I don't think making lists is a strong area for me but anyway, we have lots of winter astrophotography targets in this video!
There's something for everybody in this list for ANY equipment.

Thanks Nick! Great list. I am currently collecting data on the Horsehead Nebula :)

Thanks Nick - good list to work with ! I'm working on many of those as we speak (clear skies permitting here in the US). The only other one I'd add to this list is M33, the Triangulum Galaxy. I just got my first set of subs for that, but have not had the chance to return due to poor seeing conditions.

Thanks Eric! Totally agree on M33. Best of luck with your images!

@@AstroExploring And thank you for the exposure length tip. I'm new at this, so I didn't realize that mixing the longer and shorter exposure lengths was even a thing!? Because I usually try to default and use 1 minute subs in my Bortle 8-9 area (w/ a tracker and CLS filter) for everything, I've noticed my histogram is farther to the right than I want it to be sometimes, so it sounds like I should be decreasing my exposure time (and maintain my ISO at the recommended 800 sweet spot for my Canon DSLR). Does that sound right?

Orion was my first star shoot. I remember being fascinated at having a slightly larger image than what I could see with the naked eye.

That’ll be a great setup. The modified camera will be great for nebulae 👍🏻
