My favorite thing is to see the “Halo” (aka Glory or Brocken Spectre) seen at approx. 3:25. I am reminded of how fortunate we are to have this freedom of flight when this happens. Beautiful conditions for a flight! Thanks for sharing!

Great video Mark, loving the cloud top flying. There's nothing nicer than breaking through the clouds and having clear blue sky above and skipping through the wispy tops. Keep the videos coming they are great 👍

Lovely. Good that you mention carb ice every video. Many never consider it. Such flat fields!! In Devon you’d be lucky to have anywhere less than 20 degrees off angle!! 😂
I only mention it now because it's bitten me more times that I would like! Yes it's very flat around Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

I really should try skydiving someday, but it seems like it's all over very quickly.
@ it’s around a 15 minute climb up to 15,000 altitude depending on the plane, then free fall is around 50 seconds. The sickly “what am I doing” feeling is ever present, then when you leave the plane door it is a world of freedom and excitement. Give it a go if you get the chance 👍👍

Flyable at 1pm! So jealous! Another weekend of no flying for me. Despite being Spring here, we're getting a lot of cold fronts come through, so even when there's a high pressure system, getting eddies from the last front and ripples from the approaching one (and of course, floppy wings and fronts don't mix) :( 12th October was the last time I was able to get up, so still haven't been able to test out the new 360 camera.
Oh man that sucks, I hope you get airborne soon! From October to March we can fly all day, but then today the sun rises at 07:47 and sets at 15:53! Got to make the most of it!

Another beautiful video. I really enjoy watching them. Would love to learn more about the icing issue on your Atom80 as I fly with that engine as well. At what altitude, humidity level and temperature does it become an issue?
It seems to vary but it seems to be above 10°C and with humidity greater than 90%. but has happened at temps above 20°C. Starting to become a problem for me.
@ How strange. I’ve flown in cold and high humidity weather as well but have not had any issues. These Atom80s are known for their reliability. One tiny drop of water or bits of deposits in the fuel system can cause a lot of trouble.
@@ParamotorBas it is strange, I've not had a single carb icing issue on my Moster which has 550 hours on it. 🤷♂

Wicked video Mark, I did a couple of mid afternoon flights during early November around Bruntingthorpe it was warmer as I went higher due to the inversion.
This time of year can be perfect for flying if you wrap up warm!
I love all your videos and this one above cloud is stunning! I regularly take my GoPro 9 with me in my SSDR flexwing, one day I might get round to doing some editing! Do you have issues with your GoPros in cold weather - mine often powers-off even if there is still charge in the battery - any suggestions?
I use external power and don't have any issues. I don't know if you can see from the videos, but I have a high-tech solution where I velcro the external battery to my helmet and plug it in to the gopro. I have never owned a 9, so not sure if it works, but on the GoPro 7 you must remove the internal battery or it will overheat and shut down. On my GoPro 11, I don't need to do this.
@@markallisonparamotor Thats useful to know, I fly with Safe Sky (excellent free app) on my phone and that flattens the battery so I have a separate power pack, I could plug that into the Gopro as well and see how that works. Keep up the excellent work!
