I favour the Boney Bro interpretation, but I would say that the young boy represents the princess of Princess Quest. To me the claw machine ending gives me strong "The oven door closed" vibes.

We allegedly play as Cassie's dad who as a child witnessed the animatronics he loved fatally wound another child. He works for Fazbear Entertainment when he gets older and decides to try and stop the Glitchtrap virus, but he's lead astray by Helpy (now H.E.L.P.I.) and takes a forever sleep, but still has enough of a digital consciousness (a remnant??) to help Vanny get the job done instead Tl;dr I say CC is talking about Cassie's dad because CC is always talkng about the current game's story, and HW2 doesn't seem to be about Vanessa at all
