Way to give the client a reality check bro!
What i wanna know is who the hell cant hook up their own stove? Thats pretty damn sad
@@adammonahan687Your wife, mom, sister, aunt, grandma, and future potential daughter.
Probably due to liability reasons since he is renting the place out
Same thing here. Make sure you there at 8am to paint the house. Also there's a delivery of appliance to take inside...
Psshhh are you kidding? Our guy still had to either unwrap a bunch of trash from it before he would install his part. You wanna know who did the delivery? The guy who changed the locks last week probably.
I deal with that type of client all the time in California they just try to push and see how much they can get away with unfortunately !
I know exactly what you mean bro I live in the Bay Area and it’s all the techies that try and pull that.
@@49ER_WAYzyeah bro i do service in San Francisco and the peninsula it be all the techies who try to get you to do twice the work for half the price. I get it, people moved here from other states so they’re shocked by the prices. Whenever i deal with someone who’s really from frisco they know what it is. At one point Sf was the most expensive city on the planet so they know what it really means to live here. What pisses me off is these techies have high paying jobs and live in multi million dollar houses in CALIFORNIA where people literally dream of coming to someday. To put it into perspective ive had guys who wanted me to put water heaters in for $1500… like bro not even a handyman would do it for that price in this area
@@Kp-2 Rich people are the least deserving people to be rich. It’s funny how life is like that
@@patrick39140 pretty sure hes talking about supplying unit plus install, not just labor. Besides that, customers here in CA wanna "pay for the parts" so you charge only labor, but still expect you to make the list of parts they need for them(bypassing paying for your knowledge/experience) and then to pick up the parts after they pay (bypassing/ignoring cost of fuel/time spent picking up parts). Then they want u to think that them paying for parts benefits the us, the contractor, when in reality they just wanna bypass markup on time/material, then they want to lowball the labor, AND THEN expect you to provide extra work/services than you originally agreed upon and pay the same cheapskate price.
@@jivet3919
They are overpaid IT people.
Bruh you're not kidding. I was asked to do a floor for a bedroom. When I arrived to do the work, the whole room was full. I packed up and left. Told client, I agreed to do the floor, not be your personal moving service.
Good thing you stood up for yourself. They were trying to get a free service.
Business toughens you up like crazy , My boss was TOUGH … This dude was a professional at arguing 😂
People were always trying to take advantage lol
Wow, for real ? That's crazy. You wonder what goes on in people's heads sometimes.
"Bro, I can't do floors if there's shit ON the floors."
Yes people are real funny sometimes hilarious.🤌 🌬✌️💪♥️
when I was a mover I cannot tell you how many times people said they were going to clean their house and you get there the whole house is packed, dressers are completely full, nightstands have s*** all over them
Unfortunately my boss doesn’t have the balls to tell someone we won’t do something. We went from HVAC guys to plumber, electrician and NOW we’re carpenters.
Go join a union stop fuckin around
No bro I been there Every week my 🤡 of a boss would like add too our responsibilities. But money always seemed to be push to the side of the conversation you better leave!!
I know what you mean and I hated to do it to my guys when I first started out. But it was a surefire way to make payroll that week.
sounds like you don't have balls to tell your boss no.
Ya boss is charging those clients extra, if you not getting a bonus don't do that shit
When I ran my own plumbing crew, we did everything from brain surgery to C-sections and RICO defense in court to appliance delivery alongside baby delivery while pleasing their wives while husband was "stranded another week or so in Dubai"
Good stuff buddy. I feel ya.🤣🤣🤣
So you didn't actually do any plumbing.
I get it, you were one of those Mario bros or something huh.
@@santosdr2 yeah we just ate shrooms and banged princesses lol
Bro, I just died!!!! That’s is a long layover In Dubai….

Customer's Viking range was red tagged by gas utility. Customer moved the heavy ass stove downstairs into the garage for storage while the kitchen hardwood floor was being refinished.
Customer called for stove repair, it was condemned because there was a gas leak from the stove.
There was no gas hookup in the garage to check for gas leaks and had the nerve to ask me to move it back upstairs now that the kitchen floor was finished.
Told her I was a technician, not a mover. Lol
That's fuckin right!! I live in mass so people know the value of plumbers for the most part and don't bother us with that stupid shit but there will be a time in my future I'll get stupid requests like that I'm sure lol!
No 25' gas line extension hose?
I was changing a guy's igniter on his dryer 🤡 Honesty thought that a service Tech meant cleaning service. I said brah "I fix- YOU clean."
Legit question, but why would you connect actual gas to a stove that is already known to have a leak? Don't you have some kind of identifier gas to use for that? Like in a portable tank?
Like in my truck shop, we charge AC systems with nitrogen because why would we pump freon into the air and where we're breathing if we already know it's going to leak out.
@@Irishrebel092gas is cheap and has the mercan mixed in so leaks can be smelled
When I work for the cable company I would have people have the tv in the box and ask me to hang the tv 😂 that’s not my job .
That's when you say. Got 200 cash?
Now they want all their TVs and devices connected to their WiFi, I just tell my job stops at our equipment. 😂
I get that all the time.
Sometimes I'll help out if it benefits me.
But that's rare.
Same here but lately being too nice has been fucking me over, time to do a Reality check on them
About 10 years ago I was riding my bike down the road when a lady stopped me and asked for help moving a new refrigerator into the house. They had it on the dolly and up to the door just couldn't get it lifted up the threshold and inside the kitchen. Took me less than 3 minutes and she gave me five bucks.👍
@@desertodavidnot worth 5 bucks well atleast to me and not 10 years ago. Maybe 20 years ago when i was a young teen

The country would also be a lot better off if people thought before they acted. Plan ahead and you won’t need to have random people save you from your problems.
I got to give my clients reality checks like this a lot cause they think since I’m a painter, that I’m also a cleaner, a carpenter, a roofing guy, a mold specialist, etc.
and it’s ALWAYS the clients that expect perfection without paying for it!
Try to be here with your team?!😂 3 plumbers standing around all day waiting for the delivery service to show up 👌🏽.

Nah if he really knew his worth he'd say "Okay" and arrive at 6am and start the clock on his hourly rate because he "didn't want to miss the delivery."

Karen clients are the funniest
I had a client once I refused to do the shower body. I was unsure I says we'll send someone else over and as I was walking out. She was cherping on me. I says I could've been an Astronaut she called my boss and told him. I was drunk Never ever. Did I drink on a job ever🤌 Dbag👎🏾👎🏼🌬🩶 Pitcher saying that an messing with the man's livelihood false Accusations.😔
As an electrician I not only appreciate you handling clients like this but I even more appreciate the 6' hose so I can get behind it if/when that outlet back there fails.
"I'm a plumber". Can 100% confirm your voice checks out!
Totally agreed. We move appliances all the time for new flooring, sometimes completely out of house . Toilets are one thing. But refrigerator full of food and washer dryer that doesn't fit through doorways is no braino
I love when the customer says "oh well did you try it this way" like your not a master of spatial recognition at this point. Bitch it won't fit, stop ✋
Everyday my guy. I go to a house to fix the fridge; “can you look at sink” “my water heater needs to be drained and cleaned” “ the circuit breaker panel is loose and arching” ; well mam or sir, it looks like you need a plumber and an electrician. I fix appliances.
@@MannyRosales-fi4ffif it's not bid work, I'll make it clean enough to eat off.
Dang brother!!!!
You Gotta tell'em!! I'm here for your dishwasher Im Not fixing your whole house
I love the transition from trash talking about the client to going back to giving useful information 😂
My favorite is when the customer expects us to clean up their shitty water / feces after having a sewer stoppage cleared … I’ll always respond… “ Folks you hired a licensed plumber not a janitorial service” 😅… ps. Broski those old school gas valves such as you left on that range , are almost always going to seep from the bottom of the center core ( at the tension spring) i’d suggest a full port AGA ball valve ( don’t even need to shut the gas service down ) Love the vids my guy 👍
Hahahahha
I had one client ask me to spray the multiple wasp nest in her attic.
I told the lady, I’m here for by our attic fan replacement. I’m an electrician not an exterminator. She wasn’t happy so said the light bulb I installed last visit was flickering. I told her to buy a new one and would swap it for her, just like last time. 🤯🤯🤯
I run a home appliance store and you should see the amount of clients that ask my delivery guys to do your job.. Hell no we wont connect the water, we're not insured for that! 😂
You don’t need to be insured for that idiot!
The problem is a salesperson told them that you would. Doing freight delivery I had a lot of people that ordered stuff online that was just liftgate delivery to the end of their driveway. I'd be nice and put it in the garage but they would want that new fridge unboxed in the house the old one removed plugged in handles put on.
@@magicalphones cause that’s how it’s done! Yes removal of old one isn’t always part of the deal but end of the driveway is NEVER the agreement!
Yeah facts. My landlord had a gas stove delivered, told me the guys would install and take the old one away. They were like no sorry sir we just deliver (I don’t blame them, at least they brought it to my kitchen). Ended up having to watch UA-cam how to hook up a fucking gas stove thought I was guna blow myself up
Residents in NYC are funny like that. You take a lot of pride in your work.
you missed the opportunity to charge that client an extraordinary fee to accept delivery 😂
Right. That will be another $750.00 baby lets go.
Facts THATS what I was saying 😂😂😂
As an ex appliance delivery man of about 15 years that GE stove is good right on the main floor you keep that $750
As a appliance repair tech, 6ft for the win
Until ny says no more gas.
@Tyani-sz6cg screw that they can't take gas away. 90% of people in the north relay on it to heat their homes in the winter
This dude is the best, love watching his videos. Straight up New Yorker who tells you the fuck like it is
Stay tough broskie. Good job!!!
Same in the UK. Errrr no you called for a price to install the new one you supplied. If it’s in the lobby of the building I can’t install it!! The best ones are where they expect you to take the old appliance away as well 😂
I once had a customer ask me to rearrange their furniture for them... I'm in I.T. support.
Or the infamous all too common “hey I have a great idea! Let’s make this [insert would-be billion dollar startup cost super complicated] app since you know how to code and we can get rich from it!” 😂
You know… you know how to code… you know how much work is involved… they just spit out feature after feature as if you just select them from a menu and they magically appear in the app with millions of users 😂
I don't see anything wrong with the customer asking that, as long as he's willing to do 2 things 1) accept a no 2) be willing to pay extra.... These guys work hard enough as it is, if you're going to ask extra, be ready to pay extra.
As a business owner, this sounds about right people are needy and asking for the most.
Yooo. Fr. These clients always trying to get over on someone. 😂😂😂
No joke. Hey while you're here patching the dry wall and repainting the interior, can you pull the weeds and trime the bushes in-between?
Lol I get this now and then and will sometimes accommodate for the right price. Also way too many people use the short flex lines and it kills me so very thankful for common sense.
Your fantastic man you got me in stitches
bro i love your videos your hilarious 😂😂
Favorite channel and tradesman by far. Keep makin it hap'n cap'n.
I build transmissions and I ask people to leave their cars for appointments, sometimes they're like "can I wait while you check it?" I'm like "uh, we'll what if it needs some work, I can't fix it while you're driving down the road..."
Love this guy’s commentary
Damn dude you almost had me thinking you were the only full service joint in NYC.
😂😂 got his ignorant ass, I love this guy!
"And drop my car off at the mechanic for service while you're at it." 😂😂😂
My dad worked for RotoRotor for over 20 yrs...he has his own business now...I worked with him for over a year and we put ALL in when customers asked.....the cast iron tub was the worst...but I agree with you and love the videos!
I appreciate your professionalism and attention to detail. The only way I would move stuff is if we supplied it, and last I checked the supply store don't sell stoves... water heaters and toilets yes.
You make my day sometimes dawg 😂😂💯
This is why new yorkers a lot of money because the tough and discipline when it comes to business just like your brother I watch a lot of your videos and I see it on you

U just gotta play with em some 😉
We have to put a sediment trap AKA drip leg before entering an appliance here in TX,
The audacity is hilarious. Good for you for standing your ground.
Never ceases to amaze me what other people want because they’re too lazy or uneducated to know how things are done.
Doesn’t the valve need to be charged? I was under the impression the inspectors don’t like those old type of valve.
It not like job
You don't have to upgrade that old beast of a gas valve to a new code approved valve?

Yes sir. That's how you do it. Thumbs up 👍 for you. Got to keep them customers in check. That's how I used to be working low voltage and tech for this grest smalled bussiness whose boss always tried to be nice to the costmers which boiled down to us braking our backs. Good job keeping that customer in check.
Landscaping. We have customers who have been with us or our guys for 15-20 years. For them its nothing to bring in the empty garbage, change a light bulb. Its why we send an extra guy with each truck, do the little things to make our customers happy with us. Then if we have a week of rain, so we can't make it and when we do it might be too long to do the kind of standard we aim for. But they never complain about it. Invest in that goodwill fund with long term clients, we can pay them to do our advertising for us.
Yes brother I have to agree with you 110%. He probably saved on the cost of bringing the fixtures up and dumped it On you like a big you know what?💩👈 🌬✌️♥️💪
Hahaha so true, especially in buildings with no elevators. That’ll be an extra 1k please lol
Usually I just tap the like, because I'd be writing the same message everytime I see one of your vids about how funny (and I learn something) they are, this one had me laughing all the way thru!

“Quote is to renovate your kitchen bro, not renovate your life!” Lol boy I felt you on that one my brother😂 keep up the great work my bro!
FUCKING EXACTLY! That's what the residents expect. Especially NY, East Coast & any other states in the US. If the client has money & lives in a multifamily environment that's usually the case. Your vids always make me laugh! I'm a licensed flooring contractor with a specialty dual Lic(CR). Most of our work is downtown area of Phx & multifamily. Take care my man.
You the man!...
We were delivering/assembling at Whirpool/JB Hunt. I was with one the guys who was used to Electrolux and was moved there to get acquainted. We’re delivering this bed to a customers home & it was uncrate/haul trash (no assembly) They tried to make us assemble the bed along with moving the old bed out the room (not on paperwork) I had to explain that to the customers housekeeper. We uncrated removed the trash and left. If it’s not on the paperwork, it’s not getting done.
I really enjoy these voice overs 😂😂
You are hilarious Bro....love your feed, Bruh 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Proper thing, I get this all the time
😂😂😂 Gotta Love My City NY 1 in A Million 🙌 Keep up the Grind Bruh videos are Awesome💯🫡
My old company was so desperate for “5-star reviews”; they’d have us doing stuff WAY out of our job scope. I’m all about doing extra to make our customers happy, but you’d have customers who want you to be a miracle maker for every situation in their life. Its always “Hey, while you’re at it, can you… blah, blah, blah” The worst part is that if you do “extra” and something goes wrong, your gonna scree yourself over.
I did power washing for apartments ... Passed notes 30 days to not leave your car in the area only a few read it i had people telling me i had to wash their cars cause i over splashed hahahaha yeah GL
Bro I love your channel. Contents funny af and top tier quality
Not the "Renovate ya life" 😂😂
I cant with you your too funny brotha
On the other side, if your boss ever had you do some out of your job description shit like carry the appliances up the stairs, that means he wanted to please the client and you were the asshole he used to please (you read that right. Pun intended). Shout out to him for standing up for himself and his employees.
You’re a funny guy. Straight up New Yorker. 😂😂😂 with an attitude
I deal with customers wanting extra odd stuff done too. I know the feeling! Oh and adding extra slack on lines always helps

I worked at a plumbing supply and one day I was delivering a boiler. I was instructed by the owner to put it on the side of the house and was in the process when the neighbor came over and insisted that I, all 145 lbs of me, must put this 400 lb boiler up onto the porch which had five steps leading up to it.
