As a proud canadian and someone who has traveled to several countries, mexico rules. mexico once viewed as a third world country, now stands poised to lead north america into the future. dont listen the the crap sold to you by the media, this country is safe, stable and a value. home to some of the sweetest people i have ever met. alot of us are questioning the cost of living, and general crap of our home countries.politics, and general bullshit. Viva mexico. I wish this channel all the best...keep up the good work.
Thank you for your comment. Much appreciated! 😊⭐️👍🏻
Unfortunately Trudeau is taking this country to a ditch, and once he has enough brute force to push the wheel is almost impossible leave it, once you fall into the hamster wheel.... 😓
I am Mexican and although I appreciate your attempt to counter the exaggerated bad news from the US media, I must say that it is not right to cover the sun with one finger either..
No, Mexico is not safe... we have a BRUTAL number of murders, we have the first place in rape and murder of women and the first places in child abuse or maltreatment
Massacres and executions in a large part of the country.
Almost every Mexican knows of an acquaintance or family member who was murdered by organized crime that charges you a fee, extorts you...
😢❤❤🎉
No diga eso compa, Canada rules too
I don't think National Geographic or discovery could've done a better documentary. This video is so detailed. I'm Mexican living in Los Angeles just retired and living my Mexican dream in Rosarito BC Mexico ans my plan is to go and visiti Mexico City, my birthplace Guanajuato and many more states in Mexico and your videos are helping me a lot on how to plan. Thanks for your videos, exellent work.
Thank you so much! Your kind words mean a lot to us. I’m so happy too that we are helping you plan your trip…😊✌🏻
MEXICO IS INCREÍBLE ... IS OUT OF THIS WORLD ... FOR THE PEOPLE ...
Beautiful presentation on some of the best that Mexico City has to offer. Just a couple of things: Mexican independence from Spain was made official with the signing of the Treaty of Córdoba in 1821, not 1921. The Mexican War of Independence started in 1810 and should not be confused with the period of civil war called the Mexican Revolution (1910-1917). Cheers!
I've watched a bunch of videos on Mexico City planning a visit. This video had things I'd never scene that are now on my list. Thx for a great video!
Thank you! Really appreciate your feedback.😊⭐️👍🏻
Great video. We visited CDMX last July an loved it. You captured the places and essence of the city very well!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Tremendous Capital City!. History, culture, tradition, art and gastronomy, Mexico City is just fascinating. Too much to explore and discover.
The country has the largest number of world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in the Americas!
Nice vid!
Thanks for watching! We agree there are so many things we have yet to see!

Thanks for showing the things you love about México, but you never mentioned the people.
I think #1 are the Mexicans. Their kindness, generosity and joy for life.
That is very true! We loved to see people gathering with others and enjoying their time. 👍🏼❤️
My life's dream is to go to Mexico. My husband is Mexican American, and I am telling him to go get his citizenship and see what he has missed out on. I wanna go there to give back and help the communities. I don't want to change it, I want it to change me ♡
There are so many wonderful places in Mexico! I hope you have some amazing adventures ahead. 🇲🇽
Actually the pyramids of Teotihuacan (the ones outside the city) weren’t built by the Aztecs. They were built by a different civilization way before the Aztecs arrived in that area.
Thanks for the info- we would love to learn more about the history of the area. The Aztec place we were mentioning was Tlatelolco, inside Mexico City. Teotihuacan outside the city was also amazing. So much fascinating history to explore is one of the reasons we love Mexico City.
@@ShouldWeLiveHereI should also mention that Mexican independence wasn’t 1921, but 1821. You were off by a mere century.
I absolutely love Mexico City, ❤
Loved Mexico City. Attended the CEPE UNAM to learn Spanish and about Mexican culture and history, and lived in Coyoacan for almost to years. It's this huge, amazing, endlessly discoverable city! Loved it!
Great informative video. Many thanks! 🙂
😃 Appreciate the kind comment!

Yes! So much outdoor, public art all over Mexico City.
When I lived in Mexico City, I went some Sundays to the castle for the noon hour classical music performances their. All free, but you have to line up to get a ticket. The number of free or almost free arts and culture offerings in Mexico City is mind blowing.

Hi, i´m from Poza Rica Veracruz in Mexico, when you want to come here, i will bring you help to know some places to visit or stay like the ruinas del tajín, the beach or the delicious tacos or zacahuilt.

Concuerdo enteramente contigo.
UNAM is very reasonable for foreigners, and the CEPE is a great place to learn Spanish.
Yes México city is one of the best place to move, but if you decide to do so, please try to learn some spansih, is gonna be easier for you like foriegner to comunicate, and also for the people in mexico, i hope you enjoy México.
Gracias 🙏🏻
Loving this vid, but one correction. Teotihaucan was pre Aztec. The Aztec peoples (the Mexica) who first arrived in the area found it abandoned and in ruins. It's still not know who the people of Teotihuacan were, what they were called, where they went, or even what they called Teotihuacan.
You're more than welcome to come and live here :)
Thanks! We really do love Mexico City and all that it offers…😊⭐️👍🏻
YOURE WRONG THE PEOPLE OF MEXICO CITY DONT NEED FOREIGNERS TO COME TO LIVE HERE , PLEASE STAY IN YOU COUNTRY O GO TO COSTARICA SALVADOR ECUADOR OR PHILIPINES , DONT COME HERE NO MORE
GENTRIFICATION
…
I think it’s our own government failing us that is leading to gentrification of Cuidad Mexico. Still, this UA-camrs heart seems pure and seems like a true Mexican already
Mexico's war with Spain did not end in 1921. It was 1821. I really miss Mexico City.
Thanks for the clarification. We miss Mexico City as well!😊👍🏻
No no no my friend . Those are not “mariachi Bands” , they’re simply street “singers “.Mariachi is a full band , at least one person each one carrying an instrument which must include violin, trumpets , bass, guitarra , harps , tenors and they are elegantly dressed in Mariachi outfits , most of the time expensive ones .It’s a national pride . Just because two singers on the streets are with a guitar and camp workers sombrero , it’s mis informative to tell they’re Mariachi Bands to your viewers , I’m not mad just for you to know. Peace ✌️
Thank you for letting us know! We appreciate it and will keep that in mind in future.
@@MaryGwenDungan for a mariahci band yes..
Air quality is deal breaker me. Other than that it's pretty nice.
We didn’t notice the air quality being that bad when we visited - but agreed it is a concern.
Come in the rainy season. Air quality is much better
Also visitors must keep in mind the elevation, 7300 feet or 2200 meters above sea level. Therefore the oxygen in the air is less. As a CHILANGO, CDMX inhabitant, winter and spring are the seasons were air pollution can get high. The city is at the bottom of a CLOSED BASIN.
I hope Mexican government approves visas for foreigners from Europe, USA and the rest of the world, there are so many foreigners displacing native people.
Now that so many people can work from anywhere, and as the world population keeps increasing, governments need to figure out solutions to migration issues. No easy task….
@@ShouldWeLiveHere "so many" but not all the people can't do it, there are so many cities on Mexico in where they can move to live, not only Mexico City, the origin people don't should to move to another place only for to give their own places. I know, many mexican people had moved to other countries and I think is the same situation but for USA and Europe people has more purchasing power.

@natashtepa have a few good videos about picking a place to stay, both the popular ones and the underrated ones. ua-cam.com/video/yrwwSCf2Cfw/v-deo.html
Most tourists stay around Condesa and Roma as they are filled with good restaurants and tree lined streets

Mexico became independent from Spain in 1810.
Thanks for watching. We look forward to learning more about the fascinating history of Mexico.
No, 1821
Just FYI, not every group of people playing traditional Mexican music is called mariachi.
Thanks- yes a couple other people made the same comment. We will keep that in mind in the future.
Your perspective is WRONG, people here are very resourceful with the little money they make, families pool their resources together and help each other out, extreme poverty is a reality in a country with no social safety net, Mexican people are some of the friendliest, kindest, happiest, hardest working, humble people in the whole world, for Mexicans, money isn’t everything, FAMILY structure is. 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for watching!
Exact! 👍🏼
it sounds amazing you can enjoy the cit this way, but for you to make like that lots of people had been vanished from their neighborhoods because of gentrification; i wish i could afford to live in a better area but now it seems they are reserved to this so called digital nomads that earn in dollars
Sadly, this is true in almost all of the places we are visiting. Rents are rising far faster than wages.
@@ShouldWeLiveHere not almost, all. And it is greatly because of this mobility phenomenon, it would be nice to acknowledge all of you about that, I also believe is part of life, of change, but maybe together we can find a solution for all and stop this unfair game. You rise your lifestyle by lowering ours but surely some wealthiest citizens would tell you different. Greetings!!

Nice, Mexico City
Yes, it is one of our favourite places! Thanks for watching.😎⭐️👍🏻
Teotihuacan is not an Aztec city. It was built by another civilization that disappeared around 1000 years ago that spreader as far as Guatemala and ruled over some Mayan cities like Tikal
Are you referring to the part where we are talking about Tlatelolco in Mexico City? I thought that stones from an Aztec temple there were used to build the church. It s later where we talk about Teotihuacan which is outside the city. There is a lot of history that we would love to learn more about.
If you come to Mexico, speak Spanish. Respect our way of life and culture. The world is diverse and we must all respect each other. Welcome. 🇲🇽

Please get lost. I am from Queretaro and people can speak any language they want. What do you care?
Martin Alcala, de que diablos hablas?
@@ShouldWeLiveHere If you come to Mexico city, do whatever you want to do, appreciate things in the frame you see fit and speak whatever language you can speak.
CDMX is real cool, but it always strikes me that gentrification is hitting it hard.
This is something we want to learn more about. I see that being true in a few neighborhoods in Mexico City but not most. In Mexico City around 11% of the population was foreign born. In Toronto it is 46%.
Tulum has definitely been devastated by investors and development but we didn’t see the same in Mexico City.
Mexico city is so huge, it may not be an issue in most areas. But from what I have read, areas that are very popular in CDMX, particularly Roma and Condessa, are full of expats, digital nomads, etc, such that rents are now unaffordable to the Mexicans who used to live there.
It's to crowded, I don't recommend to move here.
I just read Mexico City's 2023 population is now estimated at 22,281,442. In 1950, the population of Mexico City was 3,365,081!
@@ShouldWeLiveHere well, 9,000,000 in Mexico City and 13,000,000 in suburban area.

I came from a bicultural family, most Mexicans and Latinos in general are not ashamed of their culture I can say they embrace it but in the states teachers and most people make us ashamed of our traditions and language, thank god I don't live in the U.S. anymore I'm happier than when I lived In the U.S. and believe me we don't want spread gentrification here specially deported and immigrants who lived in the states.
if you gonna move here, respect the culture and learn the lenguage....we don´t have to speak english in our own country

Chapultepec Castel was built by our beloved king Maximilian of Hasburg a miximum kiser of Mexiko along with park and Zoo, he was Austrian born and Napoleón III brother.
We loved touring this incredible castle…the views were amazing!⭐️
crime and corruption is ridiculous in the city so no thanks. Some areas are ok and safe-ish, but for most expats it's not a good living experience. As a foreigner you will always be targeted by various individuals
Thanks for the lowdown…
mexico needs a negative income tax.
I hadn’t heard of that before- I’ll have to read more about how it compares to a universal basic income.
First they need to enforce their existing tax laws more effectively. And digital nomads and other expats need to pay the taxes they owe.
