Thank you for showing that this is a learning process as we are all learning continually. Everything does not simply happen. I appreciate that you showed that it can be hard work. Worthwhile things can be hard. Regenerative agriculture on any scale is a goal to pursue.

Great topic! This is a tenet of permaculture. It aims for a closed system where nothing leaves so you don’t have to bring anything in. The goal is to become self-sustainable over time.

Good video. I am all about regenerative home gardens. No plant waste leaves my yard. Have a kitchen waste composter, a worm farm, make leaf mold, buried some larger logs in the bottom of a hugelkultur bed and have a chipper so every branch smaller than 3 inches gets chipped. Already chop and drop in the perennial beds and to a small degree in containers. Have become a bit of a fanatic. 🙂

Thank you for this! I have similar goals for our small urban veggie garden, so it will be great to follow along.
Also I was pleasantly surprised with your spot on Central Texas Gardener recently.

Great approach. When I want to chop up a lot of greens, I use an old heavy sharp-ish meat cleaver. Works faster than pruners.

Really great question! I’ve been planning a video follow up. They have grown like champs! Survived the summer to fruit again 👍🏼✨
