I’m an ex-Land Rover engineer, so I can fully appreciate the time and effort that you put into your vehicles…the 300Tdi is the best engine LR ever produced, no electronics to speak of, incredible build integrity and very easy maintenance, that’s why it was specified for almost every military application going, the Defender XD Wolf is the culmination of all LR engineering know how and they’re literally unbreakable and only used the 300 TDi (except a few special forces variants), so it saddens me a little when I see an old Defender ‘overdone’ in this fashion, but happy another has been saved…but Maurice and Spencer would be horrified I’m sure.
I really appreciate listening to the purr of that engine. Love that!

The sound of Effortless power . Although , in reality , what you could hear was the 35 inch Treps .
Those tires are very heavy agreed, I'm running 37's on mines here in the USA, and I had problems keeping up on the hwy, also over heating, I ended up doing the Cummins swap, I really wanted to do the n57 bmw diesel conversion, but it was a very rear pricey engine here in the USA, keep up the great work

For some reason when I was younger, I always stalled under pressure when stuck in traffic going up hills. I learned on a 93 Ford Ranger. People like to get right behind you so can't roll back a little. You have to get it perfect the 1st time. After that, I avoided even looking at manual cars.
With a little practice you can get it right every time and driving a manual is really more fun than an automatic. A Land Rover Defender is easier than a Ranger also since the Defender since it's a taller geared transmission in 1st.

listening you about this bruno is like a cure for my soul. i will definetly reconsider should i sell one or should i keep them both, defender (D90 Td5 soft top & 2016 D110 station wagon). our EU 0 emission regs. are coaming closer and closer...again, should i sell or should i keep them..no easy life..cheers
This Defender is my crush - could stand in for a mini GMC Hummer h2 for me.However,when U say "our own Landrovers" does that mean Landrover as a Tm is franchised to a handful of car designers for personalized designs? Need to know please
what sort of which craft have you done to get it so quite? My defender is still noisey even with sounddeading on the bonnet and most of the cabin?
When you re-gear the F & R diffs, are you changing from 3.54 to 4.11? Any changes to the 1.41 transfer case?
I have the discovery transfer case in my 300, its good for motorways, but too tall for trailer pulling. And my 300 is on 405,000 Miles, never broke down,
Tyres are way too big. Check the rear arches.
