maybe you can mix some of gooey’s wet food on top of the food you made to help her associate it with her food and not human food? gooey is so well behaved meanwhile my cats think all human food is theirs and will literally paw it out of my hands to eat
Hello, you inspired me to do ginger bug/beer again. The ginger beer turned out great. How do you maintain and keep your ginger bug so active and healthy? I tried doing a lemonade recipe and no carbonation occurred.

Geoje-do's breathtakingly beautiful in places, far more homey yet modern than here (similar to visiting relatives in northern Japan) -- and I'm writing from a neighbor island in Hawai'i. We don't have 4 seasons here, and whilst I don't crave freezing temps... there's no denying genuine winters make for a landscape the other 3 seasons you just can't get in tropics. Plus SK's stricter society allow more nice things than homeless-infested-here in America. Please continue to post in your clean, scenic, and now Gooey-centric way... and I look forward to more Johnny/Gooey vs. Lactobacillus adventures 🫶 🇰🇷
Something that works with my cats is adding a little of the new food to the old and gradually increase over a few days until it’s just new. Also Jackson Galaxy does a great break down of wet cat food if u wanted to know more about what’s in it etc 😊
Make sure you add Taurine (spelling) to the cat food. It is an essential nutrient that cats need to survive and thrive. You need to be careful about it.

for gooey's food, you may need to get some powdered taurine and add that into the food - manufactured cat food has taurine in it, because taurine is something that cats really thrive on and it helps their tendon elasticity.
there is a probiotic supplement for cats called Fortiflora that helps entice cats to eat a new food. There is an expiration date on it but thats just for the probiotic portion of the supplement. The part that entices cats to eat is still effective and safe after the expiration date. But also do your research, don't just listen to some random stranger on the internet

Aah ferments, the way to a girls heart. Waiting for my garden to get back into fermenting. My hubby's Swiss Aunty taught me her Sauerkraut recipe and i live it but can't handle too much. I want to grow Chinese cabbage or wombok is what we call it here and make kimchi. I've also made Kombutcha before but killed my skoby in my move out to the country.
Unless you are feeding Gooey this food as a treat or on an occasional basis, maybe you might want to check with your vet what nutrients this might lack that Gooey needs. Cats are actually obligate carnivores and can't really digest fibre or carbs.
