Thanks for having me as usual Krenar! Really enjoyed going through the new AZ Standards with you and I think we both need to own one of these soon 😉 €549 is an absolute STEAL for these!
I personally would not change anything besides the bridge if it got worn. This line seems so very damned near Perfect as it is so I would be "chicken" to waste money just to make it worse or to mess it up and especially with all that special switching going on.
Ibanez really might have listened to me. in 2022 I sent Hoshino Gakki E-mail in Japanese, told them RG565's are selling out, we want to see more of the RG565's, please don't stop making them, and in 2025, they released them again in different finish's. :D
That's great! What if we try Telepathy next time? Ibanez might even think it was their on idea and get on it quicker too. Oh well, we can Dream...but these AZ's here are rather a Dream Come True too.
@@squirelova1815 Good idea. I will tell them, not to go too wild on the finish, and reduce the price. Like the nice AZ2404 in Tequila Sunburst. I think they could have similar lower priced Premium’s as well, but they just stopped. Everything is more expensive now unfortunately… Every brand, I am so surprised on Esp Ltd prices as well. It made Gibson Studio’s sound cheap.
@@derickalbert I get where you're coming from. Blocking it is an option but modding it and putting a nice trem is a better option, if you want to utilize the trem.
@@KrenarCilkuGuitar I was thinking a Vega, but that would cost half as much as the guitar. Although they look and sound worth it. Installed 8 trems last year, Vega was the most expressive and fluid feeling of all.Gotoh, Mann, Hipshot, Super V, and Fender 2 point, and two Vegas.
@@nathancourtney2006thanks! we're playing through the Fractal FM9. The tremolo is acceptable but not the best. If I had this guitar, I'd definitely invest in a nice tremolo system for it!

Few things Ibanez could have added similar to a Harley Benton Fusion III. First one is a roller string tree instead of the cheapo vintage ones. Secondly, the two point trem system. Finally, a roasted maple fretboard instead of Jatoba. If Harley Benton could do it, what held you back Ibanez?
If I were to guess, I'd say they will probably do that in the future because they will inevitably sell like crazy as they are. To keep it fresh, they'll most likely offer different finishes, possibly solid colors, too. Cheers!
AZ standard trem-endous mistake 😂 i don't buy into the notion of upgrading it or even blocking it. Do look nice mind i can imagine they will shift quite a few of these.
hahaha, I get it, tinkering with upgrades and stuff isn't for everyone. Even if you put one of the best bridges in the market, like the Vega Trem, you're still way under. The looks, tone and playability are definitely worth the purchase. Cheers man!
@@williammolina9792 yeah, it would have been too good to be true if it had a proper nice trem. In my opinion, however, it's totally reasonable to invest in a good trem for it and upgrade it. The looks and sounds are to die for!
Guitar reviewers everywhere need to all start getting on Ibanez's back about the plastic nuts. On a GIO, fine. On everything above it? Not fine. I can buy a cheaper Cort than this with a bone nut. So many other cheaper guitars than this with bone or graphtech. Sometimes Ibanez even put them on guitars that are getting expensive. I've seen them on Ibanez guitars that cost $1500 in my country - Australia - this is ridiculous. Start calling it out please. Just say cmon Ibanez, what are you doing?

At $550 with the neck joint carve, SS and locking tuners, this thing is an ideal shell for modding a guitar.

The only thing which cripples the AZ series is the trem, I wish they used 2 points floating trem or hardtail.
