- Today I will be reacting to a clip from inside the Las Vegas jail, it will show what could happen to some inmates that have a hard time fitting in to general population. This is a closer look into the notorious Protective custody cell block intended to help keep the inmate safer inside of jail.

Prison staff couldn't guard all the inmates ...if they were united. Ethnic groups and gangs fighting among themselves keep the staff safer since a united prison population totally outnumbers them. IMO

I'm . Veteren and in Florida they had a veterans dorm and they would put PC people on our dorm because they knew we don't politic and usually we never had fights or anything so it was safe for those who didn't fit in. But sometimes we had to put them on the door if it was to much

That's not true at all. I've seen cops lie under oath and plant evidence. Not saying anyone is innocent but to lump them all into the same category is just like any other stereotype. I also know a lot of people that did time just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You'd be surprised at how many cases would be dismissed if defendants wouldn't agree to a plea deal. I bet half of duis would be dropped but everyone pleads guilty

What’s good Death?!! Man I spent 6 months of my life in the Las Vegas county jail and never had a problem because I hung out with mostly only black guys so this is crazy to me cause I didn’t see any politics… The open bay dorms is the South Tower and the one with the cells is North Tower.. I been in both and the working modules on the 6th floor of the South Tower 6P and 6N… As always good work on the video man and keep it up 💯💪🏼

I got in two fights in 40 minutes in Davidson County jail in NC and was placed in a PC cell against my will. They didn't let me out of my cell for an entire week..TWICE while I was there. It was absolute hell and I was coming off of 125 mgs of methadone and 5 Xanax bars a day. On top of that my charges were dismissed
I am not a fighter at all. I've only been to jail a few times, and all but one time were all good. I even ran into friends that I hadn't seen in a while.
One night (the only time that I actually didn't commit a crime), I was brought in at like 2am.
Everybody told me to be quiet, and I snapped. This was a dorm setting.
Took on two dudes at once, and I hadn't been there but a few minutes.
I got my own personal cell after that. Lol.
I snore really loud, so it was probably best for everyone.

What a trip! So cool that after all these years watching your show it's finally come full circle and I've gotten to see both the prison I was at (SDCC) and the jail (CCDC). You had this jail on not too long ago but what really gets to me is how now you have footage of the floor I was on, although I was in 9D (nine-David), cell 1. The coolest thing about both cell one and the replica directly above it is that those were the biggest cells in the pod. Still hurts a little when I remember the fireworks for New Year's Eve 2002 and watching them from those fucking windows.
Would be cool if you found the news article or anything at all about the skinhead that tried to escape that ninth floor in 2003. He had somehow weakened the window structure, kicked it out, and had a ton of bed sheets tied together to climb his way down. He had his girlfriend waiting for him below. I believe though he didn't have enough to get all the way down and so he got caught. He was in for murder I believe, Joseph Antonetti aka Coolie. Man, I was somewhere else in the jail when that went down and I just remember the whole jail got locked down for two weeks out of the blue. Man, I read a lot of books in those days!
@@joelglanton6531 I looked into it, this is from a Las Vegas Sun article I found from April 2005 titled "Women who aided in escape attempts choose prison time." Unbelievable that these two tried to help their boyfriends escape on two different occasions (2003 and 2005). I hope they got their shit together since then because they got nothing but love from the system, all things considered.

Two women who were given probation for helping their boyfriends escape from jail in 2003 opted this morning to serve 12 to 30 months in prison in exchange for no new charges being filed against them for trying to help the same men escape from prison in February.
Chief Deputy Attorney General Gerald Gardner said Danielle Tito and Michelle Garoian agreed to not contest the revocation of their probation so that they can avoid facing new charges for assisting their respective boyfriends Jack McLaughlin and Joseph Antonetti in an escape plan for the second time in two years.
District Judge Lee Gates accepted the terms of the negotiation this morning and sentenced Tito and Garoian to 12 to 30 months in prison. Gates could have sentenced them to as much as four to 10 years in prison.
Tito and Garoian pleaded guilty to one count each of aiding a prisoner in attempt to escape for trying to help McLaughlin and Antonetti escape from the Clark County Detention Center in September 2003.
In that case, Gates had issued each a suspended sentence of four to 10 years in prison and placed them on probation.
As a condition of probation neither were to have any contact with McLaughlin or Antonetti, which they both violated by allegedly helping the men escape from prison while being transported from High Desert State Prison on Feb. 16.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc DiGiacomo has said McLaughlin and Antonetti's plan was to slip out of their shackles and jump the guards as they were let out of the High Desert State Prison prisoner transport van upon arriving at the prisoner entrance at Bridger and Casino on Feb. 16.
Through letter and phone calls to Tito and Garoian a getaway driver named simply as Tara was to be standing by with fake identification for the pair and be ready to drive McLaughlin and Antonetti away to freedom.
Although both inmates succeeded in getting out of their cuffs, the driver stopped at the Clark County Detention Center instead, and McLaughlin and Antonetti decided to put their cuffs back on and try the plan out at a future date.
The escape plan may have never been discovered if not for an inmate who was riding down from High Desert with McLaughlin and Antonetti, according to prosecutors.
That inmate later informed authorities who then through confiscating mail and telephone records discovered the plan had been discussed by McLaughlin, Antonetti, Tito and Garoian.
Gardner said he is currently waiting on a completed investigation report before decided whether or not McLaughlin and Antonetti will face attempted escape charges.
On Sept. 17, 2003 McLaughlin and Antonetti with help of two other inmates, John Knecht and Charles Smith, at the jail broke the glass out of Knecht's ninth floor cell window and lowered a makeshift rope made out of sheets nine stories to the ground.
There Garoian and Tito attached hacksaw blades, gloves and rope to the sheet. The inmates then lifted the tools back to the cell where the hacksaw blades were used to cut through the metal bars in order to escape through the window.
DiGiacomo said jailhouse conversations between McLaughlin and Tito. helped authorities uncover McLaughlin and Antonetti's conspiracy to commit murder.
McLaughlin and Antonetti are charged in connection with that alleged conspiracy and area also charged with attempted escape and possession by a prisoner of tools to escape. They were on their way for a hearing on the conspiracy case when they were planning to escape last month.
Antonetti is already serving life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of Mary Amina, 20, the attempted murder of her boyfriend Danny Stewart, 30, and the attempted murder of his former roommate, 34-year-old Suzanne Smith.
McLaughlin is currently serving prison time for an attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon conviction.
He made a lot of noise, pushing chairs and what not . He was trying to get the officers involved because he truly didn’t want to fight .

I enjoyed this video. It brought back many things I haven’t thought about in a long time. I’ve never been in p c. I do remember seeing one guy in particular in my block that didn’t fit in and he was being bullied and extorted. I ended up taking him under my wing. That’s dangerous but I couldn’t watch it.

That’s also big No No getting to comfortable with another inmate that inmate can take everything from ya and not think twice about it just to be buddy buddy with ya. Not to mention the other friend the inmate has gets jealous etc. Regardless paying attention to just one inmate is big NoNo imo I’ve seen it happen to many times where that person gets played for a fool and they rob the other person, money on phone, commissary, etc
