- To adjust to higher regulated pressure you need to turn the black adjustment (seat) screw CCW so it will be further away from the regulator pistons, so it will require more regulated air to shut the valve.
This info is still helping us all these years later, thanks Ernest you really are a blessing to our sport. I recently acquired a Kalibrgun Cricket Compact .177cal in a trade and have been watching all your Cricket videos over and over and have been having a great time. If by some weird chance you ever decide to tune guns for public again I’d be honored to have you set this .177 Cricket Compact up for me.
Now I understand why my cricket leaks air through the regulator and I haven't been able to go hunting for pigeons for 1 year. I think I need to put new o rings on it🤔,thank you very much bro.
thank you very much ,this was very helpful to undersand the principle of regulators in general and the Cricket reg specifically .You are a great person to share all this knowledge and informastion with people who need to know.
Earnest, this is AWESOME information. Thank you SO much for taking the time to do it.
Thank you very much for this nice piece of work. Very simple and clear instructions. Appreciate you time and effort.
Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm
Thank you for sharing this !
Excellent job! Now I don't have to take mine apart to figure out how it works.
I found a similar hammer spring and just cut it down. I can let you know the length. This was just for target plinking in the basement so not sure how this effected the regulator but it worked well.
Nice video.thanks
Such a shame fx caught you in there net.
Congratulations on the channel. Some questions to help me out. Is this system the same as the one in the Cricket 2 WSA? Can I increase the regulator pressure just by opening that Teflon seat very, very slightly without needing to adjust the regulator plates? Thank you 🙏🏻
each gun has a different sweet spot , could vary from 870 to 920fps. each reg and spring preload is different from gun to gun so there is no set speed per quarter tune.
Hola, exelente video, queria saber como dar mas potencia a los tiros a traves del regulador ó válvula. Saludos.
Excelent! I have a question. I have a issue in my .25. First shot is about 232 m/s, second shot 252 , next 259 , 263 than reach 266 m/s and stay around that number. BUT.. if stop shooting for a while.. like 10 min, the first will be 250 m/s. That happens becouse the unregulated air keeps filling the chamber, I mean the regulator ins´t sealing 100%?
It is oring problem or just a screw adjustment? Tks for the help.
Excellent video. Congratulations. A question, WHAT is the best regulator value for a cricket tactical II 60 in .22 caliber for 50 meters? Thank you so much.
Do this changes with the "springer" bring more power to the gun?
Hi Ernest, where would you install a transfer port restrictor, is there such out there. the same for a Vulcan. Any idea? thanks
Hi Great vid I done everything just like you say only used huma air reg when I put everything back refilled the gun to 100 bar to try there is no air going into the chamber pull the trigger just a click to air at all any ideas what I've done wrong please.
It would have been nice to advise the approximate velocity of a 25 grn. Pellet change per a quarter of a turn
