    Lovely video. In regards to all these nice places, It is a shame to see that there is a lot of deterioration on many of these city parks. It is urgent to recover them and provide a very dedicated and constant maintenance.

    Waaaaat??? You did not include Chapultepec? And one of my favorites is the plaza at the Revolution monument: the water fountains with kids and dogs playing in the random water spouts. And then there is the cute little Tabacalera park behind San Carlos museum on Calle Ignacio Mariscal.

    • @AndriiZhulidov
      @AndriiZhulidov  Рік тому +1

      Haha, don't be mad at me about Chapultepec. Everybody talks about Chapultepec in every video about Mexico City, so I just didn't want to repeat the same thing. tabacalera park is neat, I looked it on the map and realized I've been there a couple of times.

    I was in CDMX from September-January and that scaffolding was still up at Alameda Central 😕 The parks are one of my favorite things about CDMX. I also like Parque Hundido, Bosque de San Juan de Aragon, Parque Lincoln, and Viveros de Coyoacan. Also in Coyoacan is a newer place called Parque Cantera...never got there, but the design of it looks extremely interesting.

    • @AndriiZhulidov

      Scaffolding is always up and down as there are a lot of demonstrations in city center. Thank you for sharing your favorite parks, I need to go and check out Parque Cantera.

    Great video!!, Ámsterdam Avenue has that shape because it used to be the race track of an old hippodrome, that's why the neighborhood is called Hipodromo Condesa, the name Condesa is because the owner, held the nobility title of Countess of Miravalle and her old house is now the Russian embassy, a lot of history in this city

    • @AndriiZhulidov
      @AndriiZhulidov  2 роки тому

      Thank you! Yes, I mentioned the story about hippodrome before they built the neighborhood, but I never heard of the name Condesa story! Thanks again!

    Thank you for another excellent, informative video! You have given me more parks to mark on my map app. Two comments/ recommendations: Anyone visiting Alameda Central should stop into the Museo Mural Diego RIvera (just west of the park). Inside is his huge mural called "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in the Alameda". The mural has an interesting history and offers a critique of Mexican history and class divisions. In my opinion, the Kiosko Morisco in Santa Maria is one of the most beautiful buildings in Mexico. It is very interesting to see how Moorish and Arabic design made its way through Spain to colonial Mexico. And yes, instagram gold: I posted my photos of the kiosko n January 2020 but I did not realize it was iron). We were there on a weekday morning - it was very quiet. It was nice to see it (and all the parks) so lively when you were there. I want to go back!

    Parque Mexico is my favorite park: como la selva en la cuidad. I love all the vegetation there and all the dogs, too! I'm sure you know the history of La Mexicana: it is on the site of a former sand mine. Like so many places in CDMX, the history is fascinating.

      Jardin Botanico y Espacio is closed due to covid, I recently wanted to film the sculpture and I was not able to get there. I'm not a big fan of Viveros de Coyoacan due to limited entrances to the park, as I don't walk all around the park to enter it. Hundido is also nice! Thank you for your comment!

    Hey Andrii. I watched this through from start to finish. This video took a lot of afford and for sure deserves more views. As you have 9 parks and mentioned a 10th I wondered why you did not made a "TOP 10 Parks to visit in Mexico city". I think this would slightly be more clickable and intriguing?

      Hey again! You are absolutely right! You know, by the time of editing and working on thumbnail - title and description is something I don’t have energy last for.
      Is it a good idea to change it right now? I don’t know how it will effect the video if I change the name right now. What do you think?

      @@AndriiZhulidov I know that exactly. As your videos and thumnails are awesome I thought it might be the titels that hold your channel back from exploding. All caps is like yelling at the audience and it looks like advertising to me. You / we can allways change the title and the thumnail, that will not negativly affect the perfomance of the video. I did it some times when I thought the video is better than the performance. You can change the title and come back to the analytic of this vid and see if it got a bend to more views after the day you changed. OR: As is has "only" 1000 views you could go again into the edit an just insert text-layers with the countdown numerbers. Or try this title: "Insiders'tip: Dont miss these 10 parks in Mexico city." hmmpf maybe too long...

    Es imposible que pongas todos los parques, y podría hablarte de un listado mayor, pero hay uno muy simbólico para los capitalinos y ese es es Parque Hundido. Este indudablemente debe estar en tu top 10. ¿y que onda con el parque ecológico Xochimilco? ¿el parque lineal Vicente Guerrero? claro que hay muchos más pero visítalos, posiblemente rehagas tu lista.

    The reason of why many fountains are off, is because CDMX y its too high from the sea level, so pumping wather is very inefficient, and take the water from below the city (the original lake), will sink the city even quicker, probable you see that many buildings have stairs for no reason, its beacuse the city is sinking 50cm per year in some parts, this ones and many other things are the reason why fountains didnt work, there is no water, not enough, a lot of houses have water only 4 days of the week. A great video about this is called, why mexico city geography sucks.
    Sorry if my english is preatty bad.
