    My husband the hvac engineer says it sounds like the vent is plugged on your heater for your shop heater or the damper isn't opening like it should or if it has a power vent the motor is burnt out. Or it could be the gas value is leaking so it gets too much gas at once.
    He said the most common issue is wasps or hornets nests blocking the exhaust.

    The city takes care of the cemeteries where I live. They leave them very messy with a very big mound of dirt. It takes about a year for all the dirt to settle. And when they mow they hit some of the headstones. Thank you for showing us that you care.

    Delayed ignition. The gas flows longer building up a pocket of gas that goes "boom" when it lights. In commercial boilers it is caused by a bad burner tube or a dirty burner.

      If the air switch is bad the combustion fan will come on at the wrong time causing a delayed ignition. Get a different Boiler tech.

      I mostly bailed out when they broke into their own channels. I think the family together on a single channel is better. But since they each run their own business off the farm I assume they couldn't figure out how to split the youtube profits (which are obviously substantial).

    "Booming sound could likely be due to "delayed ignition." This phenomenon occurs when there's a delay in the gas igniting, which can cause a buildup of gas and result in a small explosion or boom when it finally ignites."
    Now, how to fix it🤔. Make sure your service guys checked the gas pressure, ignition timing, etc.

      I have seen in some cemetery's especially in the east they will move the head stones so they are back to back one will be at the foot rather than the head of the grave so they equipment and mowers can get thru to maintain lawns and for burials it looks odd but more efficient to maintain the cemetery.

    If it has an electrical igniter, it may not be reaching its full temperature quick enough and allows gas to build before it ignites with a boom. I have had to replace igniters on furnaces before because even-though they might get red in color, they are not doing it quick enough.

    The unit should turn fan on evacuate the fire chamber then start igniter and release gas once lit a flame sensor sees the flame and allows it to high fire so maybe a weak igniter or a sticky gas valve make sure there is no birds nest in the cubustion air intake pipe causing a bad air to fuel mixture the same for exhaust gas pipe, also make sure its not just making steam make sure the primary circulator is functioning if it was failing it could cause the water to over heat into steam but the flow switch should catch that, I miss doing problem calls lol

    For sure ignition problem on heater. what you hear is a small explosion of too much gas before it ignites. My water heater in my RV was doing the same exact thing. The flow of Propane needs to be directed exactly in the right place as to mix with oxygen at he right time while the ignitor is on. I eventually corrected the problem through trial and error by slightly bending the port toward the ignitor.

  • @ljgitis550
    @ljgitis550 2 місяці тому +10

    Unfortunate you did not give much of a good shot on the Boiler. It does look like a two pipe air input and exhaust. Check to make sure nothing as gotten into the pipes. Wasp nest and birds nest will mess with the air/exhaust causing lack of air to start the burning process and thus a delayed ignition. A chamber that is not sealed will also cause such issues, I would check for issues with the model!! Ignitor weak, wrong or improperly installed can also lead to a failure to ignite. An ignitor, if flat surface style that heats up to ignite as to pull info power (amps) to actually get hot enough to ignite. If spark style needs a hot enough spark to once again Ignite. A poor ground on a spark system can also lead to this happening as well as the surface of the sparker or ground side being dirty. Electricity does not like to go through stuff. One more thing that can cause such a problem is dirty burners. Cole at the house was just talking about cleaning the burners. If the gas can not freely move through the burners it can cause the gas to move away from the igniter. Unlike what Cole did, I remove the burners and take them to a sink and flush water through them and cover the big openings to force water through the small openings of the burner. One last thing that can cause problems is the control board.

  • @domangst8232
    @domangst8232 2 місяці тому +2

    I know you said that they have replaced the igniter. I would also like to change the gas valve with it most. Valves are opening up by resistance from the igniter, and if the sensor that sees the igniter is hot enough to ignite gas. Also check your burners with propane causes rusting and difficulty in lighting and you will have the explosion

    I worked at a place where the furnace did that when the wind was strong from the NW. If a door was opened to the wind side the furnace would finally light. The answer in that case would have been to plumb the intake combustion air to the same outside wall, but of course they never did and the heat exchanger cracked from the from all the little explosions. Obviously the inducer fan is going, but is there sufficient flow out the exhaust?

    On the tankless...gas has a narrow band ( %) when it is combustible...what you describe is a build up of a large amount of fuel and air, then ignition. The heater will run a purge cycle ...test the ignitor and check proofing switches , blower speed , etc. It can upon firing, fail and the blower would go into purge mode . Some source of ignition can cause a boom at that time...more likely the flame is unstable and surging due to fuel quality, a bad regulator, or lack of oxygen in the intake air. The mixture can rise or fall into the percentage needed and Boom ! Check clearences for terminations and your fuel system. G.L.

    I jus turned it off for most of winter, I was going to tear it apart and see if something crawled in the Exhaust over last summer?? It looks clear but can't see all the way in. It seems to be purging like it should before it lights the fire, but o man.....didn't want to burn down the house.

  • @bobglaid3737
    @bobglaid3737 2 місяці тому +1

    Daddy cs the boom could be a delayed ignition caused by one or more burner holes plugged with burnt dust. If I looked at it I would first look at for a white powder near the pilot or igniter. Id look to see if a couple holes were blocked or plugged up near that igniter or if multiple burners are close to each other. A delayed ignition can happen if gas is coming out of a burner but access to the igniter or pilot is blocked and the burners don’t lite until gas builds up enough to drift over to that pilot or igniter

    They show your experiencing with that hot water floor system is at the system is introducing the hot water to the cold water way too fast so that's what gives you your explosion sound The system is cranked up way too fast for it to circulate so it needs to be set to slow so that way it'll move throughout the system slow first and then it can speed up because the minute the hot water is introduced into the cold water system remember it expanse which shocks the whole tire system which that's what gives you your loud boom

  • @edbiggie

    I believe that is why creamation is the answer if space is the issue. I've planned on creamation. An be scattered around the area.

    To much propane pressure. Have your guy put manometer on the inlet of the gas valve adjust to factor specs. Then put gauge on burner side of the valve and adjust for burner side.. normal 12 oz. In.10 oz out. After adjustments.. start up a check. .. too much propane blowing past the igniter on startup then when it ignites…boom!

    One time my dad was picking rock and found a big one and he went to get it out and him and my grandpa had to use our backhoe to dig it out and they struggled to get it out just to find out the backhoe was on it becuas the rock was bigger than the backhoe but they eventually got it out and had to push it around with our bulldozer to move it

    86 bucks, sounds like price gouging to me. Ellie must like the water the way she goes after it. She's a cutie, be safe little lady. Enjoyed watching the video. Keep up the good work DC, big thumbs up

    Could it be water hammering? Does it happen when the unit stops flowing/pumping?

    Mark your stick with depth marks from bucket teeth so you know your depth with out measuring. I dug utilities for decades, knowing personal.
