Breaking Bad was the only show to actually treat the mental effects of killing someone rather realistically, and also portrayed people recovering from gunshot wounds in a good manor too. In other shows the character would get shot multiple times and just have a limp the next episode. In Breaking Bad getting shot is a big deal and the character can be injured and have to recover for a long time.

I've always seen Hank's attitude as a response from Marie's change in attitude. She was much different before Hank got shot and now she babys him; treats him like she's his mother, coddling him. Hank, the macho guy he is, hates that. When he's already feeling at his weakest ever, she's making it worse. It unfortunately remind me of my asshole teenage self and my mom always having to walk on eggshells around me.
Hank finds his situation humiliating. He doesn't want her to see him like this. He hates it.

Regarding the show winning awards (namely at the Emmy's): let's put it this way, back when Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones were on the air at the same time, Game of Thrones simply COULDN'T WIN versus Breaking Bad.
Yes. Breaking Bad swept virtually ALL the Emmy's. If I recall correctly, Cranston won best actor for every season of the show except for one (and part of me thinks they didn't give it to him simply because they felt bad towards the other nominees for giving it to him for the previous 3 years running).
Yeah. Game of thrones was an excellent show though at the time, but breaking bad is the only show that I can think of that is excellent from start to finish. None of breaking bads episodes are bad. Unfortunately game of thrones has taken a dip in quality lately to say the least.
Yeah and the 4 seasons of Game of Thrones were when it was at it's best.

This show dominated the emmy's! Kept GoT, Mad Men and others from winning until BB was finished!
The amount of talent in this show is incredible. It doesn't matter which aspect of the show we are talking about either, all of it is skilfully created.
And now, The Emmys ignored both Better Call Saul and El Camino.
Breaking bad only dominated in season 5, Madmen beat this series twice, and GOT won the most Emmy award in history.

I love how Nahid just played along with what they thought 38 Snub stood for.
Jesse makes a lot of bad choices yet some how still manages to be the most sympathetic character on the show. As bad as he is there always manages to be something lovable about him.

Interesting point number 2: No one ever seems to get the callback of this episode. Remember in Season 2 Episode 1, when they were dealing with a dangerous drug dealer named Tuco? Jesse went and bought a revolver planning to shoot him the next time the saw him, but Walt thought it was a bad idea. Now that it's HIS idea to deal with Gus, though, he's all about it. At once showing his lack of respect for Jesse and exhibiting signs of ego-mania.

The blue background obviously is referring to the product that frames their world. Red is danger, and Hannah and Rana are in it. Rana must be reenacting someone incapacitated by the danger (Jesse), while Hannah is looking on with concern (father-figure Walt). Nahid is playing Gus: out of sight, but his presence is still felt. After that, everything is slightly out of sync, just like the characters' lives. Excellent skit. 12/10.

I was housesitting/catsitting at a friend's condo once. It was like 2 weeks or something. I was living in a shared house with like 5 other people at the time so I was excited about having a whole condo to myself. Then just at this time the guy I was seeing was being a fuckwit, bringing a date to my birthday party (???), ghosting me, and then dumping me.
I was SO happy to get back home to my attic room after the 2 weeks were up. Being all alone in that condo every night was a living nightmare.

The. 38 snub nose (snub meaning short barrel) is not a Saturday night special or a "stripper gun" it's more of an everyday carry or backup. The Saturday night special is even smaller and a semiautomatic such as a .32 or .25 acp. Some .38s have longer barrels, some have the shorter more compact snub nose. It's not the smallest pistol you can get. It's not a "pocket pistol" it's usually carried in a form fitting pocket holster or ankle holster, even though it can be carried in a pocket, but a "pocket pistol" would be even smaller and usually carried without a holster, hence the term "pocket pistol". A.38 would sometimes be referred to as an "ankle gun" because back in the day when Police used revolvers, some police used to use the smaller snub nose .38 in an ankle holster as an off duty carry or as a backup to their main gun which would have a longet barrel. A revolver can also be pressed directly against someone and fired and also fired from within a pocket :spoiler alert: (like in el Camino) without the action being disturbed. A semi automatic pistol , if fired while touching someone or something, or if someone grabs it, can jam because the slide might be prevented from reciprocating and feeding the next round.
Some common misconceptions about guns: A jam doesn't mean the gun didn't go off, it means it failed to feed the next round. A gun fires at least once before it jams. If it fails to fire it is a misfire, which is much less likely with modern brass and steel cased ammo . When you hear about flintlock or matchlock pistols failing to fire in historical failed assassinations , it is a misfire, not a jam. Also, revolvers can jam , and seize up, and malfunction in many more ways than a pistol. They have more moving parts and are more complicated mechanisms. They have their pros and cons, a revolver may be more preferable in an extreme close range situation, but only if it is not too old or worn out. You should only trust a revolver that you know is in good working condition. Too much oil or pocket lint can "jam"a revolver, and other pistols too, but if a revolver jams you will probably need a gunsmith. If a semiautomatic pistol jams it can be cleared in seconds.

I dont want you guys to take this the wrong way but I feel that you shouldn't explain anything to the girls during or immediately after the episode, BELIEVE me I love showing and watching shows with my girl, shows I often seen already and I always used to pause and explain to her little details I feel would add to her experience, I would also shut down ideas about certain plots she would have and steer her towards the actual one. After many, many, MANY shows I came to the realization that I was robbing her of that sense of wonder and bewilderment we get when trying to decipher where the plot is going to go, I forgot that part of the reason why the show hits or not with audiences/networks is the shows ability to keep people coming back for next week to find the answer or new clue. Even when a plot idea you have is stupid and you know it it adds to that wonder and interest thus making the show better, that in turn makes the EXPERIENCE better. If I was watching a show for the first time alone with a machine that would pause and explain scenes, backgrounds, dialogue etc, along with a recap immediately at the end that removes any mystery going in to the next episode I doubt I would enjoy the series as much, not to mention it eliminates the fun of going back to rewatch and find Easter eggs or clues we missed. I know people are going to get mad and think I dont like or appreciate the info but I also believe that you guys will understand what I mean, also I'm not saying you shouldn't give that info but I believe it should be during recaps after 2 or 3 episodes, while after the episodes just keep the late night talk show style with questions and let them wallow in their uncertainty because cmon that's a big part of why we watch these dramas. LOVE ALL 3 of you and the reactions regardless and will continue obviously, just my 2 cents!>.

Couple things: Saturday night specials refer to inexpensive guns of low quality bought to commit crimes with and then toss. The term isn't really centered around hookers at specifically. Walt's gun looks to be a gun of quality (probably Smith & Wesson) and wouldn't really qualify as a Saturday night special. It is also a myth that dry firing a gun will damage it. Most trainers encourage dry fire practice. There are things called snap caps that can be used in ace of a live round, but they aren't necessary.
It will cause damage if it's a rimfire gun, but Walter's snubnose isn't. So he's alright.
