A very informative video. I feel the battery life on my 11 is the best I've ever had. I'm very anxious to receive my 12 to make a comparison. As a legally blind low vision user, I use Android accessibility suite all day everyday. To that end, my devices consume more power than the average user. Especially, since I am a busy professional that uses their device for much more than just average day-to-day activities.
You'll have to let us know what you think regarding the 12's battery life after using it for a couple weeks, if you don't mind?

This is incredible, honestly. If you got almost 9 hours on that heavy usage, I'll probably get 2 days of usage easily. I don't game on my phone, I don't edit videos, I rarely use the camera (and when I do it's for like 3 mins), GPS, 5G, NFC.. etc are always off. I have mine pre-ordered, we'll see.

@@clownclown4877 Ok, so, I don't have the phone anymore, unfortunately it had some QC problems and I'm waiting on a replacement. In the first 2-4 days I was getting 8h SOT + 1.5 days of standby. After that I started getting 10h SOT + 2 days of standby. The best I got was 12h SOT with almost 3 days of standby, but those days I stayed at home the whole time, on WiFi.
As for the camera, definitely the best I've ever used. My last phone was an S22 Ultra and my girlfriend has an iPhone 14 plus, and this phone beats both easily. The zoom camera is my favourite, photos on 3x feel like exactly what my eyes were seeing (but with a little zoom on top). The main and the ultra-wide are a bit too wide for my liking but they look amazing regardless. I went travelling in Lisbon and Porto with it and all the photos I took looked professional and life-like. I was very shocked. The only slightly weak point of the cameras is recording, where even my girlfriend's iPhone 14 plus beats it. Everything else is amazing.

Have a OP7 Pro, battery is starting to die after 4.5 Years and thinking about upgrading. Seriously considering getting the 12 since the price and battery looks to be the best on the market

@@aakaash2009 Yeah I'll probably do the same. I was really hoping they'd go back to the full screen display, but at this point I can accept that's not going to happen for a while. I got a good run out of my current phone, so I'm hoping that with the 12 I'll get a good few years out of it.
Plus, I don't want to shell out over $1000 at the moment for a new phone.

i still have s23u should i buy oneplus12 as spare? i really like the ir blaster i know theres a lot of midrange 400 to 650usd phones that has ir blaster but i wanted a phone with flagship specs with ir blaster. im looking at oppo x7 ultra aswell but its 1000usd. might aswell get the s24u if im going to spend over 1000usd.
Great video bro. It's so close Withe the Oneplus 12 and the S24 Ultra. The only things I see is Oneplus 12 needs to improve there cameras. The cameras have got better but need to me much much better. I hope Oneplus will keep pushing software to make the cameras even better.
Hopefully that will improve through updates because the hardware and optics seem like they're finally up to par but the processing is still just a little off
They are insane this year. Compared to the other phones on the market, they never did such an amazing job since the 7pro (that was the aboslute best of 2019 equal with the S10+ and P30pro)
S24 is better for zooming. And specially for zooming at night time. BUT the colors are better on the Oneplus (what is more important to me). For the other options they are as good. Of you look the best, watch thw Honor magic 6 pro, Vibo X100 pro or Oppo X7 ultra. Those are slightly above both S24 Ultra and OP12. But honestly they are all so amazing camera phones, it is difficult to part them.
@@nastystone2931 Funny the 7 Pro was the last Oneplus I had myself. I went to a Redmagic after that and then Pixels for 2 generations but I just got the OP12 and I have to say yeah it is a vast step up from the past several Onepluses. For the money there's nothing even close and it's still like a top 5 phone at any price.

Hey, my OnePlus 12 gives SoT of 5.5hrs 100% to 10% with gps off, 5g off. I'm currently working from home so you can imagine my light usage. Im trying to figure out if its calibration issue or a unit hardware issue. Can you suggest me a way to fix it?
Turn off 5g, I have mine always on 4g using s21 ultra
How is the cellular connectivity? That's going to be decider for me between OP 12 and S24U.

Hello. My new OP12 with 1 week makes 5 hours Sot. The graph it's like 45 degrees down at time I began my work day
I think something is wrong. No heavy use, just work.. WhatsApp, share screenshots, Chrome, some photos (no video), gps on, 120 refresh. WhatsApp backup overnight also drain a lot. But I think 5 hours Sot is inadmissible...should I hard reset? I came from S22 ultra with almost 2 years and I was expecting some great improvement but no. Even with 120 refresh , gps on, wifi on it should have a lot better battery life. I have CN version.

Am also using OnePlus 12. Not sure why it's says charging even after hitting 100%. It's not at all saying fully charged
I cannot think of any non-compact phones with lousy battery life anymore; we no longer use Samsung-made chips. Even Google has worked wonders on Tensor to get 7-8 hours of SOT over two days on Wi-Fi. I used it as a satnav and got 11+ hours!
The battery is not a metric we should worry about anymore. Compact phones are a different story, as they have smaller batteries. And Samsung's foldables have less mAh, which means lower SOT.
What makes the OP12 interesting is the price, being excellent value outside the pre-order deals. You get 95% of an S24U (not including the S-pen) for considerably less money.
I hope Op12 cameras get better after updates. Op11 updates were poor and made cameras less clear. Zooming is definitely better in op12 . Thats an upgrade.
One plus 12 or Pixel 8 Pro ?
How's the phone size overal? Is it comfortable in the pocket or weighs you down? 6.82 is bigger than the Samsung Ultra.
It's got a slightly smaller width and weights slightly less than the S24U. They'll be about the same feel in your pocket :)

Nobody is mentioning battery longevity, just as important as charging speed. To be fair we cant test this on this phone obviously but it should be noted all the same (assumptions csn be broadly made with this style of battery)

I just got a OnePlus 12 to replace my 3-year-old OnePlus 8T. The batteries were draining at the same exact rate, I bought the phone because my battery kept draining. I found out that the refresh rate on the new phone was set to 120 Hz and on the old phone it was set to 60 Hz. I changed the refresh rate on the new phone to 60 Hz and experience the huge improvement.
Set the screen refresh rate to Auto. This phone has a Fantastic battery life but you are missing the Amazing experience by using only 60hertz.. there is something wrong with your phone's battery if you are getting lower battery life. Just check with the service center.

I faced some issues in my op11 and its continued on op12 also. Sometimes i need to click 2 times on Icon to run the app. Screen doesn't respond immediately on 1st click. It happens randomly. Also the battery performance drops after 6 months. Only 6 hours of SOT time is acheived as more we use the phone the battery drain increases

I've had my OnePlus 12 for a week, 4/25, I've had zero heating issues outside of when I first opened it and was transferring data from my S23 Ultra. So, so far I am good. Love the experience, battery life...for now .

If you don't care about the s-pen, like I don't, then I would definitely go with the OP12 and save yourself some money. I prefer the software on the OP12 also vs Samsung's one UI but that is a matter of preference also.
Both have great battery life and both have awesome displays, you can't go wrong with either choice there. Both have good camera systems although the Samsung is going to be a little better in most people's opinion. Look at the differences like software, flat vs curved screen, s-pen, etc. and what your preferences are. For the best value, especially if you are not a camera fanatic, the OnePlus 12 is by far the better value in a flagship device.
I got 9 hours and 35 mins yesterday with the s24 ultra and thats still learning usage pattern and no software update (which always helps battery life with Samsung phone's)

I have received this phone, I have had realme gt neo 2..is smaller with smaller battery.. But it's more optimized in stand by..and even when using it wins over one plus.. That's my result. From my experience I'm not impressed. In reality maybe 6 hours screen on.. I hope that update will solve the issue.. Because om stand by it uses to much juice

Why is my battery draining so fast though even with battery saving mode? I have the OnePlus 12 and my Samsung S23 Ultra could last a whole day without charging but I have to charge the OnePlus 12 a couple of times.

you did not tell us the important information what performance mode you are using, the standard one reduces the phone's performance, the high performance mode only gives the full power of the processor, which also affects the batteries
Amazing battery life and best charging. I'm seriously thinking about getting this phone over the S24 ultra. Samsung stop following Apple for God's sake and get back to innovate
Samsung signed up for the standard charging of PD charging, so it is limited to around 30 watts max. They use 45 watts, which is meant for tablets, but cannot use that maxed out. Chinese OEMs use proprietary charging, which can confuse consumers, so that is why they include them in the box. PD charging is being tested for faster charging so we may see that eventually.

@@victorhugomatelicani3360 set the refresh rate to auto ... It's a LTPO display, forcing it to 120 hz all the time makes no sense...it will preserve the battery.

When I was using Zoom app for video conference and if i use some other app and keep zoom running in background with camera on as well the screen goes black again and again. I need to press the unlock button repeatedly. That is really annoying. Also Netflix is not showing in picture in picture mode. If i want to minimise Netflix. It gets closed. It was proper in op11. Can you check this in your device?
With Battery Saver Mode, with ONLY 25 minutes of Screen Time, it went from 79 % to 72% just texting or scrolling around-nothing intense. Draining too fast?
Did another test from 80% to 23% with only 3H 34 min of Screen Time, what is going on?

I purchased my one plus 12 on the 30th of January and conducted a battery test and here are the results
Screen on time: 7hr 15minutes
Screen off time: 17hrs 32minutes

I feel 8 hours is poor performance for such a large battery!! Even s24ultra or the s24plus(Sd) with smaller battery than op12 will give atleast 10hrs easily. Op needs to utilise this much more. Well just my opinion would have definitely gone for this phone if it was a flat screen as its very hard to find a tempered glass for curved display.
It was closer to 9 hours. I also could have pushed it to 10 hours with different usage. Did A LOT of gaming and 4K Video recording in this video which the average person won't be doing as much of. This could have easily gone longer👍
