The era of Bolt, Powell, Gatlin, Gaye, Blake, Carter, Frater, Rodgers, etc was the best of Track and field. Any one of these guys would easily be the standout stars now.

I agree that it's a different generation of athletes, and the influences are also different. In my opinion track before was fierce and entertaining - and you guys were apart of making that happen.

What actually caused it was the size of the country. The USA is just too big, guys were far away from each other while Jamaicans just lived right around the corner from each other
