I don’t think it’s a stretch because EVO survived for years off of Marvel and CvS2 and 3rd Strike. I think the best thing to do is have 2 retro games. Maybe 1 2D and 1 3D. But even the current way it’s set up: looks like they will move a huge turnout retro games to official side games like 3S. I wouldn’t mind if Bloody Roar 2 or Extreme in there eventually but that won’t happen. I think that spot will be promo for new sequels and remasters in the future. We might get Tekken5/SC2 or VF2/4 next year and CvS2 2026 (preceding the CvS3 reveal 👀).
I think CvS2 should be at EVO as an official line-up the year the CvS2 collection releases. It should be in the throwback category, similiar to MVC2 currently.
