Tbt I always thought Dobby was stand off and arrogant…but he was shy etc…wow…listening to this what a great bloke, fantastic stories, what a memory he has. Great episode. Thanks all 👍👍
You may or may not consider this a compliment, but it is meant to be Dave. You are becoming the Tucker Carlson of Motocross/Supercross. Thoughtful, sincerely interested in those you interview, and able to abstract gold by meticulously mining through a racer's life. I see a lot of very creative ideas that interest us also. Keep it up! Also, it's appreciated when you keep the language clean (i.e., professional).
I did a job at the family home recently and was lucky enough to be invited in to see the works KTM on display with trophies and helmets etc surrounding it. It still looks pretty modern to be fair and I wish that I'd asked to get a pic of it but felt a bit cheeky and I was kind of starstruck anyway, being an ex-rider and fan of Jamie and other riders of this era. It was a great honour to meet the last British world MX champ and see his bike and after watching this vid, it was definitely well earned and overdue.
one of the nicest guys ive ever met, always had time for me when i followed him and the other Brits around the GP's and still always has a couple of minutes to talk if i ever see him at shows or races now, same with Naomi, lovely family.. so looking forward to sharing the track with both Jamie & Jeff at Farleigh Castle in August 😁
That was an awesome interview Ping ! James is an ultimate Man. He can own up to all the good and bad on his life and career. Much respect for him helping out with road to recovery in the UK.
Watching Malin chasing Dobby off the Big concrete finish line jump in 87-88 was the inspiration I needed to get to national championships in 90,Great times.
Raced against dobb and malin a few times around cumbria and at acu events back in early 80s in uk and they were both untouchable throughout the school boys both destined to world champions, great interview 👍
Thank you very much! I really would like to see Manneh, Liles, Parker, Moore, euro guys. And of course JMB or Tortelli. Like JD very mellow and likable guy!!!
I was there at Red Bud when he won the first moto, It was cool because he just smoked all the factory guys. I've been a fan of him from then on. Glad to see he is doing so well in life. Great show guys as always!!
I’m half way through and loving every minute what an eye opener, being a British fan I never really knew JD career in the states and exactly what he went through injuries ups and downs and what a really nice guy he is ...great interview thanks 🍀👍🙏🇺🇸
At 57:22, the place James is describing is where I currently live. The "park", as he says, is actually a huge field on the outskirts of Geneva, Switzerland. My house is literally standing where the pits were. I also won a 125cc amateur national there in 2000.
Dobby was brill and he was on fire during 1994 95 cos I seem to remember him back in the gps on his kx 250 and I thought he did well in the untied states, great interview 👏
Nice guy very humble and a great champion, with a big heart 🍀👍🙏
Fantastic guys!! Awesome insight into the minds and attitudes of pro motocross riders. You guys are warriors

Ping is one of the smartest guys in moto. Hands down.
We are trying! Thanks for the nice words… tell your friends. Tough time to start a new venture for sure.

I am scared of 450s today... I only would ride a 125 period.
Love the content. It’s like injury lists galore. A choppy interview. No flow but still love the show
