The method I cover in this video only works for BW2, BW1 uses the save method when you're next to your bed, but it is the same concept! Make sure to save your timer0s range because that matters, not just the most common.
Just a heads up, you do have to have a save file to do the unova link method. I tried with and without! Just found my timer 0 though, now let's hunt that starter!
Not sure if this will help anyone but I was trying for the starter with a calibration of -95 and upon switching it to -65 i got it first try, (probably useful if you ever needed to calibrate during the ID process)
Finally did the gen 3 shiny by watching your videos thanks! I do have a question about this one. Do you just restart your DS thru the on/off switch or do you press specific buttons like a soft reset? I am planning on doing this with my DSlite.
I can do both. I usually do normal resets by turning on/off my console. Either way you have to specify in PokeFinder which type of reset you're performing.

Sweet. Really glad you’re uploading with bw2 because I tried it with blisys guide and just kept messing up. Also I tried calibrating, did 25 attempts, the first 6 were 03 and then 7 of the rest were 05. So I have no idea which it is😂

Hi, just joined the discord. When I attempt to calibrate the ds by putting in the 8 needles, the software crashes every time I click enter to find the seed. This happened on my Mac as well as on my windows computers. If you let me know what sub is available to talk on we can move the convo there.

im on dsi, and the loading time is slower compared to ds lite when entering the game. i want to try the sr method, so should i tick the sr box?

Yes it does. You can set your DSi in PokeFinder while finding your Timer0
