So far, of all the foundations you've reviewed lately, the one from Nars is my fave. Have you decided what foundation you will wear on your wedding day?
Nikkia, try NOT setting with powder. (I KNOW I KNOW, as a fellow oily skin person it sounds crazy) BUT, one day I said I'm over trying to be matte and used all cream products and didn't use any powders at all. What I found is my skin was over producing oils when I powder so while I still get shiny I don't get oily like I used to. I know everyone's skin is different but it completely changed my makeup game. My favorite foundations are the WnW tinted hydrator and the new KVD good apple (without powder).
@@kathleencaroline8032 it was so shocking! Went against everything I was taught on YT for being oily (only wear matte products and powder everything). I am thinking of starting a YT channel for oily dehydrated skin with some of these "techniques." I hope she tries it. If it doesn't work, that's ok. But it definitely made a difference for me. Been wearing the KVD good apple for 10 hours today, all creams, and I have a glowy healthy base without looking cakey or super oily. I couldn't resist telling Nikkia about my experience 😊 but again I understand everyone's skin is different
When we dry out our skin, we tell it to produce more oil. I was always super oily until I started putting squalane oil on my skin every night. Now my skin is normal, with no oiliness and no dryness no matter what I use, and it's remained that way for almost 5 years, with using just a few drops of squalane oil in my moisturizer every night. That's why most dermatologists tell oily patients to start using facial oils.
@@betsybabf748 what kind of oil do you use bc I use facial oil at night too and still get a little oily but using dewy products/makeup helps for makeup for sure
The HA in the formula maybe why it was a total fail, I just found out it's not that good for you're skin, it actually makes my oil skin go crazy, today I watched a video by dermatologist Dr. Sheerene Idriss explained why and now I get it. Love you and you're reviews always ❤️
I don’t think the product has too much of HA to affect the formula of the foundation that much. I’ve watched Dr. Sheerene Idriss’s video, but to be honest HA has helped me the most for my dry skin, but it also mattered what formulation it was. So, idk what to take from her video 🤷🏼♀️ I guess it depends on every skin.
I also tried this foundation on my Mature, Combo skin. I wanted to love it because of the reviews but it sat on my face and settled into fine lines. Like you stated, sat on top of the skin and didn't sink in. I fell in love with the Estee Lauder Double Wear because of your review. Next foundation I really want to try is the NARS!

I've been really enjoying your vlogs and now correlating it to your makeup reviews. I feel like I'm watching a friend giving me her honest opinion. Love you and where you are going with your channel because it's so honest and true like a warm cup of tea 😉
I have mixed with my Estee Lauder long wear and it is great!!! Not too dry, not too shiny, the perfect mix! Give it a try. I am extremely oily, and it was successful.
This is my first time hearing about this foundation. I must be living under a rock🤷🏻♀️ Lol After applying when you zoomed in real close, I could tell exactly what you meant by it looking like it blended in. I have really dry skin so I’m wondering how this will work for me.
I felt the same way that it turned Cakey!!! I kept thinking I was applying it wrong because everybody loved it. Good to know it doesn’t work for everyone and not just me!
