- This is my full set from the Guitar Masters concert at the Astra in Berlin on 15th November 2012. Also included is Ladies Night featuring Andy McKee and Antoine Dufour.

I used to take lessons from Andy McKee when I was in high school, he convinced me to get an acoustic guitar and helped me pick it out.. I remember one day at my lesson with him I said Andy do you have any music you've wrote on guitar. Well was I surprised when I handed him my guitar and he just changed my whole perception in about two seconds... I said Andy what is that even I'm flabbergasted... As we talked I said how did you even think of that and he said he had seen Preston Reed play a show in Topeka and he was instantly drawn towards it.. I find myself thinking how lucky I was to have had that experience with him and his insight into a whole different world that I had no inkling of... So really I want to thank you for your music and just tell you how much you mean to those you don't know you've amazed and inspired.. Thank you Preston....

"Waltz of the Snails" just grabs you at the soul, what a beautiful tune. And the classics were so lively and driven. The whole performance was spell binding. Amazing :-)

Preston: I grew up near the end of a rail line, so the sound of diesel locomotives idling all through the night is a sound of my youth and of home ... and the sounds of trains in motion over their tracks, for me, is sometimes evocative of the beat of time and of life and of do-ing, and going places, and be-ing in the moment. The buddhist concept of samsara comes to mind ... and I hear a lot of this in your music too, so I feel confident you understand.

I was listening to my Echoes podcasts and veered off into a Kaki King session when an interview with her asked about influences, naming Hedges of course, and she said, "Yeah, but more so Preston Reed..." Huh... so In Search Of I went. MAN! Am I glad I did! Extraordinary... you certainly deserve more recognition. I'll spread the word!

I became aware of Mr. Preston Reed via his artist series on jam play. I don't even know how to put into words what I was feeling. I've been heavily inspired and influenced by a handful of artist. But now,none more so than you Preston.

Preston Reed Great playing, have you heard of Benny Prashe from India he did a cover of your's Thats how I found you. Chk out his "Bentar" he has it has a 12 string Harp & two bongo heads built into his guitar. Very cool indeed I'm working on some tunes in this style in DADDAD Thx for the inspiration!
