This is actually classic Taylor production. She produces by the way or co-produces. She more often than not comes up with the melody before heading to the studio
It floors me that Kack Antanof has gotten so much hate for his work on this album, but nobody who knows music, could hate this album, it is SO well done. This song is by far my favorite.
I akso think its funny they give Jack so much crap when Taylor is listed as a producer too and we all know she's hands on with everything... So anything they get mad at Jack for she helped and approved it.
It’s only immature people that don’t get the album. It’s for older ears for sure.
I think you might be the one person who hasn’t heard Olivia Rodrigo’s Get Him Back. 😂. But I feel like Taylor had to have her version written before Olivia’s song came out in September 2023… Taylor was already with Travis by September. (And while I enjoyed Get Him Back and thought it was clever and fun writing… I feel like Taylor’s writing in imgonnagetyouback is a masterclass version of the same idea. Taylor has always toyed with double-meanings of phrases.)
Fiona Apple has a song with this same concept from back in the day - it’s great! And Olivia Rodrigo also has a hit with this concept as well. I love how all three artists have taken the same concept - a double meaning for getting someone back - and made something cool and different out of it.

The premise of the song was already done by Fiona Apple and Olivia Rodrigo
The only people that think the majority of the album is to Matty Healy are too young to understand most of the album.
This song is about Joe. Musically it probably is a nod to 1975, but the lyrics are about Joe.
There is a reference to Joe's bike in London Boy off the Lover album.
Nooe that was a scooter. The bike is about Matty. He wrote a song for Taylor about his bike and her mansion in fallingforyou.
@@suzannemaria5594 ...you don't write a song about getting back together with a guy after you've written a song like The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived though.
Also, I think she might have used bike instead of scooter for a US audience like she used bar instead of pub in the lyrics for the Black Dog.
