This was the time of sweet & innocent Michael with his brothers. You could see his great talent & charisma even at this young age. The Jackson 5 had a lot of hits in the 60's-70's such as "ABC", "Never Can Say Goodbye", "Rockin' Robin", "The Love You Save", "I'll Be There", "Mama's Pearl", "Sugar Daddy" etc. Michael Jackson's solo career started in the 70's with the songs "Got To Be There" & "Ben".
Most of the stuff you said was true,but the Jackson 5 signed with Motown in 1969 so they didn't have any hits in the 60s in the 70s all those hits you named came The Jackson 5 first four singles hit number one on the pop charts I want you back was the first

Michael Jackson is my age, this is 1969 so he was 10 y ears old. Grew up with their early music, motown and all kinds of great music. I was lucky enough to see them in Houston, Tx when they got back together for their final concert tour. He was so very cute when he was young.
Ed Sullivan welcomed newcomers and well known singers. Artists stepped up from there.

I was stopped in a airport in KC, MO...probably 2 yrs b4 Michael passed.. they said Michael Jackson.. I was like.. can you not read.. it's Michelle.. and at the time.. I had a great tan going on.. I said.. well .. first off. I'm darker than Michael.. cause at the time.. I was .. no disrespect.. I love me some Michael.. just a funny story.. I truly have in my heart... Elvis the King of Rock and Michael the King of Pop.. no one can touch either one of them with talent. My humble opinion.

The greatest of all time. He was eleven when he sung this. Like you said, Ed had everyone on his show, from Elvis to the Beatles, but he stuttered when he saw Mike and his brothers..he didn't know what to think of them lol

Loved the Jackson 5. They had so much soul & funk. I never liked any of the later solo stuff from any of the family including Michael, half as much as the Jackson 5 stuff. I quit buying their records when they started doing solo careers. Truly.

The only child entertainer that I think comes close to Michael is Frankie Lymon who was a generation behind. Nevertheless, he was also an excellent performer.

I think it was Marlon who is just a little older than Michael. The original group was Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael.
Randy didn’t join until Jermaine got married and left the group.😊
