I swear I never heard this song again after riding the school bus for the last time im MN in 1991 but its one of those lost hits that stayed in my head for 30 years
That's my former 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 in the video. The video producers contacted me through my "for sale" ad in the L.A. Recycler magazine, asking if they could rent the car for use in a music video…$100/day…and I said "sure!" Got to spend the day on set at a junk yard in south L.A. Good times and good memories every time I watch this video. :)
We were given a cassette tape a couple days before our wedding 29 yrs. ago and ended up playing it at our wedding and we have it recorded on our wedding VHS video. After 29 yrs. of searching for the artist and title to the song (we always called it the Gracie Song), we finally came across this video ---- OMGoodness I cried, my husband was all smiles. All those memories of us being young, broke and especially in love, which is really the only thing that matters the most. Still in love and making him smile...Nick and Gracie est. 1992.
I was born in 1962 and turned 62 July 2024.ear buds in blasting that music and locked the world outside. The late 70s 80'S 90's were the best many great memories. No power window in any car I had in the 80'S. Still here September 2024!!!!
Sometimes music speaks what you feel inside. And sometimes one song can bring back so many memories. I was born 1962 and turned 62 July 2024.ear buds in blasting that music and locked the world outside. Great tunes. Still here 2024!!!!
Ive been listening to this since i was a child, love it so much. The true fact is life isn't about money, life is a collection of moments and in the end its who you spent those moments and memories with that truly make a life worth living.
The first time I heard this song was in 1979. I had recently been discharged from military service and was living and working in Tallahassee. I worked nights pumping gas. The station was out of Panama City. A damn good station, damn good song, even forty-three years later and finally. A damn good memory. Thank you for allowing me to share.
This song is powerful! I can recall having a discussion with a female who rich her parents were both successful in their professions and she got whatever she wanted growing up. She had left home when she graduated school and lives normally without all the lavish things she can easily get and I asked her why and she said that money doesn't make you happy.
She's exactly right. Growing up, I would have gave all our money to be happy. We were one of those families that looked really great- until you walked through the door...
I've been looking for this song for years. I could never remember enough of the lyrics to find it, but just now I managed to pick the right phrase and there it was. Finally!
Such a timeless song!!! I just heard this for the first time a few months back...I’m 38 and I feel like I’ve known this song my whole life!!! Love your music Billy and love listening to you on Gideon’s Army:) God Bless you and your precious family!!! Thanks for being a great Servent for our Amazing Precious father!!!
This man is in tune with the real world. Love you Billy. Heavens highest hill really got me through some times in my life. I had to put my best friend Scoob to sleep after a long sickness. I did It my self and She is buried on Heavens Highest Hill looking over a waterfall in Arizona. This song always makes me think of my pup and brings a tear to my eye. Really love Power Windows.
Also here from Pat. This is a new one for me. Peeyower Winedows. He's giving Charlie a hard time for having power breaks in 1991 while his family disintegrates. I've watched it 7 times now, working on getting beyond the first Louis verse. I'll make it. Showed my wife, she refuses to believe it's not parody. No man named Charlie ever owned two identical Benzes and had only Benz friends. It beats Ratt 'Round & Round' for best guitar/worst vocals. Thought there was no worse talent mismatch than Pearcy/DiMartini. Turns out it's Falcon vocals/Falcon ripping off JCM riff.
The first time this song was in 1979. I had just been discharged from the air force and was living in Tallahassee. I worked at a gas station, where we, believe it or not, actually pumped the gas. I was listening to a station out of Pensacola. I remember thinking, "Wow! What a great song!" Now here it is forty-three years later and it's still a great song.
I have LOVED this song ever since it was released my senior year of college. A few years later when I had my first child, I named her "Grace" - a name I had loved since childhood in the 70s. Who knew it would become such a "popular" name a few years later? :P Oh, well. Still love this song. Always have and always will. A beautiful testimony to the power of love. :)
I remember this song made a real impression on me because my father was a lot like Charlie. He had lots of money, big house with a swimming pool and nice cars. But in the early 90s when this song came out my mom and dad had just got divorced and both my sister and myself were getting out of school and preparing to leave home and go into the world. I worried about how my father was going to be all alone in that big house just like Charlie.
So true indeed. I remember this female I went to school with who was basically born with a silver spoon in her mouth. When she finished school she left home and got with a guy who was average and her parents were upset with her about it. I spoke with her and asked her why did she give up the lifestyle she grew up in not needing or wanting for anything and to give all that up for what she has now, she told me that money doesn’t make you happy.
This song says SO VERY MUCH! :) I remember it well... :) And how it fits today, so many years alter. Amazing. the Power of Love, stronger than any dollar could ever be.
Remember this song on the radio a lot when I was in high school. Heard it the other day and looked it up and the song is indeed true. Money doesn’t buy love or happiness and this song makes you realize not to take the little things in life for granite.
Fact: that's my old 1969 Dodge Dart 340 Swinger in this video. I bought the car from a woman in Harbor City, CA and it was in 99% original condition (matching numbers), but rough and a little rusty. I owned it for about a year before putting it up for sale. The video producers saw the ad and called me, asking if they could rent the car for a day for a video shoot for this guy named Billy Falcon and I said "sure!". We spent the day on-location. :-) I sold the car a couple weeks later. Good times.
I'd forgotten about this song. Heard it play at an intermission at a 90s Seattle show last night. Fell in love with it all over again. Such an amazing song!!
The only way to see Billy Falcon is live. He puts on quite the show I used to work in a place called the Right Track Inn and he was a semi-regular. It was always an event when he played. As for the haters, Cher, Manfred Mann have record his songs and he has co-written a few Bon Jovi albums. I am glad he got a top 40 hit with this song.
This is the first time I hear this song since it was out in what I believed was 1990 and have always remembered this song and recently began singing the chorus. My girlfriend said she doesn't remember it and I want her to listen to it. I recall Billy being a protege of Jon Bon Jovi and listening to Jon introduce Billy and his song on Z100 in NYC. Love it.
Isaiah 54-17 God's word to his people who believe .. [17] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD... JESUS Amen.
You have to check out Heaven's highest hills..... He wrote for his wife....and then the follow up song is When....very touching....if u want to audition use heavens highest hills with the back story.....check the video he recorded live at The Bitter End.....awesome, you won't regret it 😊
I only remembered this song existed a few days ago. Loved it. Never seen the video before. In my mind Gracie and her mind should have been a bit overweight, not so attractive and that Dodge Dart should have looked like it needed a paint job and a tune up, cuz that's the imagine I always saw and it made me smile to think of them as happy. Anyway, still a great song.
I swear I never heard this song again after riding the school bus for the last time im MN in 1991 but its one of those lost hits that stayed in my head for 30 years
It stays with ya right!!! Awesome song !! Timeless🤝
those are the moments, when you find these treasures again...that can make your day so much sweeter
I heard this gem in 91 in the 69 dart swinger i just bought off an old lady for 300$ .. i was 20 and i loved that car till i crashed it up .....
Chetek WI
Even more so,when mum swore the "virgin" Mary figurine is what kept the 84 Nissan Sunny/Sentra on the road when this song was new.
Yee Haw by Golly I never thought I'd ever hear this song again. We used to play this song all the time. Thanks UA-cam
What an absolutely magnificent piece of music! Thank you Billy Falcon!
The album was produced by Jon Bon Jovi. Definitely sounds like an influence. Loved this tune when I first heard it, early 90s. Great song.
Magnificent song, lyrics, message 🙏❤️ Thank you Billy

A simple song with a HUGE message. I could never understand why it didn't go bigger. Maybe a comeback some 22 years later? I really love it!!
Musically and lyrically a great song, not so great vocals......
Maybe 32?
Lol, love how he exaggerates the word "power"! Takes me back, man...80s/early 90s were the best!!!
LOL damn right my friend. 👍😁

Wow you heard it 12 years before the release date
Still a brilliant song in 2021 🙌🏽

Same! I kinda had the gist in my head but I've been carrying the song around in my soul for 30 years.

This song is genius, its grace, we rejoice because of gods Grace ❤😊
I've totally forgotten all about this song, haven't heard it in nearly 25 years and it brings me back a lot of memories.
I play all the time just makes me feel like i need to feel .. :(
I love this song!! It is so true. You don't have anything if you don't have Love!
Exactly and Love is something money can’t buy.
There’s got to be a Hollywood love story in d works , that needs this song in its soundtrack. The world needs this song right now.
Billy what a rhythm you really are one of my favor singer ever love the 🎸 guitar ❤️💫
Used to sing this one all the time years ago when I was doing solo gigs. Cracking song!

He’s got the power of love ❤
Greatest fucking song ever written! Love it!
It's an emotional ride. Love Billy falcon
i prefer his "heavens highest hill" but this is still great
You’re a good man Dougie
I was going to offer some other options for "greatest song ever written," then decided you were right.
Billy Falcon is a cross between Tom Petty and Bon Jovi. Had this on blast in '91. This song will be 30 next year. Time passes by too fast.
sarahstacy81 must be why he is friends with Jon. In fact Jon has played on some of his songs.
Dunno, the guitar part sounds like Mellencamp wrote it.
Bon Jovi sucks
Wow 777 numbers well were has this been hiding Mr Billy!! Much love 💜🙏👀😳
Makes my day to hear this song good times just makes everything better 💕
@BillyFalcon utube just recommended this vid tonight! You're going even stronger in 20 21 Billy! God Bless💜🙌🙏

This song came out in 1991
Bro you’re thinking of “Jack and Diane” and it was 1981
I have LOVED this song ever since it was released my senior year of college. A few years later when I had my first child, I named her "Grace" - a name I had loved since childhood in the 70s. Best luv song ever
Came here from Pat, but honestly I'd rather listen to this and have a laugh than slog through Jack & Diane.
I love this song.
Powerful....love you

ICONIC Guitar 🎸 Notes 🎶
I dedicate this song to Steve Benz, a Chicago D.J. , He loves Zanies comedy club in St.Charles , Illinois!!!!!!!
-- "swears it's the statue of Mary, keeps the car from fallin' apart" --
One of my favs here for sure!!! Love when they crush the Benz!!! LMFAO
I remember being in elementary school when this song came out and just loving it ever since.
I tried to buy my happiness in a Mercedes, this song relates. The car will never love you back. You start to hate the car.
the song has a deep message a millionare can be the poorest man in the world if nobody loves or cares about him

A No. 35 Billboard hit in 1991.
Watching the current Billy Falcon, a true patriot and was reminded of this. I actually like his acoustic version better.
yea memmmber when the radio loved this song ..classic
Living in color
This is literally Jack & Diane dude lmao
Right! Sounds very similar and has kinda the same story line. Never even noticed that until you said that!!

I used to listen to this when I was really little on my mp3 player. Oh, the memories.
Till you see him look at Grace
I only remembered this song existed a few days ago. Loved it. Never seen the video before. In my mind Gracie and her mind should have been a bit overweight, not so attractive and that Dodge Dart should have looked like it needed a paint job and a tune up, cuz that's the imagine I always saw and it made me smile to think of them as happy. Anyway, still a great song.
