You must havce never ridden in the UK Scotland, Ireland. These are fine soft days as they say. The F800 is one of my most fave bikes ever in 60+ years of riding.
Thanks for the ride, Tim. I recently took a week-long trip thru north Texas and New Mexico. Stayed in Ruidoso a couple of days...beautiful. Will have to check out the Cloudcroft area next trip. Good vibes from San Antonio.
That looked like a great trip. I cannot wait till I can take a trip to western parts of North Carolina and see some of the mountain ranges there. After a long time of not having a bike I purchased a dream ride if mine the 2022 Triumph Trident 660. Ride safe as always my guy!
Many moons ago I rode from Misquamicut RI to Pittsfield MA after a weekend at the beach in the remnants of a tropical storm. Giving nature the middle digit can put you up to a decent challenge.
It looks like a nice place to ride. I didn't realize how much NM looks like Kentucky does in some places. It was cool that you accepted your own challenges and won.
I must have missed something -- where did the BMW come from? Even though it's been nearly 50 years now (since 1975), I well remember the ride up through NM on US70 as one of the real high points of the trip home from LA to DC. Couldn't believe it when I found myself in that pine forest after all the desert scenery earlier. Solar observatory looks like a cool place. Back in May I was in WV, rode past Green Bank Radio Observatory, home to the world's largest fully steerable radio telescope; didn't have time to stop and tour the science center, and the first time I went by there a couple years ago it was closed due to the pandemic, but there was an interesting sign on the door. It pointed out a red gate at the far end of the parking lot; beyond that point, NO electronic devices may be used. The last line on the sign read, "We could pick up your cell phone in airplane mode on Saturn". Loved the musical interlude!
Much appreciated as always. BTW, the BMW is one of Clif's bikes. I've ridden it in the past here on the channel. It sits in his garage a lot so he let me put some miles on it. It was the perfect bike for this wet trip. Cheers.
Hi Tim this video was class I'm getting close to buying this bike as my daily rider it's the only thing I've seen do big tours and great lap times (plus I can't drive a car so my girlfriend says I gotta get something comfy enough for us both haha)
I've been looking for a physically smaller touring bike. I think you might have sold me on the F800! What kind of range do you get with it? Great video, thanks!
Pretty dang nice video Tim...I was hoping to get your honest thoughts on the F800GT. I realize now it wasn't about the bike. However, do you have any videos where you talk about the varies aspects of your F800GT? I'd love to hear about it
Nice trip. Same bike and windscreen on mine... I can hear on the video that your voice is ckear; so I presume that you have no wind noise... Which helmet do you own, please? height? I am 1.78 mts and I am a bit worried about the wind noise issue. Thanks in advance
Great video Tim. Love that area, growing up we rented a small cabin up at the girl scout ranch up there. If you ever want a fun dirt adventure. You can ride up from Del city to weed. Twt-ntklr650
F 800 GT is so underappreciated for how great it is!
You are clearly very creative, beautiful scenes, great music, thoroughly enjoyed. Oh yeah, I came b/c I just bought an F800ST.
Congrats on your ST. Nice choice and thanks for the kudos.
Always a pleasure Tim. Thanks for bringing us along!

Awesome video man! I understand exactly what you mean about self imposed challenges.
Much appreciated! Such are the challenges that can make you feel most alive.

I miss that area! thanks for the great video.
My pleasure. Thanks for tuning in. Cheers.
"We may be drinking beer all day tomorrow." That's the best thing I do when it rains all day. Sit outside with a cold one.
Very much agreed.
Cool video, when it rains we all get wet. 🤙🏻✌🏻🏍
Heh-heh. So true. Thanks!

No doubt.

I'd like t have a getaway place up in that high country, but it's a lot cheaper to just get a motel. LOL. Still, it's a wonderful place.
Tim finally joined the dark side, just admit it membership has it's perks! )
:-)

You'll love it. Good luck
Haven't been to Cloudcroft since the 70's.
It's still as quaint and beautiful as ever. :)
Well done, nice selection of Beemers.... How many bikes do you have now?
Too many. LOL. I just went from six to five. I'm slowly thinning my herd down. :)
another awesome video man, you make great vids.. i'd be happy with a new one everyday lol. thanks for sharing. also, whats the name of this motel?
Thanks a million. BTW, the name of the motel is Dusty Boots. It's myfavorite place to stay up there in the mountains.
Hey Tim, any more videos coming?
I'm probably going to do an end-of-year vid and then hopefully get back on track with more episodes in 2023. Thanks for the interest.

Can you share the Mentalpotamus music?
I have the full version on my SoundCloud and also here on my UA-cam Channel.

Whendya get the BMW?
Clif's. It's the same one I've featured here several times before. He keeps enticing me to buy it. LOL.
What windshield is that on your GT?
Puig.

Thanks amillion. BTW, I've heard of guys making that ride. We saw lots of dual sport and adventure riders up there.
