- Really excited for this DIY project - turning "free" cosmetic bags into luxury designer purses! Chanel and Christian Dior handbags cost $$$$$, but thanks to their limited edition holiday gift sets, I can indulge in a little high end fashion on a budget. Converting the makeup bags into shoulder and crossbody purses was relatively easy with a few tools and supplies.
I'm certainly not the first person to try this cheap hack, but hopefully this video can give you some inspiration. Thanks to @AHeatedMess and @AmberAshleigh35 for sparking my own creativity and providing endless hours of entertainment!

You might want to use a small short chain for a wristlet style on the CD bag? So it doesn’t flip.

I tried this with different D-rings and the bag flips over backwards. Are these steady D-rings and prevent that? Or do you know of any steady D-rings to help prevent that? Thanks!

It can if it's empty, but if you have things in it, it's not much of an issue.
