Honestly I have been using insta 360 X3 for the last 1 year, trust me you need lots of practice, skills and imagination to create unique shots , these youtubers are professionals they can make any videos looks interesting, because of skills, but for amateur users it's hard , but not impossible need to practice alot. Thanks
As an admirer of your work I’m smiling that this video is finally in HDR. 👌🏾 meant warmly, but I suggested you should now be trying out HDR kindly responded and I was surprised at the negativity from someone who is so adventurous, pioneering and curious. All these positive observation of you are again proven. Nice one Pascal, you are the only talented UA-camr to have tried it. 👌🏾
Yeah, it’s very difficult to get into at the beginning though. But now that used HDR a few times, I don’t want to miss it anymore. Thanks for the suggestion 👍🏻
@@pascalbasel so, you’re both talented, I wish I had just 10% of your talent, and you’re also classy and evolve. I don’t know what editing software you use but I use Davinci resolve and I’ve got some settings that I think would make life easy for you if you’re interested. No insult taken if you missed this, stay well my friend.
As always my friend, a really useful video. You mentioned about better quality if only one lens used, a fair point. What I’ve found in my x4 is the video quality is worse than my x 3, and I mention this when filming in very bright conditions. I’ve sent Insta 360 video footage, we will see how their after sales is.
@@pascalbasel I’m hoping it’s a bug rather than hardware. Keep them coming, not often but enough as I’ll watch them. I think you have a following where it’s not time specific, just make them as you feel like it and I’ll be around to watch them which surely is the best type of subscriber. I hope it takes the pressure off and means you can do it long-term I hope.
Thank you for your video. Could you please let me know if there is a massive difference in regards of the photography as opposed to other actions cameras? I am looking for a compact travelling camera and this camera fit perfectly. I don't use these cameras for jumping on the airplane, riding motorbike, vlogging etc. but mostly for my personal travels and have great memories. I record more videos than taking pics but I am wondering about the quality for photography (I used to have a GoPro12). I would really appreciate If I could get your feedback about this. Thanks
Absolutely, I got this camera recently and I was trying to vlog in landscape mode single lens which is max 4k not 8k. I can get 8k only when i use 360 mode. I still have to explore how to use 8k landscape mode to make vlogging videos if thats even possible with this camera. i have seen some people doing it. I am just a newbie
I tried editing in Davinci, using KartaVR with even ProRes exported files and the resolution was never as good as using the native 360 app. I researched this extensively and also did hours of testing and it never worked well enough to give me a release quality video. So now I'm really not sure how you are achieving such high resolution while editing in Davinci. And, yes I did tweak the project settings to attempt optimization.
I use the Insta360 app first to export the full 360 videos in H265, then I import them in Resolve and edit with KartaVR. Just like I showed in the editing part in this video at the beginning. There you can see the settings.
@@pascalbasel I have an update. I got the Studio version and it allowed me to set the proper native resolution. Hugh Huo had some additional suggestions that were excellent. I am now editing my 360 videos in Davinci with no issues. Thank you for your help.
Same feeling lol. I’m really pissed at myself for spending 600 bucks on this (bundle). Tried a lot of things but still very confusing. I hope it works out
@@theMr.Kdid you guys like… export the footage? Because the proxy editing looks like trash but once you export it (given the settings were properly suited for whatever job) the quality is pretty crystal clear
Cool video! I’ve used 360 footage in my last cinematic travel video on my channel! It was before the cool new transitions update but I really like the result! Check it it out if you’re interested!
FYI: i’ve been watching this on my samsung tv and see that it does struggle a bit when watching it on 2160 HDR on the buffer side of things. I have a high speed internet connection.

2nd shot was super awesome
Thank you my friend for the great ideas on how to use the insta360, great job man!
A welcome break from the usual drone shot etc, making some dramatic shots quite easy and more interesting.
Awesome ideas. Thank you.
Ok i try very thank ❤❤❤
Dude I really love your shots composition ! You climbing up the stairs at 3:40 or even the train passing by at 7:03

the second edit make me want to buy the camera
Ih, is it possible to switch camera when filing in single lens shot ? Like with the osmo pocket 3 ? To Vlog ?
Hi Pascal , is it this need location is on or not? Thanks for nice sharing, which one this one or GoPro? Thinking get one for holiday. Thanks again
Extra, thanks. 😉

Hi, what was your settings for single lens mode?
Can you manually change the shutter speed in the 8k mode
Max. resolution of single lens mode for insta 360x4 is 4k actually. Don't confuse us)

How do you stitch two 8K files?
The "NO DURIAN" sign made me laugh... then I went down a Reddit rabbit hole.
Had no idea there was such widespread agreement on its stankiness.
Do we get a discount code?
Could only make the free selfie stick possible for this one.
I’m always having 3m stick
I just got an X4.. really underwhelmed.. rubbish quality / muddy footage.. will keep testing.. it could be the wizard, not the wand.. ✌

Well, I have one and the footage is great. Did you try exporting with correct settings?
@@a2mdb it's okay.. I think it's just the laws of pyhsics when it comes to low light & small sensors.. loving it overall..
@@jamieandrei yeah. It sucks at low light
If you could ask Insta360 to put that AI editing in the desktop because I do all of my editing with that.
In shot in bed you forgot it have invisible stick. You don’t need make a construction on the top of your head
and then you see the stitching line in your face.
@pascalbasel i have x2 and I don't find that problem.
