I dropped sf6 a year ago, because of throw mechanics, unblocables etc, don't even care about the game anymore. Passed t8 because they killed Eddy with this stupid character rework.

Took the words out of my mouth. I play ranked and casual. All this battlehub stuff, other than the AI fight thing, is bullshit.

We need more new skins/custom for the actual Street fighter 6 characters.

I kinda hate these topics because it starts going beyond the targeted audience being the FGC and hits people who have no investment in the scene, have never played a fighting game or interacted within the community. This is only highlighting a piece of the larger picture and to the uninformed casual viewer of these games and makes it seem more relevant. People will come in here and talk about the FGC like they know it. It gets worse when people with certain political agendas have a lighting rod for supposed controversies. These UA-cam essays are drama farming for people who don't actually give a fuck about the scene outside of they heard it's bad.

The only fighting game is doing bad that just came out is Mortal Kombat, everything else is doing just fine it’s just growing pains

Eh SF6 is just boring to play eventually. It's a very casual FG and there's a lack of depth in everything in SF6. There's no need to lab combos anymore, neutral is very easy compared to previous iterations of SF and the game overall is just too fast for my liking, everything does too much damage, the stage is way too small and it feels like both players are just hitting eachother into the corner constantly. I'm not the best at SF6 but I'm not awful either I hit 1700 MR with Zangief and have gotten into around 1650s with other characters like Ryu, Akuma, and Terry and it's so boring that pressure in the corner just boils down to shimmy / throw and it's made worse by how much damage characters do. I honestly just stopped playing SF6 atm until they add interesting characters like Urien and started playing older titles like 3S and USF4.

To me SF us more intuitive but i can see why to some people find it limiting and restrictive. Less things to worry about so you can hone in your focus. Teching throws is hard to grasp but generally simpler for me. Tekken is harder and like unnecessarily hard so many moves (even given the fact you're not seeing most moves) to keep track of. Endless techniques too from low parry, high lows & mids, throw breaking (don't get me started on grapplers), recovery tech, EWGF, KBD, side stepping and 3d movement in general, STANCE CHARACTERS, stage mechanics and dynamics. It can feel hopless and endless like it's overwhelming. Tekken also has a different tempo, it's for sure slower. I find myself having to slow myself down to do combos. The execution needed for SF is RAPID in comparison. Recognising things in tekken is harder for me also, i wonder why. Both gave super stiff competition so pretty even on that front. Love both, good to see both series flourish. Good video as well, first time viewer keep it up.

Depends on the game. Third Strike? Very hard game. Modern? Tekken is harder. The movement, the amount of tech in the game. Getting hit by CH mid combo. It’s easier to get into for sure.

We need more hype games: cvs3, 4th strike, samsho vs soul caliber, etc.

Makes sense why there's a decline. Not much content beside new characters. Sf6 had barely any unlockables besides for created characters. Tekken got boring quick. Customization was good but the last dlc was dumb. Mortal Kombat has no new invasions or kameos just a couple new characters otw. Sparkling zero has no unlockable for customization. And no news when dlc well be released. The fighting games went hard 2023 but dropped off fast

Capcom HAD to make their characters sellouts in sfv because that game was failing and i feel like they want to respect the characters when it comes to outfits thus time around.

I Love Tekken 8 and i agreed the crontroversal season pass 1 but Tekken 8 is very good and the same in SF6 the FGC players saying"it's Better the old games" they need learn in games evolution in the time obvios is have something is terrible for exemple the price in the characters in tekken 8 but is look foward and learn with mistakes i undestand the frustations but the new FGC is good

They are just go against the grain to build up veiws,likes and audience.

The new fatal furry is going to be just like street fighter 6 if not even worse with hyper over obsession over meter management with too many mechanics and thats where every game new fighting game is focused on. The good fighting games were the old school games like Killer Instinct, Street fighter 3rd strike, street fighter 4 and street fighter vs capcom 2.

SF6 is the only good 2D fighter rn VF5 is the best 3D fighter if people play it

Making us pay for legacy characters. Slow roll out of new content. Dumbing gameplay down. People will buy off nostalgia and have opinions bc they spent the money already. Guilty Gear was distinct and recognizeable and they created the most original characters that never copied each other. Not only they homogenized the whole roster in strive, making everybody a gorilla, ironically, while trying exactly opposite, but they also for the first time soiled the franchise with a crossover that nobody asked for and that doesn't fit in by a long shot. Guilty Gear was for players, Strive is for twitch viewers. The kind of fighting games player who will buy a dlc character and mash buttons for 2 days before returning to whatever f2p live service is most popular today.

The fact that people worry more about costumes and content just shows me that it's not even about fighting games anymore. It's all a charade for casuals who don't play fighting games, Capcom has gotten so caught on focusing on the wrong crowd that the actual fighting game players (myself) they just tossed to the side. They need to focus on improving the game weather then worrying about playing dress up with loveable characters if anything they're catering to a group of dudes who can't get ass that's why they're worrying about dress up they wanna look at Cammy and Chun Li asses all day smh

I have played fighting games for most of my life and especially Tekken has been part of my life since I was 1 digit number age. Tekken 8 made me quit the franchise and probably fighting games in general, at least until something truly special comes.

i see people thinking that this is how the game will look, its never gonna look like that guys. animations dont work like that.

Nothing much to look forward to, to be honest. Street Fighter 6 looks and plays great, but it's drive mechanics sometimes make things worse. All major modern fighting games feel very stressful to play. I dropped strive and tekken 8, returned to Guilty Gear Rev2 and continue to grind it. I don't delude myself with hope that guilty gear will return to how it was before strive with it's next game. Don't hold hopes for VF6 either, because their team skipped many years of experience making fighting games, and the risk of a flop is too high imo. The "gameplay concept" and teaser don't show anything worth discussing either, but we'll see how it goes. Still many old games to enjoy. Would gladly play USF4 again if it had rollback btw.

Most of these should be f2p yet still they charge premium plus BP and payed additional characters.

I am a casual player and I think 80% of the avatar stuff is bad. It feels like most of the stuff is AI generated. Also there is almost no stuff to dress my female avatar ( yes Capcom it is female not body type 1234) sexy. Also the color prices are to high. I have Color 10 for some characters thanks to pre order but I have to pay the full package price? Same goes for music. Anyway have a good day.

I still want 60€ back. It wasnt even a raw game. It was a pure scam. It didn't even work on pc, everything was teleporting and its not just that there was no content, it never worked right. The netcode was never fully fixed, they had rootkits (viruses essentially) on pc in the game files, and when pc community made a patch to fix the netcode they had the audacity to ban the patch. Bro we are fixing your broken game, you should be thanking us. Capcom still owes me 60€ to this day

MK1 is just a scam directly, it is just good for multiplayer addicts but no more than that Tekken 8 just got stomped by sweatlords that were like HOW DARE YOU PICK A CHARACTER I DON'T LIKE? NERF THEM!!!! but on launch just seemed to do pretty well on it's own and justified the 70 dollars it costs with a good story, good gameplay and LOTS of content for offline playing Street Fighter 6 did... something?... with the DLCs that were more like the cut content put into the base game but overall it feels good and just wanting to spend some time playing offline or with friends. The online avatar isn't actualy a feature that'd fit the series since you could just pick a character of the roster or chibi version of it and that's it Guilty Gear haven't heard much of it lately so that's up to subjection of the reader or player and ofc, i have to blame all the games from disociation of digital currency from your money which i MK and SF fight on who scams the most with them

The thing that makes this lack of actual content for the Street Fighters is that we truly don't know how much Capcom makes from these avatar options and the like, and considering WT can only supplement people for so long (Whereas the major focus the game gets is from the competitive side, generally), their methods of releasing content via FC is something they can only blame themselves for. Yeah, they got flak for the first wave of costumes being hella expensive, but that's literally only because you could not buy enough FC without having to pay for another collection of coins which is just scummy no matter how you spin it, and it's not like most folks truly care about many of the challenges for the Battle Passes since Kudos is effectively worthless to most folks who usually only focus on Drive Tickets for the content it unlocks.

Honestly I mainly play Street Fighter 6 via Offline Vs. Mode and don't really care about the Battle Pass, CAC or World Tour, however when my Best Friend gets this Game, I'll also play it Online with him, until then I'll continue to play this Game and my Other Fighting Games, Offline via Offline Vs. Mode.

This happens every time, players cry and complain aboutba game hoping for the new game...new game comes out they love it for a few months then cry and complain again and then say you know what the old game wasn't that bad. Rinse repeat

The various fighting games all kinda feel the same to me now. They’re offense obsessed, with cheap, flashy, cinematic gimmicks, and even similar character designs. It seems like they’re all trying to be colorful anime fighters. Each respective franchise has seemingly lost its unique identity. We rarely see real innovation. I’m holding out hope that the new VF could buck these trends, and truly introduce some novel concepts(dynamic blocking is a good start). Make defense as interesting to watch as offense. Hopefully that brief Nvidia gameplay concept delivers in the end.

Man i remembered when people said "OMG tekken 8 is gonna change everything" (people said the same thing for SF 6), and now we have " WTF this is the worst game possible, the last entry was WAYYYYYY BETTER (didnt played the last entry" it is really confusing for me since i recently bought tekken 8 and SF 6 im having a total blast playing those games, completely addicted to them, dont know what people are talking about 😅 maybe im just stupid 😭

I’d say it’s depending the person, I’ve seen folks who pick up on one better than the other it all depends on your game plan.
