I just read some of the comments below. I watch a lot of instructional videos on subjects from fly fishing to motorcycling to furniture making. Kevin, you are doing it right.. Your speech is slow and easy to understand. You know where your fingers are and take care to repeat or film from a different angle when needed. You don't say "like" and "you know" in every sentence. Lastly, you clearly know what you're doing. Puts you in the top 10% in youtube instructional videos
HI KEVIN----i have this machine without the threader . i have never sewed before --this i must say, THIS VIDEO IS A VERY COMPREHENSIVE INSTRUCTION FOR A NO NOTHING ABOUT SEWING . THANK YOU VERY MUCH . NOW TO THE MACHINE AND TRY TO SEW !!!!? I`M 87 SO MY EYES ARE DIMMER AND MY FINGERS ARE NOT AS NIMBLE ANY MORE BUT LIFE GOES ON .

Wow! Thanks! Old guy decides to take up sewing for DIY outdoor trekking gear, buys a Singer heavy duty 4452, reads instructions, goes into near-despair, thinks bobbins have demons in them, then I find this. I kept pausing and running to look at my machine (look at that! the guy was right!) back to the video. I just subscribed. Thanks so much. p.s. fabric is so expensive I've been buying old clothes at thrift stores, pure wool coats, now I'm all energized. Will use many of your videos as a course. Thanks again.
Spent all day trying to figure out my machine. Within minutes of watching your video, I am sewing! Thank you for your tutorial. I learned a lot more then I thought I would. Had many ah-ha moments. Thank you!
Just hope you know that 8 years later you are still helping someone- I have watched this video four times and resolved my issue every single time thank you
i can't thank you enough for these videos! I'm an absolute beginner who purchased a cheap clone 15. So, after much frustration, I received my 4432 today. You have the best , easy to understand, instructional videos on UA-cam. I just finished a leather tote bag----and could not have without you. Singer should sponsor you! You have a new subscriber!
OMG!!!! Where have you been all my years of sewing??? I've been sewing for over 55 years and learned so much from this video. Thank You - Thank You - Thank You
Great tutorial Kevin, I bought this machine a couple of years ago but couldn't take to it. But after having a few classes and watching your tutorial my confidence has grown and I'm sewing practically every day.

This is THE most helpful tutorial for the Singer 4423 or 32....and not only for just those machines..but issues involving tensions are covered as well......many tutorials leave out important details..such as camera angles...closeups..so you get a real idea of what the presenter is talking about...Kevin covers all that....MUST SEE...if you want to understand and get the most out of your Singer 4423
Mr. Kevin. I cannot begin to tell you how extremely happy and grateful I am to find your channel. I purchased the Singer 44S about 8 months ago. I decided I would begin to make my own clothes since they are so very expensive to buy and I am so hard to fit, being 5ft 10inches tall. Nothing is long enough. I became so stressed and overwhelmed with not being able to thread the needle, I pkgd it up to return it to the store., but I couldn't return it because I had it too long. So, it’s just been sitting in the box for months. Tonight, I ran across your video, and I couldn't believe it. It was like an answered prayer. You were actually doing a video on the very machine I have. You took your time and explained step by step. Now I can use my machine. Please don’t ever stop making these videos because your help is invaluable. Not only that, but you seem to be a very detailed person which is awesome for those of us trying to learn I AM NOW A NEW SUBSCRIBER!!!!!!!
This was so helpful! My sewing table arrived today and I unboxed my new machine... plugged it in... and felt so completely overwhelmed! I've never sewed before... and felt so alone! I googled a setup tutorial for singer heavy duty and I'm so GLAD that yours was the first one that came up. Thank you for having this available, I'm sure you've helped thousands of us!
Thank you for helping us get our 4423 up and running. We thought this video was perfect. Really appreciate you taking the time arrange such awesome camera angles so we could follow along. the narration was also top notch and we were able to understand everything perfectly. As absolute beginners we feel like you got us off on the right foot and we learned a lot.

Hello Kevin, I bought my first Singer Heavy-Duty Sewing Machine yesterday. This tutorial helped me to get my machine working. So thank you very much. I'm hoping to learn more from other videos you have. Thanks again. Joyce
THANK YOU!!!!! I had watched about 10 videos before this one. None of them came close to fixing my issue. This video was clear, concise, and extremely helpful!
Hi Kevin, my singer classic has been in the box for over a year now as I just could not get used to it. I watched your tutorial and am now looking forward to giving it another go.Thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Your tutorial was so much more informative than the cd and paper manual I got w my Singer. You gave so much more info than the cd I got. They just assume that we should know these things. You are the only one that showed great detail especially how to open the needle cover plate. I had to go to a vacuum repair store before we accidentally found out how to do it. Again thank you😄
This is a great Video. I know nothing about sewing. My wife and I purchased this machine and your video took me light years ahead of where I was. Now I have to teach her. Thank You.
Thanks Kevin, I just gave my wife the Singer Heavy Duty 4423 since she wanted to learn to sew. Your video has been of tremendous help and we appreciate the time you took to shoot this video and explain everything in such extraordinary details. Keep up the good work.
This is perhaps the best "beginner" video I've seen. I can more easily print or machine a sewing machine than use it. For a very technical person... well, this appealed to me. I additionally very much like that it was "just the facts, ma'am;" I didn't have to listen to your life's story , idiotic quips, or perspectives. You did a remarkably good job. Your explanations around tension -- and the mystical/annoying "rats nesting" I've seen... well, it's game-changing. I hope that my feedback brings you joy.
I additionally like that you... well, from a beginner's perspective... covered "everything." Sewing should be easy. It's not high-tech. Its practitioners are seldom formally well-educated. Alas, sewing.... ain't that damned easy. Again, I found your video to be tremendously helpful. I've taught computer programming... and I promise you that I envy your brevity and breadth.
Kevin Sews did a fantastic job of teaching on this video. I keep coming back to it when, as a beginner, I forget how to do something properly. So far I repaired a pair of short denim pants that were coming apart at the bottom seam. They were still to good to throw away. Second job was altering velcro straps on a handlebar "basket" for my new bicycle. THird job will be saving the lives of 3-4 perfectly good hoodies whose zippers couldn't handle my frequent. I love this sewing machine. But the only thing that's harder than threading a needle is figuring out how to use the automatic threader. But my eyes are slowly going as I'm over 65, not a fault of the machine!
Thank you!!! I bought this same machine, without knowing very much about it, other than the heavy duty strengths. It did not come with a training DVD. I sew a lot of spandex for costumes and I am so happy to learn that there is the over-lock stitch. The manual doesn't tell you very much. Great tutorial.
Despite my mom having been making costumes for all of my life, she never taught me how to use a sewing machine (probably because I was too busy outside getting my hands dirty with gardening, taking care of my horses & chickens, and using the power tools). A friend gave me her old machine for free, and thanks to this video, I am finally able to actually use it! ALL of my previous costumes and clothing repairs have been hand sewn, which is a LOT of work, but this made it SO easy to figure out how to use the machine, which will now make making my cosplay costumes SO much easier. Thank you!
! just got my Singer today and looked high and low on You Tube for starter instructions and found yours to be the easiest to follow. Thanks for this video, it helped me so much.
This is an amazing tutorial! I just bought my first real sewing machine (I had a child’s one when I was a kid) and really want to treat it well and understand it. Thank you for the in depth tutorial! Feels crazy commenting on a tutorial that is six years old, but I I saw you are still making videos and I can’t wait to learn more! Subscribed!
Excellent machine and tutorial. Thanks! I inherited an old Singer Solid State and decided to give sewing a go. After much frustration and hungry bobbins eating my tshirts, I decided it couldnt be all me. I went to Wal Mart and bought the 44s last night. I watched your tutorial this morning and set up the machine. All I can say is wow! This machine is solid, and fast!!
Hi Kev' just wanted to thank you for your tutorial, I finally found out I wasn't threading the machine properly. My wife is disabled and the ability to make sewing repairs, etc. will make life much easier.
Great detail in this "how to" video.. I learned a bunch of things I did not learn from the official Singer "how to video" for this machine ... Many thanks!!
Thanks for the video. The most useful portion for me was the discussion of the needles for this machine, which starts around 33:00. I haven't been able to find that information anywhere else.
Kevin I bought this machine after watching your video and because it was so well done it gave me the confidence to choose this model and I have to tell you I am very pleased with how it handled first few stitches. Thank you Sir.
Wow. I have been trying to learn to sew and Thank God I found your channel. I was not having any success until I followed your directions. You are a life saver.
This video was great! I've never used a sewing machine before. I started watching another video first, but the person went too fast for me and didn't do the close ups that you do for the details. Thanks.
Hi, Kevin--I finally decided it was time to upgrade my Singer that I bought in 1971 to a newer model--the Singer Heavy Duty 4411. Mostly because I can barely LIFT my old machine--it must weigh 40 lbs! But it has served me well over the years for making umpteen sets of curtains! So I set up my 4411 and try to hem a pair of light-weight knit pants and the result was not birds' nests on the underside, but eagles' nests! Using my trusty seam ripper that is at least 50 years old, I got rid of the nests (took a half-hour) and decided to hit the tube, where luckily, I found you. Already I see about 20 things I have done wrong. Your advice on bobbin winding, threading, and tension settings, as well as different types of thread, needles, pins, and feet will no doubt set me on the right path.(Ok, I'll buy some new seam rippers :-) I'll let you know how it goes--thanks a million for this excellent video!--Sue in Northern California
@@kevinsews Just wanted to let you know I got some ball point needles (and a new seam ripper!) so I'm in business--I already have re-furbished two pairs of pants. Thanks again--yours is the most helpful video by far!
I went from not knowing anything to feeling pretty confident with the basics! Thank you. 🥰♥️ Got my first machine today and had no issue setting up and practicing multiple stitches! What a great informative video 😍
Your video was amazing. I'm a newbie and you were so informative. Even when you spoke, it wasn't annoying and it didn't make me want to fall asleep. You kept me focused. Thank you👍
I'm brand new to sewing and I'm going to have to watch this about 50 times! Excellent! Thanks so much. I bought a used 4411, which doesn't have the needle threader.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm trying to learn to sew, but when I kept getting "birds nests" and other oddities, I realized I was probably missing a few crucial steps in the beginning. Singer makes beginning tutorials, but I think they assume you already know some foundational things. THANK YOU! I was able to sew a simple face mask. My first project because of you!
Great detailed information that I could see. Thanks so much, I’ve subbed and look forward to learning more. I was gifted a Euro Pro X when my brother died so this is in homage to him.
Thank you for this video it's really helped me a lot to understand my machine more.I have watched several video and this one is the best from start to finish, now my machine is sewing properly thank you.
Picked up this machine for $20 at a flea market, it was missing the foot and some accessories. Once you learn the functions it's a pretty easy to use. Watch this video and others to familia yourself with this machine. Also watch the video on different needle sizes. Practice makes perfect.
Mind blown! I bought this machine a few months ago and this is the first time I’ve heard that you can adjust the needle position other then left, middle, right. I also bought the over edge foot and broke 2 needles learning to use it. Didn’t know about that ABCD stuff, will try D. I really wanted a basic, mechanical, machine, and after watching this video I’m going to play with the tension settings, thought that was verboten! Thank you so much, this was great.
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! I couldn't figure out how to thread everything even after reading the manual and quick start guide. This was clear and straightforward.
Schmetz needles! Was using Singer needles from a combo pack sizes 11, 14, 16. Bent the 11 on an old machine so went to the 14. Even with the new Heavy Duty Classic 44S once in a while the 14 would push the fabric. I thought that I used too much fabric softener with my cotton knit when I washed my fabric. Bought some Schmetz needles for knits/jersey in a combo pack sizes 10, 12, 14. Put the 10 and have not had one issue, even when at the ends of the fabric when I start the stitch. The automatic threader barely threads the needle...but it does work, bonus! No more toilet paper for fabric stabilizer, the Schmetz 10 has not pushed my fabric through the needle plate once..knock on wood. Bought them per your recommendation....excellent needles! My fabric after the wash is like trying to sew water together. LOL! Thanks again for this video!
Thank you so much. I was such a beginner I really had no idea of the basics even though my mom tried to show me. However you covered a lot more of the foundation which I really wouldn't have understood well without the video. Moving image is different from reading a book.
Thank you so much for your very informative video. I learned to sew as a girl and only knew there were different needle sizes. I knew nothing about the fabrics they are best suited for, neither about the pins. Now I understand all the trouble I had with knits😃. Now I’m retired and enthusiastic about sewing again and having my granddaughter learn. With this video we will be learning the right way to use our beautiful Singer and sing while sewing.
omg this is the best video!!!I've been struggling with the bobbin installation.. I got it from watching ur video only once.. wasted an hour on other videos trying to figure it out... you're the man!! thanks: )
Saw your channel mentioned in a comment on another channel and boy did try do me favor. You are so helpful. I have this machine , new user and would like to know what size needle can be used in general.
Make sure your presser foot is at its highest position. If you can't see the tiny wire that goes through the needle's eye then use a magnifying glass. That will let you see what is going on. Usually the wire is bent and it is missing the needles eye.
Jacqueline Davila-Alicea Is there a certain height that the needle should be in the housing? It’s from the factory but I don’t know if it can go further up. It seems like the auto threader isn’t coming down far enough to let that small wire get through the eye.
Rene Ramirez bring the needle up to the highest point, then bring down the needle threader down. The threader hook should enter the eye of the needle. Sometimes you need to to shake it a bit so that it aligns perfectly with the eye of the needle. I need my reading glasses to help me see if it it properly in place. Also, make sure the needle is center, it won’t work any other way.
My new Singer 4432 arrived today; this is going to help me enormously, since I haven't used a sewing machine since about 1924!! 😀👍 Thank you so much for posting this!
Hi Kevin, I,m not a stranger to Singer sewing machine, but I,m kind an out of touches lol. The new things that I love is when you winding trading bobbin and putting the thread through the needle. I still need to watching you again. With the thread through the needle part. Thank you. You are very clear of showing the instructions.
You are an excellent teacher! I was about to take my new Singer 44S back to the store as both husband and I have spent 2 days in major frustration trying to thread and then sew with this machine. I hope there is a trouble shooting video as that would make my sewing more pleasurable. I have been using a Janome machine and this is for temporary Summer usage in a remote location.
I haven’t touched my Singer since I got it a month ago cuz i couldn’t find a good comprehensive tutorial, now I’m excited to follow along finally!! This video is a gem💎
Thank you so much for this tutorial I was struggling 2 days to find out why the machine was missing stitches. I never sewed before. I’m trying to learn because my boyfriend bought it for me as a gift for Christmas.
Thanks Kevin, this is the best in depth video I've seen yet. others are not getting the best camera shots like fading in out one then fading into the next movie. Im retired and just turned 67 its kinda fun learning sewing from the hip... for an older guy, I subscribed and gave you a thumbs up for sure! best of luck from Lakewood CA.
I had given up on the Singer as being another thing that was just too difficult to even begin. I looked at several You Tube presentations but nobody slowed things down for Boobies like I do when I have a new Math student. From threading the bobbin to slowing going through the threading the machine I managed to get my first hem done on a tent repair. I changed the stitch length and must have changed something else so I will be back to watching Kevin's full video re tension and stitch length. Thanks Kevin. John - an ancient one in Cork, Ireland
Update. I watched the part about the needle threader about 5 times, but I got it. Hooray!!! In the days when I learned many many years ago we had to eyeball the eye and keep poking until we got the thread through. Again, your vid is so detailed so much more than the others. Thank you. Definitely a keeper on my list.
Thanks for your tutorial Kevin. I have Singer 4423 and we reviewed just about everything with the machine in 55 minutes. A great primer to watch and review for people who don't sew all the time. Aho !
I'm so glad I found your video. I haven't used my sewing machine in years, and I forgot the basic functions such as threading the machine, the needle threader, tension etc. I'm back in business now... thank you!!
Thank you so much! I gave my good, dependable Singer to my daughter and got a new one for Christmas because I wanted the one-step buttonhole feature. Well, long story short, my new machine got through a project and a half before it began balling up thread. Your tutorial (especially that calm, patient manner) really saved my sanity, ha ha. I followed all the little details you pointed out about tension in this video and the one about adjusting bobbin tension and now the machine is back to making a seam that looks like a seam ought to. Maybe I'll keep this machine and not steal the other one back!
Great tutorial. At first I thought this is way too long but so glad I watched it all. I feel very confident in using my new machine and never had any classes in sewing and you definitely taught me some very useful things. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video. I actually have been sewing for years just not in the past 4 years or so, Just got his machine and was checking out your video as my old machine is about 20+ years old. I learned to sew by watching my Mother sew. She was quite a seamstress. I never really asked a lot of question so needless to say I did things my way and not always correctly. LOL Your video pointed out the answers to my past questions as to why my stitches were so garbled at times. I see now that I never really understood setting the tension. Embarrassing but very true. Your instructions will save me much frustration as I resume my hobby, All smiles! Also, I am ordering the Over Edge Foot NOW! :D Thanks so much! I learned a lot & really enjoyed your presentation. :D
Thank you so much for your patient thorough explanations. I am new to sewing and this machine. It doesn’t come with a manual and I don’t have a printer to print from online. You are such a blessing.
Thank you Kevin after messaging you I fiddled around and realized my machine needs to be engaged before it will bring the feed dogs back up...who knew...so thank you again. I really enjoy your tutorials, with out you I'd have no idea what I was doing. :-)
I am so very much surprised by the men that have commented on this tutorial and how it has helped them and some with their wives or gfs. I had no idea that so many men sewed as I've never known one. Good for you guys! I'm happily surprised.
+Annie Culpepper Thank you Annie! That is one thing good things about the the Web and Net... it helps us all remove the typical stereo type that it is only women that sew.
Thank for your tutorial. After searching maybe for about 4 hrs.watching several videos I found you, and you gave me the answer on the first 10 minutes. How to resolve a problem with my Singer Simple. My project turned out great. THANK YOU

Great video. Thanks! Maybe you could copy and paste that time index into your description of your video, as it will get lost as comments are added.
This is the most thorough tutorial I've viewed so far.
Thanks for all the details. This really helps 😊
My pleasure!
Hello Kevin,
I bought my first Singer Heavy-Duty Sewing Machine yesterday. This tutorial helped me to get my machine working.
So thank you very much.
I'm hoping to learn more from other videos you have. Thanks again.
Joyce
I am glad it was helpful to you!
THANK YOU!!!!! I had watched about 10 videos before this one. None of them came close to fixing my issue. This video was clear, concise, and extremely helpful!
My pleasure!
Again thank you😄
My pleasurer! I am glad it was helpful.
This is a great Video. I know nothing about sewing. My wife and I purchased this machine and your video took me light years ahead of where I was. Now I have to teach her. Thank You.
That is great to hear Roy! Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks Kevin, I just gave my wife the Singer Heavy Duty 4423 since she wanted to learn to sew. Your video has been of tremendous help and we appreciate the time you took to shoot this video and explain everything in such extraordinary details. Keep up the good work.
+juan acosta Thank you Juan. I am happy to help her get started. I hope she enjoys her new machine!
Thank you for covering all the basics for threading, the different sized needles & threads. I really needed to know this.
Awesome lesson.
You're welcome!
@@toddsayers3583 Thank you! I am glad you found it helpful.
Thank you. The best Heavy Duty video!!! English is not my first language, yet I understand your explanation.
Thank you! I am glad to hear it was helpful to you.
Thank you John!
You're welcome!
Thanks to you I didn't throw the machine in the deep end of the pool😂😂🙄
LOL Glad to hear that. ;)
I'm about to throw mine in the dumpster and I just got it 😓
I have closely throwing of my window 😅
This video is very helpful. I just purchased this machine on Sat for a Christmas present.
You're welcome!
I LOVE YOU. You have literally taught me how to sew during a pandemic. Im totally high on sewing haha!! Its so fun and I owe this all to you Kevin.
Rio Forrest Thank you very much!
Thank you!
You are welcome! I am glad to hear it was helpful for you.
! just got my Singer today and looked high and low on You Tube for starter instructions and found yours to be the easiest to follow. Thanks for this video, it helped me so much.
This is exactly why I created this video Gail. I am happy to hear it helped you get started.
Subscribed!
Ashley Jarrett You’re welcome!
The best tutorial I have ever watched - with sincere thanks from Cambridge UK x
You're welcome!
Glad to be of some help.
Hi Kev' just wanted to thank you for your tutorial, I finally found out I wasn't threading the machine properly. My wife is disabled and the ability to make sewing repairs, etc. will make life much easier.
That is good to hear!
Great detail in this "how to" video.. I learned a bunch of things I did not learn from the official Singer "how to video" for this machine ... Many thanks!!
My pleasure! I am so glad to hear it was helpful.
Thanks for the video. The most useful portion for me was the discussion of the needles for this machine, which starts around 33:00. I haven't been able to find that information anywhere else.
I am glad it was helpful.
Been threading my machine wrong. Thank you for a very clear and informative video.
My pleasure!
Kevin I bought this machine after watching your video and because it was so well done it gave me the confidence to choose this model and I have to tell you I am very pleased with how it handled first few stitches. Thank you Sir.
+Jesus was a carpenter That is great to hear. Thanks for the update!
Wow. I have been trying to learn to sew and Thank God I found your channel. I was not having any success until I followed your directions. You are a life saver.
Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I just got the Singer 4411 and it is perfect! Your tutorial got me going pretty fast! So thanks
+Bryan Stewart You're welcome Bryan!
This video was great! I've never used a sewing machine before. I started watching another video first, but the person went too fast for me and didn't do the close ups that you do for the details. Thanks.
My pleasure!
Hi, thanks to the specific details in this video I'm able to sew for the very first time ever. Love it👍
I am glad to hear it was helpful.
You're welcome!
@@kevinsews Just wanted to let you know I got some ball point needles (and a new seam ripper!) so I'm in business--I already have re-furbished two pairs of pants. Thanks again--yours is the most helpful video by far!
@@6falconsue Thanks for the update! That is great to hear.
I went from not knowing anything to feeling pretty confident with the basics! Thank you. 🥰♥️ Got my first machine today and had no issue setting up and practicing multiple stitches! What a great informative video 😍
That is great to hear!
Finally a tutorial with close up video and great quality! Thanks
You're welcome!
wow such a nice video... after watching dozens of videos this was finally what I needed!
Thank you!
Your video was amazing. I'm a newbie and you were so informative. Even when you spoke, it wasn't annoying and it didn't make me want to fall asleep. You kept me focused. Thank you👍
You're welcome!
I'm brand new to sewing and I'm going to have to watch this about 50 times! Excellent! Thanks so much. I bought a used 4411, which doesn't have the needle threader.
You’re welcome.
You're welcome! I am glad it was helpful.
Great detailed information that I could see. Thanks so much, I’ve subbed and look forward to learning more. I was gifted a Euro Pro X when my brother died so this is in homage to him.
I am sorry to hear for your loss!
Thank you for this video it's really helped me a lot to understand my machine more.I have watched several video and this one is the best from start to finish, now my machine is sewing properly thank you.
You’re welcome!
Picked up this machine for $20 at a flea market, it was missing the foot and some accessories. Once you learn the functions it's a pretty easy to use. Watch this video and others to familia yourself with this machine. Also watch the video on different needle sizes. Practice makes perfect.
You got a bargain. :)
My pleasure!
no way!!! new to me too!!
Really good instructor. Worked machine shop work for a lot of years , wish more guys would be as good.
Thank you!
Great video, I was able to correct my mistakes by your demonstrations. Thank you very much.
+Stone Manchek You're welcome!
WOW ......... AMAZING TUTORIAL, good camera view & very well explained
My pleasure!
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! I couldn't figure out how to thread everything even after reading the manual and quick start guide. This was clear and straightforward.
You're welcome! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Glad to hear those are working for you. Thanks for letting us know.
Don’t listen to the bad comments. This is a very nice personal explanation
Thank you so much. I was such a beginner I really had no idea of the basics even though my mom tried to show me. However you covered a lot more of the foundation which I really wouldn't have understood well without the video. Moving image is different from reading a book.
You're welcome!
Best sewing tutorial EVER!!!! Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
“I’m going to make a quick tutorial”
*posts 55 minute long video*
Grateful for it though thank you kind sir ⭐️
You're welcome!
This is indeed the best sewing instruction video I have seen. thanks. I got a new Singer machine and this has helped a lot.
Madhavi Gaonkar Thanks
I've been using my machine for a few months now, not knowing what I was doing, this helps me a lot! Thank you!
You're welcome!
Sew sew helpful! I’ve been doing it all wrong! Who knew!
I glad to hear it was helpful.
Thank you! You've covered just about everything!!!
+Leslie Anne Pease Thanks!
Your video was a perfect tutorial.
Thank you!
My wife couldn’t get the machine to work and I watched this and it worked great! Your awesome, best video for this singer model!
Great! Thanks for letting me know.
You are so welcome!
Thank you very much. This is the video i have been looking for.
You're welcome!
omg this is the best video!!!I've been struggling with the bobbin installation.. I got it from watching ur video only once.. wasted an hour on other videos trying to figure it out... you're the man!! thanks: )
Noreen George You're welcome!
Saw your channel mentioned in a comment on another channel and boy did try do me favor. You are so helpful. I have this machine , new user and would like to know what size needle can be used in general.
Type and size of the thread determines the needle size. In general have size 10-16 available.
Dear! Even a small child can good understand your beautiful and kind explanation! Thanks lot you for that! 👍👍👍 🙏🙏🙏🌺🌺🌺👌
Thank you! I appreciate you letting me know.
This dude is like the BoB Ross of sewing
I have fought my machine. Tension was awful no matter what I did. You have cleared up so much for me . Thank you 😊 so much! God Bless you!
My pleasure!
Brilliant! I just bought a singer and have watched many video's on sowing your content is far superior to others.
I am glad to hear they are helpful.
Thank you. This is so helpful and direct.
You're welcome!
Hello Kevin, my needle automatic needle threader isn't working. any advice as to why this may be happening?
Make sure your presser foot is at its highest position. If you can't see the tiny wire that goes through the needle's eye then use a magnifying glass. That will let you see what is going on. Usually the wire is bent and it is missing the needles eye.
My post seems wobbly singer 4423 seems like it arrived broken?
Gloria Quintana make sure your needle is at its highest position
You're welcome!
Hi
Kevin, I,m not a stranger to Singer sewing machine, but I,m kind an out of touches lol. The new things that I love is when you winding trading bobbin and putting the thread through the needle. I still need to watching you again. With the thread through the needle part. Thank you. You are very clear of showing the instructions.
Thank you! Let me know if I can be of any further help.
My pleasure!
I haven’t touched my Singer since I got it a month ago cuz i couldn’t find a good comprehensive tutorial, now I’m excited to follow along finally!! This video is a gem💎
That is great to hear. Don’t hesitate to post any questions you have. We have a great community here to help you out.
Thank you. Very clear, thorough, and calming instruction. This really made a difference in my sewing experience.
My pleasure Jordan! Thank you for the comment.
Thank you so much for this tutorial I was struggling 2 days to find out why the machine was missing stitches. I never sewed before. I’m trying to learn because my boyfriend bought it for me as a gift for Christmas.
You're welcome! Have a Merry Christmas!
Thank you!
John Barry That’s great to hear!
Update. I watched the part about the needle threader about 5 times, but I got it. Hooray!!! In the days when I learned many many years ago we had to eyeball the eye and keep poking until we got the thread through. Again, your vid is so detailed so much more than the others. Thank you. Definitely a keeper on my list.
That is good to hear.
Thanks for your tutorial Kevin. I have Singer 4423 and we reviewed just about everything with the machine in 55 minutes. A great primer to watch and review for people who don't sew all the time. Aho !
+BravoEchoAlphaRomeo You're welcome!
I'm so glad I found your video. I haven't used my sewing machine in years, and I forgot the basic functions such as threading the machine, the needle threader, tension etc. I'm back in business now... thank you!!
You're welcome!
+Greta Marlow Haha! I am glad to hear your daughter is able to keep the machine.
Great tutorial. At first I thought this is way too long but so glad I watched it all. I feel very confident in using my new machine and never had any classes in sewing and you definitely taught me some very useful things. Thank you so much!
Yes, it is a bit long, but I am glad you found it useful.
Thank you, I have been sewing for 60 years and never knew about that last little thread hook. We can always learn something new.
Margaret MacPherson You’re welcome!
shilohkoko I am glad to hear this! Thanks for taking the time to let me know.
Thank you so much for your patient thorough explanations. I am new to sewing and this machine. It doesn’t come with a manual and I don’t have a printer to print from online. You are such a blessing.
You're welcome!
Thank you Kevin after messaging you I fiddled around and realized my machine needs to be engaged before it will bring the feed dogs back up...who knew...so thank you again. I really enjoy your tutorials, with out you I'd have no idea what I was doing. :-)
+Cindy Latta Ah yes, this is a very common mistake. I am glad you figured it out.
THANK YOU
Jeannette Aguerrebere You're very welcome Jeannette. Thanks for letting me know.
