I have owned an 07 F800S for over 18 years now and it is a fantastic motorcycle once you get through some of it's quirks. The booster plug is a must. I am six foot and never had a single complaint touring all around the United States on mine.Love it!
Thanks for an excellent test, really helpful, at minute 12:33 there is a weld on the left of your hand, check this weld because it looks cracked on the left side. . .
Hi, Great videos, Do you know by any chance how many Km's/ miles this engine can last? I have an opportunity to buy one, it looks pristine, but it has 110,000 km on it (68350 miles) 2007 model. Thank you
Hi, I don't really know the extreme mileage capabilities, but I guess it'll last as long as it is well maintained. I've seen reports on forums of bikes going well over 100k miles
Hi, I'm about 5ft 10 and it fits fine, I don't hink you'd have any issues but definitley give it a test ride first. Good luck, and happy riding if you buy it!
😂 Noted! Also, I don't think this bike is actually an ST - It's an S that someone has tried to turn into an ST. The ST was only available in blue and 'graphite' according to the BMW press release. Fooled me though! Thanks for your comment mate
The heated grips were not standard - mine came without them. You've a great bike, but it does look like an F800S - as someone already meantioned, the ST never had red fairings.

Fascinating. Thinking about getting one, had a couple of opposed twins in the past.
Great bikes, but there are some well documented common issues online. If you can find a good one, then I would say go for it.
@@thomascharnock Thanks mate, found a low mileage, full service history one cheap, enjoying it so far.

Thanks for that, I'll have a look on the video. I can't look on the actual bike...because it was nicked!
Thank you! Very informative & unintentionally persuasuve. I think I'm going to be a BMW wanker. You definitely earned a sub!
Haha, join us as BMW wankers :) Thanks for your comment

You're welcome
Don’t forget to wash your res sock, they go crusty with regular use 😜 lol. Yep, they’re quirky things f8’s but very very good. Enjoy! 👍

@@thomascharnock check the vin number with a BMW dealer, they’ll be able to give you full build specs etc. 👍
Guest appearance by Notch 😂
Glad someone noticed 😂

Yep, you're spot on. It's an S with an ST fairing stuck on. I don't mind though, guess it makes it one of a kind! Thanks for commenting :)
I have heard bad news for this engine from owners, until 2010 models...
As you have stated you are now a BMW w#nker now 😊, are you still going on Sunday???
Yes mate, in my diary!
Marvelous
