I absolutely love how detailed and down to earth your videos are. Stumbled upon your channel researching a new case since my 4000X isn’t providing the temps that I want. Ended up purchasing the 7000D to future proof my build and install ALL of the fans possible.
@@MrDantevsdeadpool 🎯👍I used a ASUS Ryuo 240mm I had from my 9700k. You just named the main reason I kinda regret not going with the 5000D. I only like my radiators on the top of the case and a 360 won't fit in the 4000D. Even the 240mm AIO was a tight fit width wise on top! LOL The 4000D has mounting holes for a 280mm AIO on top but I don't know if you could get one in there with a full ATX motherboard.
i just got done replacing my old corsair AIO and sp 120 fans with my all new link setup, a link H115i and 6 link QX120 fans, initially i was a little disappointed with how dim the lighting was on the pump for the H115i and thought i did something wrong, but I see it is like that in your setup as well so I'm not so worried about it now. Its a massive improvement over the old fans i had
listening to this made me want to sleep instead of starting my build cause of the relaxing voice. then at the end of the video I just realised you have an asmr channel 😂
Does it look great? Sure it does. But to get 6 fans starter pack + a short cable it would cost 340$ (6 fans because: 1 rear, 2 top, 3 front for neutral airflow) I got 6 Noctua NF-A 12x25 Pwm's for 228$.
Hey Prawn, I would like to say that you quickly become my favorite PC UA-camr - because your videos are full of heart and professionalism. I discovered your channel through recommendation (I can't remember where I saw it though) and watching a lot of videos since. Thank you!
Good thing I saw your video, I was going to replace just a few fans with the new series until I saw how insane it will be to have to get separate cables, links, etc. Thought at Computex or whatever it was they said the new link is backwards compatible. Not spending like $600 (yes it would literally be minimum that) to replace my fans
I found your channel whilst I was researching the corsair 5000d, following the great video's you did on it I ended up buying one for myself but went with master cooler halo fans x10 as they were a great price £38 for 3 pack during the prime sales. case looks great and really pleased with the halo 2's in it. The halo 2's and the v2 control boxes are quite clever and worked really well for me with Signal RGB software.
Ive said it before but I'll say it again...the perfect voice for relaxing yet informative videos! He should really get into some voice work e.g. radio or audio books if he hasnt already cuz he's got it down pat that soothing silky voice! Keep up the great videos man.
I just got the 5000t .I have to admit it's awesome. Look at the coolermaster gpu bracket v3.its verry solid and is adjustable ive tried 3 brackets and others don't do so well with large heavy GPUs.thanks for the content
Side note, on number of items, I'm using a thermaltake core P8 case. This case for one weighs 50 lb without anything in it, and uses a minimum of 16 fans... I'm running 17 not including the fan on my be quiet CPU cooler. As a result with Corsair and the commander pros (Note the plural reference) I'm literally running three commander core pros and three RGB controllers. As expensive as the new link system is, I'll have to save up for it. But is something I'm definitely looking forward to so I can actually close the back of my case lol
I see that corsair upgraded the cables , because my long cable was one 90 degree one and the other normalm one like here not both same, which did help as i had put the fans in without cable , and if it was straight up it would have been hard or id have to change position , but i didnt have to do that
niceeeeeeeeeeee! glad i found ya doing this, always great when that perfect vid matches your build and your plan tyty!@!! i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the 5000d white with gray trim! but mannnnnnnnnnnnnn it was hard i LOVEEEEEEE the corsair link idea and im going to go ALL OUT with it to make the perfect new rgb build but i was suuuuuuuuuuper worried about black fans in a white case!!! thanks for giving it a try so i can see it for real!!! AND SEEIGN THE AIO INSTALL WOULD BE SO CLEAN :) cant wait to rip into it and pray all my stuff works and i bought enoguh stuff hahaha SO GLAD WE CAN DO TRIPLE 140S IN THE FRONT NOW HYPE!!!
Update: The latest packaging on the 3 fan starter kit now comes with an additional 200mm cable for expansion fans. Was a great surprise. Also the cables have 90 degree connectors as well. It seems they have listened to us.
Being late to the show is not always a bad thing, Jay covered the connection of the new link system. Gamers Nexus covered the mechanics of the bearings and the fans. With your video, we have a chance of actually seeing what the RGB looks like🙂
Hi thanks for the video. I have 2 questions , 1st what was the length of the cable you used to connect the exhaust fan to the AIO fan ?, 2nd if the AIO pump was turned the other way with the AIO hub to the exhaust fan how does that connection works?
Maybe a bit late compared to other creators, but you have the best content, so we donˋt mind waiting 😊 Do we get a review of the performance? Especially interested in noice to performance. I think they seem to be listed with a rather high db compared to other thicker fans, with higher RMP. Also would not support this product until Corsair figures out it is outragous to not include cables with the single packs... 😮💨
I have a Corsair 4000X with 10 fans and a 360 EK RGB ELITE, i don't like those fans and i am replacing them with Corsair ML's and SP's. The EK hub is out and i will add a second Core XT as 4 fans are already Corsair, i got the 6 fans and extra CORE XT over the past 6 months when they were on sale. The price of the new stuff and the fact that if you buy a fan you can't even plug it in means i will stick to plan A and avoid plan B as it would cost a FORTUNE, no disrespect to Corsair as your stuff is very good and i like i-link but the fact you can't plug in a fan is not good.
Sorry for the inadvert in spam, on the note of mounting a GPU vertically and closer to the motherboard. I did this with my P8, the end result was my TI ended up cooking the PCIe riser cable. Making it effectively useless.
Do you think the aio and radiator would fit in the h6 flow? Or if the link fans will fit in the front right side? I cant find the height limit on the radiator and those front fans. I recently got a black h6 flow and am trying to find a good rgb fan set that I can really customise and change around.
Do you have any info on connectivity between 140 mm and 120 mm? Can you link those two sizes together?, or do you need separate hubs for the two different sizes?
Have you encountered the red triangle on the LCD error? I just finished my build but the LCD won't work. However, my pump and fans are running normally.
@@honinakecheta601 I plugged the USB from the LCD directly into another USB header on my motherboard and reinstalled everything and seems to be working at last.

To change out my present fans (Lian-Li UNI SL120 INF x10) in my current case (Lian-Li O11 Dynamic XL) would cost me £470 (3x3 packs and a single fan) That's just the fans, no AIO, just fans. If I removed my AIO (NZXT Kraken X73) to get the iCue Link H150i to get 3 fans and then purchase 2x 3 packs and a single, it would be £570! I like the idea of less cables, and with my present fans I do have less, but not to the degree of the iCue Link fans. However, the price of these fans, even if I managed to sell my present fans and AIO, would not be enough to justify buying these fans, just for less cabling! Also why would I go from an AIO with a great screen to one that just lights up!? The worse thing is if you wanted to start small, like a couple of single fans in your case, you would then have to purchase cables too, as the singles do not come with cables, even at around £45 per fan!!
There is no value in switching from LIan Li to Crosair the 2 systems basicly do the same thing i dont understand why you woud switch ever you gain nothing out of it other then wasting your money
@@xythiera7255 I was trying to explain how much it would cost, if I did and what the expense is to fit out the same case as mine. I did say I couldn't justify the cost, even if I sold my own fans AIO. I think this is something to bare in mind when I come to upgrade, 2025/6???🤔😁
So scummy that they don't throw 1 daisy chain cable in each single fan package. As if this product line isn't already way expensive, they have to nickle and dime with cables too.
11:59 -- you are perplexed because you do not understand the function and purpose of the new 'link' system and also Corsair are money hungry heathens and will charge you 20 bucks for a cable. First, they fit together like legos so the 'expansion fan' is intended to convert take a triple radiator kit and expand it to a quad radiator kit... yes, there is such a think as a quad fan radiators. What corsair could do is sell a single expansion fan without cable and a single stand alone fan with cable. However, how long should that cable be with the single stand alone fan? They could package the longest cable possible, but then what if you only need to reach 2 or 3 inches to link it into the triple fan kit? You can connect things up in serial, so your fan placement an cable lengths should be optimized, selling a single cableless fan allows you to purchase the correct cable/length to support that single exhaust fan and you avoid the cable slack/mess nightmare.
