Hope this helps you out! Here's a few other videos that are already on the channel that might help if you're struggling with setting everything up or are more curious about using flash. * Setting Up Wireless Flash - ua-cam.com/video/5zEhzJkFyBY/v-deo.html * One Flash Headshots - ua-cam.com/video/WrP9lWwGSSE/v-deo.html Cheap Flash VS Expensive Flash - ua-cam.com/video/Uf3kJSuhswk/v-deo.html My Flash Setup for Real Estate - ua-cam.com/video/XJgS89SvfRw/v-deo.html
Would lighting the backdrop with a continuous video light (also with a rectangular softbox), instead of the flash also work? I have an AD200 and a V1, but not a 3rd flash to light the backdrop.
It could work but flashes are so much more powerful (even super cheap ones) that it'll be hard to get the backdrop really white while keeping your shutter speed high enough to be sharp with a longer lens. I'd probably just go with the ad200 for the background, the v1 for the key light, and use the video/constant light for a hair light if you want to have one (if you're going with that combo). Based on how much power output you actually need for each part that'll probably work best.
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo I followed your suggestion and it worked out good, I was happy with the results of the portraits. However, I have some larger homes coming up soon with large rooms and high ceilings, so I picked up an AD300. So for future portraits, I'll use a 3 flash setup, like you did in the video. Thanks for the follow up 🙏
amzn.to/3Vv0Ub4 It's this one! Didn't remember it being this expensive, but I guess it is what it is. The collapsable base is really handy for transporting it
Awesome! 🤙🏻
THANKS

Is the backdrop really necessary? Wouldn’t a neutral wall be sufficient?
If the wall is the color you want that will be good. The matte paper is good to avoid shine and texture though.

@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Thanks for your reply, makes sense, I'll give that a try.
Let me know how it goes!

@@ksa8483 Awesome!! That should work well. AD300 looks awesome - How are you liking it compared to the other 2?
Thank you, what brand is your C-Stand?
