Many thanks, I've been looking for "writer job listings" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Jeyeyton Riyria Process - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my m8 got great results with it.
Andrew LaCivita this video is really great. I'm totally down to use this, but I have a question! I came to know about not being selected for the position on Saturday and I know that I'm good for that position, it's just that I'm so busy working outside that I don't get time to talk to the hiring committee that much so may be they don't know me that well, is it okay if I talk to them like face to face about it? Because I'm going to see them for two more months.
I did a similar thing to keep the door open after I’d gotten rejected three interviews in for a leadership position but they had said they loved me. Turns out the person they offered the job to couldn’t take it so two days later, the company asked me if I’d still be interested and offered me significantly more money than originally mentioned.
I would have told them "I'm sorry, but another opportunity has presented itself and I've decided to go with them at this time"...in other words I would have told them to "go jump!"...they gave you a "headache" so it's only fair to repay them with giving them a "migraine!"..
@@iamthegame09 Although it's true they chose someone else, this is not the case where her boyfriend cheated on her and now he wants her back. If she'd do what you just said, she wouldn't end up getting what she wanted in the first place, which is the actual job. She actually invested time and effort, passed three interviews and yes, the company didn't gave her the position first but they kept her in mind (also not like she waited a lifetime, it was two days!). Don't let your emotions take advantage of you. Turning 30 in two days, years don't come alone haha. All the best!
The most emails I have seen in my life - "We have decided to move forward with other candidates", don't give up.. every single interview is an experience. What's for you will come to you, all you gotta do is keep grinding and not be lazy.
That's me right now. Had 7 interviews, all were among the best in my life. Stellar feedback. Only on other candidate. Just got a generic rejection email. Feels awful.
rocky mountain lass same thing happened to me today and I feel discouraged. I was brought in for 2 separate interviews and the interview said I did really good. 3 days later I received a rejection email.

"I want to thank you both for considering me for ..." whatever the position was. Then give them a compliment. "I loved meeting you and your wonderful team. You can see how this team will be successful and so forth." It's just something to warm them up. Then what I would say is, here's where you want to reiterate why you're the best person for the role, "While I feel I would be a strong candidate and fit for the company and this position because ..." whatever the reason is, just insert why you feel you'd be the best person for the job, "I genuinely respect your opinion that you know what is best for your team and your organization." Then I would cap it off with, "If anything with this position changes or you feel I would be a suitable candidate for other roles in your company, I would be happy to come back for additional consideration. Thank you very much." Your name.
Can you tell me your opinion about this post rejection thank you note Email? Dear ( full name), I want to thank both you and Mrs. (Full name) for your time and for getting back to me about your hiring decision, I loved meeting you. While I'm disappointed to hear that I was not selected for the content moderator position, I greatly appreciate the opportunity to interview for the job and meet great people like you. While I feel I would be a strong candidate and fit for the company and this position because I am very patient, learn fast, work well with Computers, and don’t leave work incomplete, I would appreciate telling me what are the requirements you sat for this position that I didn't meet. I genuinely respect your opinion that you know what is best for your team and your organization. If anything with this position changes or you feel I would be a suitable candidate for other rules in your company, I would be happy to come back for additional consideration. @@andylacivita, I’ve been unemployed for a long time. Desperation and despair had long since set in. My wife left a month ago and life was falling apart around me. Oh the look of pride and admiration and gladness in my wife’s face when I told her!!!!!! I will take this opportunity and build a strong foundation upon it, and my family WILL be restored. And all the glory goes to Jehovah God who blesses those who trust in him. You, sir, are an instrument in His hands whether you realize it or not. THANK YOU!!!
This happened to me in July, great interview ..then rejected. Then today, the HR lady called me to offer me the position because the "better fit" quit 🤣 I respectfully declined.
If I havent found something better I would consider if they reach out with a job offer, if it is an offer to reapply , i will respectfully decline. My time is too valuable to go weeks through the interview process again and repeat myself like a broken record. A day more waiting is a day more without a job or without the better job i want to Move to.
Going out with class is the hardest part after a rejection. It takes a very strong individual to swallow their pride sometimes. But I love this and I will definitely use it in my next rejection. Thank you! 😊
I am truly a hardworking person, they just need to give me a chance. I miss going to work and i NEED to work. I keep getting job rejections and im starting to feel hopeless. I will keep trying because i need a job.
Although I never saw this video before, this type of reaction does work. I actually got rejected for a senior leadership role but sent a positive thank you letter to those involved in the hiring process similar to what was described here and lo and behold, I did get contacted a few months later asking if I was still interested since the current candidate they picked is not working out for them. Unfortunately, I already moved on and found a better job but was delighted to see that this method does work. Good video Andrew.
This gives me positive vibes that after they reject you somehow they will contact you and that just gives you the power: You let go of me ans that’s it!
I came across your video while searching on job rejection after I was extremely depressed for getting rejected after the last round...I heard you nd thought this may work in US but will never work in India.. nobody does that here...I don't y but your words played in me and finally wrote a nice mail on the lines of what u told...IT WORKED LIKE MAGIC...got a HR call inside 15 mins saying they would give a opportunity and reassess me...had I not heard you I would hv missed this opportunity...now I am not missing any of your videos.. thanks a ton
This happened to me. I interviewed really well. I kept hearing from people in the know that I was the best fit, but then I got the rejection. I asked for feedback and heard only great things. Three weeks later, the recruiter for that role reached out and said a similar role will be posted and the same hiring manager wanted me to apply. The recruiter let me know I didn't have to interview again since I just interviewed recently. I just needed to wait for the process to play out. I applied and waited. A month later, I got the job offer.
I wish I saw this video about an hour ago after getting my rejection email I did respond with something somewhat similar to what you said but I liked your response better. Why is it so so hard after being rejected I feel awful and I really had so much invested in getting this job. Anyway I appreciate your videos.
Keep in mind that some companies make fake job offers for competitiveness reasons. Other companies would prefer hiring someone who has relatives/friends already working there, even if you're more qualified.
I got so sick of interviews and them being completely pointless. When i got picked again in a pool of candidates I told them that I don't do interviews because they are pointless. You have my resume give me a shout if you need me. Guess what it worked.
I'm about to send this type of thank you, but PLOT TWIST! I figured out I was rejected before getting anything from the company because one of my old work buddies just reached out to thank me for all the help I provided during his job search. He then told me he accepted a job, shared the title and company, and sure enough it was the job. I'm thinking instead of reiterating that I think I'm the best person for the role, I'm going to affirm their choice because I fully agree. I actually learned a lot of my skills by watching him, and it was a huge compliment that I was in the top 3 finalists with him. Wanted to get a gut check from anyone who might see this...hopefully today :)
Incredible!! Tonight I'm in bed heartbroken about being recently rejected by my dream job which took 3 years of extra study and experience to get an interview. I'm drafting my letter tomorrow! Thank you so much for this
I did exactly this for a role I got rejected for and then got another interview for the same company for another role. Waiting for the outcome now, its a real smart way in dealing with a rejection.
3 phone interviews, in-person, "We really like you. We're very serious. Please hold off on other offers." They call me the other day and tell me it's between you and another candidate. Then the email...Thank you but unfortunately... Ugh Why even tell I'm the last 2? Just decide. Of course I'm thinking I should have gave them a final pitch. Did the other candidate ask for a lower salary? I skipped an interview because of how serious they were. My mistake. Also blew $ getting there. Out of town job...just venting. Frustrated.
@Ryan Sondalle Felt this. Got through all rounds they told me how much they liked me and how great i would be with the team and how much they loved my enthusiasm. Ive been trying to find a job for over a year and a half. They said i didnt have enough experience. I have had 4 internships but still not enough. How am i supposed to get experience if no one will give it to me?? Im heartbroken and so over this
Thank you for sharing this. Wrote the exact message, and the hiring manager wrote back within minutes. They said I was a strong candidate and they would highly recommend me for another opportunity within their department. Made me feel much better.
I landed on this as I remain unemployed for the consecutive 10 months after loosing my job and got rejected with several interviews. I can’t control my emotions at this point in time after watching this video. I will definitely change my strategies by applying knowledge earned from this. Thanks a million. ❤
I am currently a job seeker diagnosed with autism. I have been recently received interviews and I have been rejected for those positions after those interviews. I have sent them the follow ups after receiving those rejection letters in order to stand out. Statistics show that 85% of job seekers with autism are unemployed and those who are unemployed cannot move past the first interview due to their communication deficits compared to job seekers without autism. And some of them did not follow up after receiving their rejection emails because they feel that the interview process is brutal to them. This video is helpful for those seeking job opportunities with or without a disability and I appreciate your advice!
Thank you, This is gold for me. I got regected from a job I really wanted. Felt like crawling into the woodworks and never come out. I would keep this in mind. Keep up the good work.
I have done EXACTLY this in the past and it really helps open the door! I have gotten jobs after the fact all because of a follow up letter like this one.
I watched this video the week after my interview so I was prepared in case things didn't turn out well. Once I found out I was not selected, I sent the hiring manager an email wishing the successful candidate the best of luck and pledging to do what I could to support their mission in my current job (our companies work closely together, and I have followed through on that pledge). To my surprise, the hiring manager invited me to an informational interview and encouraged me to apply for other jobs in their firm. I was deeply appreciative and this gesture spoke volumes about their professionalism. I just got through a second-round interview for a different position. Hopefully we'll have luck with this one.
I sent the email and the hiring manager thanked me for my interest in his team and the position and told me to please keep in touch. I don’t feel that’s promising but it was nice that he responded.
I was turned down today for a job . I did all the hard work but due to lack of presentation I lost the job and this video was exactly the perk I needed. Thankyou sir !
This is amazing! I’ve been to a job interview for a leading position today. They said I had some amazing answers and that I was the future, but still didn’t got the job. At first I stayed positive, but when I got home, I was hit by the bad loser syndrome. I’m pumped again after watching this video. Time for action!
Amazing! I followed your advice and after 2 weeks after sending in my thank you email I got a call this morning to come in for a in person interview and meet the team. Now I need to prep for my in person interview. Thank you!
Andy, this is GOLD! I absolutely love your method for helping someone that has been rejected for a job. So classy! Your passion and enthusiasm for this industry makes me so proud to be part of this field.
Fantastic idea. I interviewed 2 weeks ago within the company I work for. No news on Monday means I probably didn't get the job. I'm expecting to be told tomorrow. 32 people applied, 12 got interviewed and I was one of the 12. I was feeling really irritated today, thinking I prepared for two weeks, over the past two years always took on extra work. I know what's coming. I may sound self defeating and that is not my intention, I know how the company works. I always accepted feedback well but this time I was about to let them have it. Until I watched your vid. Thanks for putting my emotions in check. I will type of that letter. You do have something good going here. Good luck to you.
This is an incredible idea! Not only does it feed a positive mindset, but it also teaches us to better handle rejection because most times it’s not an issue with us! And sometimes it’s hard not to believe that when job searching! Thank you for bringing us this content!
Hi Andrew. Just saw this video and the timing is just perfect. I received a rejection yesterday from a job I wasn't too keen about but in a company I really respect. So I just send an email to them following your guidelines and we'll see what happens. If nothing else, I love the idea about leaving a final, classy representation of myself to key people in my industry. Thank you for all your work!
This worked for me so beautifully for me! I got rejected on Monday, last week, after an interview the previous week. I was devastated and sent an email across immediately following your template. I heard back from the same company on Friday, the same week, saying that they want to extend the offer to me! I'm beyond my self! Thank you so much!
I felt this job in my packet, they interviewed me three times, I had all the signs that showed that they will chose me. 20 mins ago I've discovered that I got rejected. They wrote that they really liked me, but they have found someone else with native language knowledge (Russian) which is of course better than my C1 advanced. I was so devastated. It might be true that he knows more Russian word, but I'm sure he's not as classy as me with a letter like this. It's a nice feeling that it's not they who closed this conversation. And it can even happen that they will respond. Still, writing this email was so relaxing, much better than just sitting in an empty dark room and struggling with loser syndrome. I feel classy, thanks for your help!
I think this happened to me. I applied to a position, was rejected and about a year later got a call from the employer asking how my work situation was and she was going through some prior applications and found mine and wondered if I am still interested in the job, I already had a job at the time and was not looking so I declined.. but I'm wondering if what you are saying is right and that the candidate they chose over me didnt work out
This is great advice. It's not surprising that it's worked for multiple people - it really is a good way to leave an amazing impression and leave the door open for additional opportunity. I imagine there are many people benefiting from this advice. Thanks for sharing!
As a former recruiter, we often were not allowed access to the hiring managers and had to go through the HR rep at the company. So yes, if you as a candidate have access to more than one person at the company, it would be great to send emails to all of them.
Hello Andrew and hello everyone! I got the job after beeing turned down in the first place. I have to admit, I was very disappointed. To make it worse, I moved to a new country thinking I will get the job for wich I had 2 well gone interviews. Somehow I didn’t wanted to accept a no from a company I am completely identifying with its culture. So… I found your video while looking for a good advice for my case and sent a convincing email as you suggested. Today, after only 3 days I got the email, that I convinced them to be best fit for the company. My happiness has no end today! Thank you sooo much! 🙏🏽
Thank you! Just got a rejection letter from a position I thought would help start my career. This video made me smile. It was like a little pep talk from a friend. Thank you!
Hello Mr Andrew! I recently applied for a Job and I got through the initial screening and preliminary interview. However, in my Second Interview, I was not confident and blew it only to get a rejection mail later. I know that I could have done so much better and I wouldn’t be so disappointed in myself right now. How I wish I could be given a chance to prove my worth and how much I want the job.. A thank you mail really helps. Thank you so much for this video. 🙂
Thank you for sharing this Andy! This sounds like wonderful advice for those situations and companies, where you want to make a positive impression and keep the door open if something changes. And I've been on the hiring side where things did change, so I know it's true.
I can't believe this actually worked!! Yesterday I got rejected by a company, I sent them this email last night and today I got offered another position within the company! I don't know if this email is entirely responsible for it but I like to think it definitely helped! Thank you for the great advice!!
Hi Andrew! I just wanted to thank you for the great advice! Came here looking for tips how to deal with rejection from a job, and accidentally ended up here. Subscribed immediately after watching this video. This is a priceless content! I've just drafted and sent out the email. Although I feel hurt and upset, I love that it sounds so classy and positive, emphasising one's worth as a resilent and professional person. In the meanwhile, I received one more rejection from a company I've had a phone interview with... I feel all of you passing through similar situations. We are all worth it!
Thank you, Mr. Andrew for this amazing video.. Recently, I've got a rejection e-mail from one company that I really want to work at and I feel so broken.. Surprisingly, your explanation is totally relieves my anxiety and make me realize that I still got another chance... Once again thank you very much.. I appreciated it.. 😊😊😊
I basically said this on the phone just yesterday! I actually have 3 companies I have interviewed with looking for jobs for me. Great advice as always Andy!

I did the same thing today after I got my rejection call. This video now confirms I did the right thing. The company is huge so hoping for something similar to what you guys experienced!
Never even thought about doing this! I knew I wanted to send another or follow up thank you email to the rejection email I got but never knew I could spin it like this! Thanks for the great advice!
Andrew, I used similar wording, inspired by your video, and they invited me back to interview for another position that they hadn't even posted on their site yet. Thanks for all you do for your YT community!
Thank you so much Andrew! I tried this tip a few times to no avai. However, recently my girlfriend got her job offer rescinded due to some special circumstances. I told her to try this tip, and today the company called to tell her to start working tomorrow! It's her dream job as well, so she is ecstatic right now!
This is an absolute class act email to send. Although I'm still frustrated at how much time and energy I had to invest (4 different interviews via Zoom, Phone, and in-person) I know that this is the right thing to do.
I agree with this approach. You should always show that you are proud of your self and that you respect their position. It's not your goal to seem unsecure. Swallow it and continue.
Andy, I have been studying a lot of your videos recently and I had been out of job for over a year, this vid landed me the job AFTER I was rejected! HR emailed me the "sorry" msg, but they said I was great, but there was stiff competition 500 applicants for this 6figures sales job. I had a 2 minute pity party and then re-watched your vid. I immediately sent the hiring mgr & HR an email including a 30 sec VIDEO telling them all the stuff you said in the vid. 1 week later hiring mgr calls me to say they really want me and a formal offer is on the way to my email. THANKS, ANDY!
Mark!! Outstanding my friend! Huge congratulations to you and lots of luck on the new role. Also, thanks for letting me know this. It’s always nice for me to hear what’s happening as a result of these videos.
@@andylacivita Your other vids definitely helped me in the interview process to stand out, especially (but not limited to) the one on "why do you want to work here." Thanks again for so much great interviewing and resume content!
I personally feel so much resentment towards the hiring manager after a rejection so I usually don’t respond to it at all. Perhaps I should consider leaving them a nice mail thanking them. Just feels fake tho…
I just got done with a 7step interview process with 2 assessments got to the very end and just got this email. This was my dream job but I’m still proud of the fact that I was able to go through that whole process for such an amazing out of my league position and someone still convinced i could get it or something similar
Hello!! I did exactly what you did and the HR manager that initially advised me I won't be progressing further is now reconsidering my application for the role. We communicated 3-4 times via email and the last email was a positive response where she will share our conversation and relook at my application for the position. I did all of the above but I also showed them more about myself as an individual that thrives in a challenging situation. I only go this far when I know I will love this opportunity. And even if they come back with a no I can walk away knowing I gave it my 100% and I can continue my hunt for a new career. Thank you for reassuring me what I did was the correct approach
I just got an email from a well know company that interviewed me 3 times and waited for 2 weeks for their decision, that ended up in rejection, I decided to write an email as Andrew says as become of hope, is not easy being told that you still lack some experience on a certain area or something or that their better candidates than you, it makes you fill like trash and you will never find that company or person that will take a liking and give you that first opportunity, but I will never give up and will continue to find that job, even if I'm going to continue receiving 100 of rejection letters, I know that out there a company will be willing to help develop as a mechanical engineer and that will open the doors for me. Never give up man, no matter how hard and rough it seems out there.
Antonio, Sorry to hear but you've got the right attitude. Keep going, the right job for you is out there! For more help, check out my Job Interview Tips playlist. Good luck!
You are a Godsend...I also found your videos after being the 2nd choice for what I know was a perfect fit and with another where I wasn't chosen against an internal candidate. I have kept in touch with two hiring managers as I've had opportunities to share new info , like a new certification etc. But I love the action step of I'll be happy to come back to interview again or be considered for other positions as well as the "genuinely respect th e decision". It was this that was missing from my emails, ...thank you so much !
Literally just went through a month and 1/2 of interviewing. 4 separate interviews first with the recruiter, then the manager, then a panel and then a presentation all while continuously being moved on the next round and told I had “very positive feedback” after each round. Found out yesterday I didn’t get the job. Literally the most exhausted I’ve ever felt from applying for a job.
Thank you so much andy for this wonderful video!I've did all your advised and it really works! They have called me for re consideration to have another interview with them and hopefully i land the job..Thank you so much sir!
This Bootcamp is 110% worth it-- my only regret is not starting sooner! Andy, I hope you know how much hope you provide during this difficult process. I reached out to a former manager in a company I resigned from 9yrs ago and she said she'd hire me back in a heartbeat (but she's now out of state). She provided the name of the woman who manages my former territory (who I personally know but not as close) and agreed to 'talk me up,' That was last Thursday night and I haven't heard back from either person as of yet. I know there are many variables (I was there 10yrs and resigned after being on disability), but I automatically assume they're not open to having me back. I want to reach out to my former mgr tonight as a follow-up but need to be well prepared in case she says something like I don't think their hiring or whatnot. I know she speaks to the new mgr semi-reg so any highlights of my career would be refreshed. Thnx for suggested f/u template (found in the Bootcamp!). Fingers crossed...
Thank you so much Andy for this video about rejection. I received a rejection email today from a company and job I really like. The position was in Florida, as I am trying to move to Florida. I sent a thank you email to the hiring manager, the manager that interviewed me and the HR recruiter. My thank you email was not exactly your words, but something similar. I subscribed now to your channel, you have wonderful and thoughful ideas for my job search.
I just found this video today, but I responded similarly about a month ago to a position I was told I was overqualified for and that they wouldn't be able to compete with my last salary (which, unfortunately I had given them). I got a new message yesterday from them asking if I'm still looking for a job and again expressing their worry that essentially they can't afford me. I'm so glad I sent a message like this one. I've been watching your salary negotiation videos in preparation for their next response, and to help me craft my response about looking at "the entire value of working for your company", but I still don't even know what they're willing to pay. Waiting for that offer! Let's hope this 4 month unemployment is nearly over!
Hi Andy I worked on the skills they said I lacked, and then emailed them about my progress. It’s been 5 min that I’ve send the email, manifesting a positive response!! Wish me luck 😊
I’m currently waiting for a call back. They said September 9th would be the final day I could receive a call. It’s been a week since the interview and everyday my anxiety goes up.. Im glad I found this video, and maybe I could be reconsidered using this
I've interviewed with this company multiple times and got rejected again today. Time to give this a shot. Just wish I could tell them whatever the hell they want to hear..
I relate but I chose to except being rejected and move on. Don’t get me wrong as it’s easier said than done but I must remain humble and positive, and continue with my job search. Everything happens for a reason. The creator Almighty is in control.
Thank you very much Andy for sharing this video - I followed everything you said here and sent my thank you email within 24 hours of receiving the rejection. I don't know if they will keep me in view for the future but I definitely love the "stay classy" stance. Thanks Andy for all that you do!
@andrew lacivita that’s me today or tomorrow! I already know they selected someone else and was ready to reply. Thanks God I watched this video. I like that classy feeling.
Oh man I wish I'd seen this video much earlier, I literally replied to a rejection email with 'thank you for your quick response and constructive feedback, I wish you and the team, and the new candidate all the best' felt sincere. The reason they gave me was the other was more experienced than me in excel, even though I have the right qualifications for the role.
@@andylacivita I sent that letter exactly how you worded it, and I got a 'thumbs up' reply this morning from one of the recruiting managers that interviewed me 😊
I have got an interview today. Unfortunately, even my application was given close consideration it has been unsuccessful. Thank you very much, Andrew! I will send this email today.
Thank you Andrew! I love your classy script of handling rejections from future employers! Used it with some modifications and hope it can turn the game around.
I literally got offered a job, negotiated salary then they changed their minds but to me this is not a no! they even left it open ended as to connecting later down the road.

I did a similar thing to keep the door open after I’d gotten rejected three interviews in for a leadership position but they had said they loved me. Turns out the person they offered the job to couldn’t take it so two days later, the company asked me if I’d still be interested and offered me significantly more money than originally mentioned.
Great to hear Joanna. Congrats!!🎉🎊🎈
I would have told them "I'm sorry, but another opportunity has presented itself and I've decided to go with them at this time"...in other words I would have told them to "go jump!"...they gave you a "headache" so it's only fair to repay them with giving them a "migraine!"..

Then give them a compliment. "I loved meeting you and your wonderful team. You can see how this team will be successful and so forth." It's just something to warm them up. Then what I would say is, here's where you want to reiterate why you're the best person for the role, "While I feel I would be a strong candidate and fit for the company and this position because ..." whatever the reason
is, just insert why you feel you'd be the best person for the job, "I genuinely respect
your opinion that you know what is best for your team and your organization."
Then I would cap it off with, "If anything with this position changes or you feel I would be a suitable candidate for other roles in your company, I would be happy to come back for additional consideration.
Thank you very much."

Thanks!
Thank you 😊
Can you tell me your opinion about this post rejection thank you note Email?
Thank you very much.

Doesn’t work. Still rejects you in the end, so I don’t see the point in this
I get emails daily from people who tell me it worked for them. So, there’s that.
It worked!!! I tried it and it worked!!! I got the job!!!
Yeeeeessssss! Love to hear this and huge congratulations!!🎉🍾🎈🎊
Then today, the HR lady called me to offer me the position because the "better fit" quit 🤣
I respectfully declined.
Hahaha!!! The "better fit" quit 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice. Best of luck with all your future endeavors!
If I havent found something better I would consider if they reach out with a job offer, if it is an offer to reapply , i will respectfully decline. My time is too valuable to go weeks through the interview process again and repeat myself like a broken record. A day more waiting is a day more without a job or without the better job i want to
Move to.
Isn't that a red flag for the company?
Going out with class is the hardest part after a rejection. It takes a very strong individual to swallow their pride sometimes. But I love this and I will definitely use it in my next rejection. Thank you! 😊
I am truly a hardworking person, they just need to give me a chance. I miss going to work and i NEED to work. I keep getting job rejections and im starting to feel hopeless. I will keep trying because i need a job.
Hang in there. You got this Julia!
Thanks Steven. Good stuff!
Outstanding Rohitaswa!!! Good luck with the next steps!
did you get the job?
This is so graceful, It works. Having a great attitude at rejection allows people to wonder about what they're missing.
Well said Santrice!
I replied to a rejection email today with "Thank you for the interview opportunity" and left it at that.
Love it!!
Amazing🎉
I wish I saw this video about an hour ago after getting my rejection email I did respond with something somewhat similar to what you said but I liked your response better. Why is it so so hard after being rejected I feel awful and I really had so much invested in getting this job. Anyway I appreciate your videos.
Thanks Bella. At least you found it now. There are plenty more vids to help you get that great job!
BellaKurd I know this feeling too 😖😖
Keep in mind that some companies make fake job offers for competitiveness reasons. Other companies would prefer hiring someone who has relatives/friends already working there, even if you're more qualified.
I am so deflated after a month of interviews and rejections. Finding a job is hard. Getting rejected is worse.
Hang in there!!
Thank you so much for this
Go get ‘em!!! Good luck with it!!!
@@andylacivita thank you! Il be sure to share the outcome with you 😁
ART IN ONE would love that. Let me know!
A better opportunity is waiting for you out there. Don't be discouraged, you can do this!
well what happened?
I did exactly this for a role I got rejected for and then got another interview for the same company for another role. Waiting for the outcome now, its a real smart way in dealing with a rejection.
Good luck. Pulling for you!!
Frustrated.
Insomniac Boxing I feel you man! I’m going through similar things unemployment is a plague. I hope we both find jobs we like.
Wonderful to hear this Jessica!
This worked for me!! Thank you so much!! I sent the email and the HM told me he shared my resume for open roles in the future!
I landed on this as I remain unemployed for the consecutive 10 months after loosing my job and got rejected with several interviews. I can’t control my emotions at this point in time after watching this video. I will definitely change my strategies by applying knowledge earned from this. Thanks a million. ❤
You are welcome a million!
Did you ever get another job
@@vintagecologneman481 Yes I did, in Aug 2022.
Man I am extremely touched by your story. What's been up for you lately bro/sis?
Thank you, This is gold for me. I got regected from a job I really wanted. Felt like crawling into the woodworks and never come out. I would keep this in mind. Keep up the good work.
You’re welcome Naheed. Try this technique but more importantly you hang in there. Your dream job awaits!!
I have done EXACTLY this in the past and it really helps open the door! I have gotten jobs after the fact all because of a follow up letter like this one.
Sweet!
Andy, I just received a conditional job offer today. All of your videos helped tremendously to prepare and build my confidence. Thanks!
I sent the email and the hiring manager thanked me for my interest in his team and the position and told me to please keep in touch. I don’t feel that’s promising but it was nice that he responded.
Make sure to actually stay in touch with them!!
@@andylacivita I added him on LinkedIn and he accepted. Other than that I’m now sure what else to do.

You're so welcome!
Recently got rejected from a position at a doctors office I REALLY wanted. I wish UA-cam had a "❤" button because I love this advice! Thank you!!

This is amazing! I’ve been to a job interview for a leading position today. They said I had some amazing answers and that I was the future, but still didn’t got the job. At first I stayed positive, but when I got home, I was hit by the bad loser syndrome. I’m pumped again after watching this video.
Time for action!
Sorry to hear, but keep at it! Job searching and interviewing is tough! Glad you found the right video to craft your response. Good luck!
Amazing! I followed your advice and after 2 weeks after sending in my thank you email I got a call this morning to come in for a in person interview and meet the team. Now I need to prep for my in person interview. Thank you!
Fantastic! Best of luck!
Andy, this is GOLD! I absolutely love your method for helping someone that has been rejected for a job. So classy! Your passion and enthusiasm for this industry makes me so proud to be part of this field.
You are TOO kind. :)
Happy Dad good luck to you too Happy Dad!
This is an incredible idea! Not only does it feed a positive mindset, but it also teaches us to better handle rejection because most times it’s not an issue with us! And sometimes it’s hard not to believe that when job searching! Thank you for bringing us this content!
You're welcome. I'm so glad you like it Queen Coffee!
Charlotte Bossen Nielsen glad you liked it Charlotte!!
Did it work please?
This worked for me so beautifully for me! I got rejected on Monday, last week, after an interview the previous week. I was devastated and sent an email across immediately following your template. I heard back from the same company on Friday, the same week, saying that they want to extend the offer to me! I'm beyond my self! Thank you so much!
So nice to hear this!!
@@andylacivita thank you so very much!
You're so welcome! Keep at it and you'll land a job you'll love!
I've heard several times that the first candidate a company selected, was let go within 2 months. So many times the first hire doesn't work out.
Jill W. Fox so true!
I think this happened to me. I applied to a position, was rejected and about a year later got a call from the employer asking how my work situation was and she was going through some prior applications and found mine and wondered if I am still interested in the job, I already had a job at the time and was not looking so I declined.. but I'm wondering if what you are saying is right and that the candidate they chose over me didnt work out
That's fine if you were the second choice.
But what if you were three or four or five.
This is great advice. It's not surprising that it's worked for multiple people - it really is a good way to leave an amazing impression and leave the door open for additional opportunity. I imagine there are many people benefiting from this advice. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Adriana!!!
As a former recruiter, we often were not allowed access to the hiring managers and had to go through the HR rep at the company. So yes, if you as a candidate have access to more than one person at the company, it would be great to send emails to all of them.
Heather Gerhardt thanks Heather. Always appreciate your thoughts!!
This just happened to me. You saved me from freaking out and helped keep it classy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏🏼

Thank you! Just got a rejection letter from a position I thought would help start my career. This video made me smile. It was like a little pep talk from a friend. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
You’re so welcome!!
Absolutely love this and I'm sooooo happy for you !!!!!
Will definitely do this. I was very upset I wasn't chosen and I really clicked with the hr and the hiring manager!

Never even thought about doing this! I knew I wanted to send another or follow up thank you email to the rejection email I got but never knew I could spin it like this! Thanks for the great advice!
Olivia Roach that’s wonderful to hear Olivia. I’m always trying to give you nifty, unique tips!!!
Andrew, I used similar wording, inspired by your video, and they invited me back to interview for another position that they hadn't even posted on their site yet. Thanks for all you do for your YT community!
Great to hear. 👏Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful to hear for your friend Phong! For you, hang in there!
This is an absolute class act email to send. Although I'm still frustrated at how much time and energy I had to invest (4 different interviews via Zoom, Phone, and in-person) I know that this is the right thing to do.
Glad you enjoyed this!!
Thanks
Thank YOU so much for the super thanks. Very much appreciate you and glad you’re enjoying the content!
I just got done with a 7step interview process with 2 assessments got to the very end and just got this email. This was my dream job but I’m still proud of the fact that I was able to go through that whole process for such an amazing out of my league position and someone still convinced i could get it or something similar
Sorry to hear Mia but hang in there. It will happen for you!
Got to the final interview and didn’t get selected. Thanks for this video Andrew, keeping it classy.
Excellent outlook here! Even if this isn't the one, I know you'll be successful in life. I truly mean that!

Thanks Andrew.I feel much better after watching your video.
Great to hear!
You are sooooo welcome!
this is almost the same as getting rejected by a girl, you have to act and think positive, never deffensive and let her know you are a very good mate
Hang in there Kevin! I’m sure something better is just around the corner. Just don’t take your foot off the gas!

How was it?
You're so welcome Marie!! ❤️
This is GREAT to hear Brandi and thanks too for showing up to the live show today! My fingers are crossed for you!!!
Just got a message that they decided to put that job on hold instead. On to the next application!
