Just want to say thanks for all the work you put into this channel. I just got the chance to ride codriver in a desert truck for the fist time earlier this year. As part of my prep, I combed youtube trying to find anything I could. Your channel has consistently been good for showing racing as it really is. Dirty, exhausting, exhilarating, excruciating, and everything in between. You talk about things like bird strikes or pre running safety that nobody else really touches on. I can't thank you enough, those little nuggets really help teams like ours that doesn't have the luxury of extensive experience. Keep doing what your doing and I'll keep watching. If you ever feel like your running dry for content ideas, I would happily sit through videos on strategy/operations such as how you handle communications with what I assume is a fairly large team or how you and your codriver handle the information load of navigating at speed while still keeping an eye on vitals. My workload was intense and we weren't traveling nearly as fast as you guys are so any insights would make my month.
What a rollercoaster watching you start first then on the tracker see you clearly have an issue and just saw you sitting and sitting and sitting. After watching all yours and Bryces pre-run videos and all the work you both put in I was just so bummed for you. But what an awesome experience for you with qualifying and getting to team with someone you watched growing up. This is just the beginning of the journey and there are many awesome things to come.
We were trackside doing media work around mile 31. I got concerned when you did not come thru first or within the first few trucks. I was really bummed to learn that you had a breakdown take your team out after we got back to town later on. Smart decision to not continue and there is always the next race. I am really sorry that happened to you Bryce and your guys. Will be rooting for you next year. I hope you and Bryce can team up again. Will be rooting for you next year.
Nice job Christopher! What a complament having the Menzies asking you to drive with them. You handled the failer like a seasoned vet. I look forward to seeing your Parker video. Happy Holidays!
Chris you guys were the team to beat. The only thing is what did you learn to help the next time. Screw any naysayers you and Bryce are hard working . I still want to see you guys hook up it was like the dream, team damn dude ,you got pole position it was all coming together. Shit happens different day!
Dude you’re the man!!! We’re here routing for you 🏁 like always nice recap of everything about the race. You’ll get them next year 😎 , there’s plenty of races and you talent person. I’m from Tijuana, I live in Utah. See you in Baja 🤙
like we say in mexico ¨fierros son fierros¨ which could stand for STEEL REMAINS STEEL meaning that car parts could broke anytime anywhere no matter if they are new or so... good luck for the next one you definitely got this one but thats baja, we´ll be expecting you down here, greetings buddie!
At least you werent doin about 120 and she left turned on ya! The keyboard monkeys would have been saying chistopher ruined menzies truck .. Dude your are an excellent up and coming driver and when you are finished one day you will be recognized as just as talented as anyone who has ever run baja! You are my fav pal. I keep close eyes on your progress and wtf, you cant stop a broken steering box. Thats one of those parts past anyones control. Have a good winter and just wait till 25!
Not talking shit just makin fun. You are one of my favorite drivers. I believe it was 2001 laughlin leap broke my back hahaha. The truck just pancaked. First time as co driver didn't know shit. As a mechanic i should of went through the truck but it was also last minute for me. No testing or shake down. Anyone remember that??? I think we flew 70 feet😢
It would be really cool to see you come race the Snore Rage at the river race in Laughlin this year! I hope you and Bryce team up next year for the 1000, you guys would have my bet to pull off the win for sure! I bet you’ll have big success in 2025 season now that you’re getting dialed in with the 4wd Mason!
Bummer about the mechanical. But how did Bryce's suspension compare to your Live Valve suspension. What where other differences between the trucks? Better luck next season.
1 year away from my first and only baja1000 experience and been following you ever since. I enjoy your videos and the commentary. My question, and I didn't see it answered in any other videos was how did the ask to race with Bryce come about? Did you get a text? phone call? did you jump at the offer or take a let me think about it attitude ?
@@ChristopherPolvoorde Amazing!! Happy for you man. I didn't know you were racing with him until I checked the score tracker and saw you in the redbull. I was like WTF?!? I figured right away you were teamed up of course. I was looking forward to you beating him this year lol. Glad you got to team up with. Its an honor to be selected by one of the best.
RM 340 silt section, your chopper circled us, we were prerunning in a stock white bronco. Is it possible to get the footage of us? If there's any. Thanks. Next year will be better.
Don't feel bad. You're running in the toughest racing circuit in the world. Shit happens. You didn't build the part that broke. See you at the Hammers.
Question so I can understand what’s the purpose of going fast when pre running? I understand it’s fun, shit I would be hauling ass but you mentioned you were timing yourself? Why?
That's the Baja 1000! If you don't decide on safety here, you have no business there. It was the right decision. Only those who have the balls to make such a decision have the balls to conquer the Baja. Not in 2024, but you can come back in 2025 with a clear conscience. It was a hard decision for the heart, but now it's stronger and bloodier to come back. 🖤🤎🧡❤🔥✌

Safe to race another day. There will be plenty of highs to come in your career young man.
Your post race videos are the best. No music, just down to earth "this is how my race went". Keep them up.

Who gives a shit what people think they don't have a 1.3 million dollar truck and team to worry about there's all ways next year
Always* And punctuation is our friend. 🙄

Glad no one got hurt. At least you weren’t the guy who designed or built the steering that broke.
You did fantastic

Chris how did Bryce's truck feel and compare to yours? What was better/worse?
Bummer about the mechanical. But how did Bryce's suspension compare to your Live Valve suspension. What where other differences between the trucks? Better luck next season.
Bummer. Understatement for sure. Next year.
Shit happens, it's Baja🙏 Peace and stay safe

Phone call and I pretty much jumped at the offer, I've been watching Bryce forever so it was a dream come true to team up with a legend like himself

Welcome to Mexico 🇲🇽 Baja other new generation boy ,racing trophy truck, I love,
The videos that have come out like at 56 are nutz!! There's so much stuff stuck, upside down, broken, etc. Course is hurting!
So what part officially failed? The servo break and go constant pressure left?
What actually broke? Power steering pump? String box?
RM 340 silt section, your chopper circled us, we were prerunning in a stock white bronco. Is it possible to get the footage of us? If there's any.

Next year will be better.
We don't have a camera on board sorry man!
@@ChristopherPolvoorde hopefully next time
Thanks!
You never said what exactly failed. Any way - glad that you and your co-driver can race another day...that's the important part.
i don't want to rewind it but i'm pretty sure he said they fixed the steering box
That quali lap was a fuckin burner man. On to next season.
Thank you man!

Question so I can understand what’s the purpose of going fast when pre running? I understand it’s fun, shit I would be hauling ass but you mentioned you were timing yourself? Why?
To see which line is faster, timing each line at a fast pace and see which one is quicker
Stuff happens, p1 in quali says something
😎
How come you didn’t wear The Stilo for the race?
Just need to spend some more time in it getting comfortable with it
Thanks for your reply. Great content.
Why they couldn't fix?
If you are thinking about dolphins and the cliffs you're going too slow😂
Nice badland jack.
there's nothing you can do.. Baja won this round.
Orbital vavle 💩 the bed?
sorry guy,
Could have been worse. You could have been second behind the wheel
