People keep saying it's a normal drop for the holidays, but imo in this type of game with so many flaws it's dangerous to let people go without logging in for too long because you just notice the grass is greener somewhere else. Huge part of those players that took time off won't be coming back
I am afraid he is right I will go to France in week for 10 days skiing in alps and I am not sure if I will log back into game for different reason than say hello to my guild friends ...

This game NEVER should have allowed a 4 guild alliance. Turns any PvP from a skilled fight to just whoever brings the most ppl win. Just makes the game boring for anyone who is not looking to join a Zerg guild which will eventually lead to the game dying
I love the game but at this point there's nothing to do. I'm logging in to just look around. I am maxed out on dimensional dungeon coins both tiers etc, and I don't care to do them because there's no point. What's the purpose. PvP? Ok, you can do that regardless.

Funny enough top guilds have ditched bow staff for the cringe comp bow wand spear sns, it may not seem like it has the dps capability but it does and it's insane, it's kinda being gatekept rn but when more guild catch on you will hate this comp.
They do need to merge servers, but they’ve gotta put some serious thought behind it. You could really fuck up the ecosystem for PvP, small guilds actually have better chances at progressing on smaller servers. If my guild was thrown into a high pop server we’d be miserable without more folks. Which, on that vein, we’re trying to recruit but it’s also hard with it being a small server of course. My thought with getting a softer blow on a server merge is to give more advisor slots in a guild. This may not make straightforward sense, but I know that I have a lot of hesitance to give up my advisor position if we did a guild merge. Merging servers puts pressure on small guilds to be competitive, which makes it even more tempting to join the main alliance. Diversity=better server health. Ideally though, what I’d love is a way to declare friendly guilds besides being in an alliance. You could do that for castle siege only if you wanted, or something of the sort. TBH idk what I’d do specifically, but the system needs to change. Server merges do decrease the problems of transfer guilds coming in to eat the other guilds and sit on the throne unchallenged… But if they don’t crack down on things like block scripters it’s going to get messy quickly and more people will leave. The game is very toxic and hard to introduce people to without airing dirty laundry. I love it and want it to succeed. Whoops that was a ramble but I hope most of it makes sense at least 😂 Edit: also another thought, they need to increase the number of portals in smaller servers. Seems like it would make the high guilds even higher, but they’re already getting 90% of the arch boss loot. One portal sucks for the rest of us. My guild got arch boss loot back when we had 3 portals up and we weren’t nearly as powerful as we are now in terms of our individual builds…
People are not dumb ... Dungeons and PvE content is really poorly design. It is not intuitive and it is about UA-cam tutorials and study something instead of playing and enjoying learning process with friends is just boring ...
Most frustrating part of the game are your teammates in dungeons. I think after doing a dungeon for 10-20 times you have to run them blindfold. If not you are the problem. And thats a reason to quit for me. Imagine beeiing 2-3hrs in the same dungeon and failing the same mechs. it makes 0 sense to me. You can call this toxic, but im not the person wasting 3hrs for 1 simple thing that can be done in about 20-30min. in average. Change my mind.

Dunno what youre talking about... ember is full, absolutely full - every boss all portals red, if youre farming herbs while it rains you have 5-6 people who compete with you everywhere, if you go to any event (even low tier like wolf hunt or mica farm) there are a ton of people so you cant farm points efficiently... Which server is empty? Ill switch in a heartbeat

In fact, merging servers won't help, the game is like every other MMORPG on the market (which also already has fans) and to be successful, it should focus on something that can offer players something new. For example, having 2 weapons is already +-15 years old concept, and with this mmorpg there was an additional bonus that each combination of weapons received new atypical abilities. another thing is that in the game there is quite a bit of confusion about who holds which role because GS + anything can be a tank and SNS + anything can be a tank but they can also be dps. Therefore, I recommend: example role bonuses: tank : threat for all attack and healing abilities, +5% heal from party members heal : -5% CD for healing abilities used on party allies DPS: +5% damage if there is a tank and a healer in the party, but +8% damage if there is also a support role in the party support : +3 seconds for the duration of abilities that affect allies (party buff is +3 seconds for support players as well) Flash Wave nerf: reduce from 10 to 7-5 points with the fact that it would be Flash Wave (heal) would only heal but not do damage so that it could be used in a healer build (still) I would write more suggestions for improvement but I don't know where to write them, I also have a bunch of suggestions for new weapons and how to possibly make the game more attractive.
Flash wave doesn't need a nerf. It's like any skill, if you get hit by it alot you're going to die. If everyone started using meteor people would complain about that too. Work around it, that's what spears are for. 30m leap, fear, wipe. Any more nerfs bow will be useless as a dps which it has already suffered. Too many cry babies, I hate being cc'd from 100-0 by gs/dagger but I've amended my build around it.

Started on Mankipak which is dead (yesterday spent 2 hours sorting my old char and not a single post in any open chat), so moved to early access server Bellandir which has good population. Bellandir currently has what Mankipak had on release so its still very good.
700 to maybe 1000 max active players per server is all this game can really handle to stay fun with the limited bosses and capture points since we can only have 280 people per alliance and really can only have 2-3 alliances competing for the same stuff otherwise there isn't enough reward for the effort. The game is fun but if you're not in an active alliance you're missing out most of what this game offers. Having only 1 alliance game dies, having more than 4 alliance not enough reward for the time invested. Most people have tons of abyssal dungeon points but no contracts anymore for activity points so it limits how much time people dump into the dungeons outside of leveling up weapon mastery since it doesn't affect their ranking.
@@Varhoz Because it would make more logical sense for them to provide merges before a major gear patch. %95 of the player base is currently around the same gear score, so they will most likely open early access servers, and then drop the match content patch. We will most likely get merges and mastery system, and then T2 gear so we can all build it together, at the same time.

I was in the top guild on my server we wenr back and forth with the other top guild for number 1 that guild dissolved after rhe first siege pretty much alot of people from my guild left and made another guild i stopped playing at the christmas break logges on yesterday and its even more dead

Like that we can get different guys from different guilds and fight against only alliance on the server which just farming pvp bosses/arcbosses and saurodoma chests. It will allow small guilds to participate hardcore guilds content or oppose them at least. I am on LazyPeon side he did video 2 months ago after his TaL honeymoon phase over and he got 26 points and mechanics which he does not like ... With exception of enemy guilds nothing was solved.
It's cause the game is trash what kind of mmo doesn't reward you for nolifing. Can only run dungeons a set amount of times a day to twist your arm into swiping to bypass unlock stones and to get trait is an awful phone game mechanic brought over from the Asian servers

Yes, we do need a server merge. Tico or devs need to come and play console for a month to see how back the servers are. They won’t last a week of playing and will quit.
Aion: min 3 sieges per day Tl: 1 siege every two weeks... Aion: 30m to 1h+ dungeons with at least 5 bosses per dungeon (with drops) Tl: 15m dungeons with but a single boss... (unless the team is terrible, and you end up wasting an hour on it) Aion: dredgion, solo arena, party arena, ffa arena. (abyss rewards for pvp gear) Tl: boonstone, 3v3 arena (coins for terrible accessories) These and many, many, maaany other reasons led to this result. Lest we forget, both Lineage 2 and Aion were at the top with millions of players at their peak, and failed miserably because of NCsoft's terrible decision making. TL was nowhere near these numbers, and was a very bad game from the start. NCsoft never listened to it's players, and never will. I see a huge amount of suggestions on discond, and only some unimportant suggestions reach the company. Which means, that they do not wish to work on the game any further. They wanted to make a mobile cash grab, ported to PC. To make money fast, and then leave it to die. Aion 2 is going to be a mobile game. Not because mobile gaming brings more money. If that was the case. Then PC and console games would have died. Mobile games are just easy to make. They require a miniscule of pc/console game resources to be made, and it's easy to make another if it fails. But most importantly, mobile gamers eat whatever mediocrity is served to them, without much thought. So when you are failure of a company, who has destroyed some of the best MMO's ever to exist. Your best option is to turn to the most braindead type of gaming.
The developers said months ago that AION 2 is not a mobile game, it will be for PC and Console. It will be more based on PVE and exploration. In case you don't know, what made AION famous in the beginning was its difficult PVE. A dungeon like Steel Rake lasted 2 hours and we only got to Lahulahu and nobody else did it because of the time it took. And you got to level 45-50 with white armor pieces and having a blue or gold piece was almost unique.
Let it go People expected this game to die out in November. Once they have another big patch (example; lvl cap increase) people will come back for that time. They do this in xiv. When endwalkers dropped, we couldn't even log in there were so many people. When Dawn trail dropped, same thing but not as intense. There are so many games to play and people will not just stay with one game. Attention for people drops once they maxed out a character. They feel like they defeated the game but its only that patch they beat 😂 Again, let it go. Server merge or not, sometimes thats nit a good idea
Dimensional trials should reward the regular loot AND the runes for doing the extra mechanics. 2star dungeons should not drop blues. Alliances shouldn't exist. Credit cards shouldn't be allowed to rule like tyrants during siege. You take the throne, you sit out the next one. But Amazon got money hungry and let credit cards ruin the game
Well, server merges will come, no need to ask for, they will do it anyways. But...when you say "feel lonely" i respond "feel peace" haha. And I cannot say, that on my server there is too few people, still lots of people everywhere. In TL, hopefully, server merges will not end in a business model, like Archeage, where they merged servers, just to set up new servers again and make big money from destroying/stealing land from players initiating always a new "land rush". I just pray, that these publshers will never again have a chance to run a game.

@@nukenade4623 i think, at least for me and my experience, the issue is that this game was sold to us as a pvp oriented game, but the pvp is so heavily timegated and time specified, while also forcing us to do the boring pve gameplay loop (im in a hardcore pvp guild). So the lack of accessible pvp content (its just waiting for worldboss and siege, 20 minute boonstones kekw) + majority of the game being pve, is leading to player drop off.
Combat movement, grind etc... you can tell how bad the game is when streamers only have like 500 followers and their videos have like 100 likes vs other games whose streamers have 10,000 likes
It needs merge, but they have to remove alliances. That shit is bogus. Also, let us see wth is going on with guilds before I spend 750 lucent to change server. Bullshit.

Yesterday during Tevent conflict my group got hit by a Tornado followed by 4 flashwave in a row. I almost logged out

Dungeons are easy, the players are kinda -IQ. WoW and Final Fantasy Dungeons are much harder.

Yes dubble weapons skill spam is killing the game. There is no rpg feel to it.

They announced a server merge on december 29th... starting with 3 to see if it works out and then they will do more

Servers like Junath and others are dead. Thats why i switched to another like Basilisk and its so much more active

Yes, we do need a server merge. Tico or devs need to come and play console for a month to see how back the servers are. They won’t last a week of playing and will quit.
where to get hopium that players will come back in masse? i want that too, but... merge servers now and there will be enough space for update again.
Aion: min 3 sieges per day
Tl: 1 siege every two weeks...
Aion: 30m to 1h+ dungeons with at least 5 bosses per dungeon (with drops)
Tl: 15m dungeons with but a single boss... (unless the team is terrible, and you end up wasting an hour on it)
Aion: dredgion, solo arena, party arena, ffa arena. (abyss rewards for pvp gear)
Tl: boonstone, 3v3 arena (coins for terrible accessories)
These and many, many, maaany other reasons led to this result. Lest we forget, both Lineage 2 and Aion were at the top with millions of players at their peak, and failed miserably because of NCsoft's terrible decision making. TL was nowhere near these numbers, and was a very bad game from the start.
NCsoft never listened to it's players, and never will. I see a huge amount of suggestions on discond, and only some unimportant suggestions reach the company. Which means, that they do not wish to work on the game any further. They wanted to make a mobile cash grab, ported to PC. To make money fast, and then leave it to die.
Aion 2 is going to be a mobile game. Not because mobile gaming brings more money. If that was the case. Then PC and console games would have died. Mobile games are just easy to make. They require a miniscule of pc/console game resources to be made, and it's easy to make another if it fails. But most importantly, mobile gamers eat whatever mediocrity is served to them, without much thought. So when you are failure of a company, who has destroyed some of the best MMO's ever to exist. Your best option is to turn to the most braindead type of gaming.
The developers said months ago that AION 2 is not a mobile game, it will be for PC and Console. It will be more based on PVE and exploration. In case you don't know, what made AION famous in the beginning was its difficult PVE. A dungeon like Steel Rake lasted 2 hours and we only got to Lahulahu and nobody else did it because of the time it took. And you got to level 45-50 with white armor pieces and having a blue or gold piece was almost unique.

Once they have another big patch (example; lvl cap increase) people will come back for that time.
They do this in xiv. When endwalkers dropped, we couldn't even log in there were so many people. When Dawn trail dropped, same thing but not as intense.
There are so many games to play and people will not just stay with one game. Attention for people drops once they maxed out a character. They feel like they defeated the game but its only that patch they beat 😂

Dimensional trials should reward the regular loot AND the runes for doing the extra mechanics. 2star dungeons should not drop blues. Alliances shouldn't exist.
Credit cards shouldn't be allowed to rule like tyrants during siege. You take the throne, you sit out the next one. But Amazon got money hungry and let credit cards ruin the game
Let's not forget that tanks and healers don't get loot for shit so it impossible to que a party quickly unless your a tank since no one runa em

Well, server merges will come, no need to ask for, they will do it anyways. But...when you say "feel lonely" i respond "feel peace" haha. And I cannot say, that on my server there is too few people, still lots of people everywhere. In TL, hopefully, server merges will not end in a business model, like Archeage, where they merged servers, just to set up new servers again and make big money from destroying/stealing land from players initiating always a new "land rush". I just pray, that these publshers will never again have a chance to run a game.

@@Facetasmxo that happens in all MMOs especially ones with time commitments like this, but heres the thing you dont have to play this one at least for pve 7 days a week. you can play it once a week and still keep up
@@nukenade4623 i think, at least for me and my experience, the issue is that this game was sold to us as a pvp oriented game, but the pvp is so heavily timegated and time specified, while also forcing us to do the boring pve gameplay loop (im in a hardcore pvp guild).
So the lack of accessible pvp content (its just waiting for worldboss and siege, 20 minute boonstones kekw) + majority of the game being pve, is leading to player drop off.
Till they fix the Combat... lots of people will leave.
Combat movement, grind etc... you can tell how bad the game is when streamers only have like 500 followers and their videos have like 100 likes vs other games whose streamers have 10,000 likes
