! I just bought this machine to help my daughter with sewing in girl scouts. I haven't used a sewing machine in probably 20yrs. We spent hours trying to figure out why the machine would just ball up thread in the bobbin area. It was because we didn't do the last step that you showed of manual turning the handle to properly feed the bobbin thread. Machine now works like a dream. Thank you!
For anyone struggling with this step, we did too. It was because we were turning the handle the wrong way.

Needle not picking up the bobbin thread? Turn the hand wheel towards you, not away. 😂 😅 I love these videos, I would kindly suggest adding this beginners mistake into the bobbin instructions.

Wow again- I have been using this machine for months, and was cursing the hard to reach eye of the uptake lever- never realizing I didn’t need to THREAD it through the eye, but just have to slide the thread from the back! Also didn’t know the bobbin stopped when full- I have been stopping it when I thought it was full- also didn’t know that differently wound thread spools went on different spools! What else will I discover as I go through the rest of your videos?! I am hooked now!

Thanks for this video! This is my first drop in bobbin machine and although I got through several projects, I just knew there had to be an easier way. Turns out I had the thread in the wrong slot of the shuttlecock. Now switching thread is much easier. Thank you so much❤❤❤
I sit trying this, 4423 on the bed so I can watch the video, drooling on the torch in my mouth angled to the bobbin bit while my dodgy eyesight tries to see an almost invisible notch for a skinny thread to engage LOL It's funny 'cos it's sad.
Now I got to watch how to thread the top end sighs I don't know what I'm doing but I'll be stupidly proud if I get it to work.

My 4452 uses a Class 15J bobbin vice a Class 15. The bobbin you are showing looks like a 15J vice a 15 also.
Mine can't pick bobbing tread anymore
I did that right but when I sew it jams .
Every time I try it just tangles, something is missing in this process

when i pull the bobbin thred after the first stitch it wont work
In spite of your perfect instruction it is not working. I have this machine, I follow every step but the needle does not lift up the thread form the bobbin. Tried a million times and am new ready to hide the machine and go back to handstitching. What am I doping wrong. I followed every step….
Did you figure it out bc mine won't grab the thread either

The groove on my machine isn’t at 6 o’clock, it’s at 5 o’clock.I took it out and moved it, but it moved back again.
Must be me, but I can't for the life of me do this .... would be a lot easier if the bobbin was a different colour
