I was at this location two days ago. I was only able to ride around the fence but was still thrilled to be able to see these fine examples of american and foreign tanks.
There’s actually a pretty good amount of information online about this vehicle, Jadgtiger 331. It is actual battle damage on this vehicle. If you look carefully at the main armament, the gun, you can see that it is in a recoil position. When the German crew abandoned the vehicle, they remove the fluid from the recoil, compensator and fired the gun which disabled the cannon making it unusable.
I've have to do another visit since i'm such a dimwit with my camera skills I somehow didn't actually record everything even on my second try, LOL. and yes I am very happy they are now in a climate controlled building.
Tamiya doesn't make a 1/16 scale Jagdtiger but Trumpeter does! With full interior just like you wanted! Thanks Ian! One next to the Challenger is a AMX 30. This tour is incredible. So many references for future builds!!
6:00 Looks like a French AMX-30. Oh and the Russian "armoured car" is a BRDM-2. 48:43 they are the Stryker and then the Stryker MGS (Mobile Gun System). Lastly 49:00 is a M1 Tank Test Bed (TTB) Prototype. Unmanned turret with auto loader, 3 person crew in hull - just like Russian T-14 Amata, but much earlier (late 1980s).
Excellent video. FYI British tanks do not have kettles they have boiling vessels and are used for heating all sorts of consumables. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiling_vessel
This is a picture from Wikipedia, indicating (I think) what the Jagdtiger looked like in 2008. If it's the same tank (which seems really likely), then it has definitely suffered since. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagdtiger#/media/File:Jagdtiger_at_Aberdeen_proving_grounds_2008.jpg
Yes it was outdoors in the elements at Aberdeen rotting away for a long time, they are going to clean it up a bit now that it is indoors at it's new home.

Many thanks for uploading this!
Glad you enjoyed I will be going back for the next open house if possible and will be even better equipped to film some more content there.
This is so cool... Great tour mate !! 👌
Thanks bud, if you follow their facebook page it will keep you up to date on future open house dates if you fancy a 16 hour long air flight.
wow Ian that was quick but very good keep them coming buddy
Thanks bud, but that video was almost an hour long...how long should I have recorded for?
14:19 this is the M56 scorpion, its tank destroyer self propelled gun
gotcha, I really was not familiar with some of the vehicles, appreciate the info for myself and everyone else to know.

Hmmm Trumpeter makes some pretty nice kits, I may have to check it out! Thanks!
Sorry I missed you. I was there on Saturday. Absolutely fantastic display of armor vehicles.
Damn that's a shame, but it was a madhouse on Saturday, Sunday was so much less crowded. Glad you got to see everything.
@@PitstainHobbies Sunday definitely looked a whole lot less crowded. I should have gone then. 😁
@tigertanktoo I came to the same conclusion, it was practically deserted on Sunday.
Thank you for sharing, that tank next to the challenger was the AMX30
Thank you I just couldn't figure that one out.
@@PitstainHobbies its all good, i was just looking at buying the kit.

you know your tanks sir!
I want to basic training at Fort Benning Georgia for infantry back in my day.
Thank you for your service Fred!
Is the T54E1 in the parking lot?
possibly, it didnt have a tag on it that I saw.
We never called the M60A2 "starship".
Interesting to know, must be more of a modeler term and I think I have heard some other youtube tank reviewer call it that once or twice.

You're right I was just using a more casual term that my brain inserted.
