I think Rylo has better stabilization, but if you aren't doing extreme sports it doesn't really make a huge difference. Overall the Insta360 is the best 360 camera with true colors and great features.

Love it! Last year I made a 360° smartphone rig which you stand on as the motorised arm goes around underneath you to capture bullet time and regular video. Interesting seeing another (more mobile) take on my university project! Project video is on my channel for anyone who’s interested!

Great job with this review! These are selling for $239 now for Black Friday!! To me that's way Too much of a price difference to get the new ac360One X which is $399.00. They're pretty much the same (in terms of results) except for the 5.7k video and variable hyperlapse on the X.

I purchase this camera because of your review. Let me tell you, my old LG360 produce much better quality. This insta360 cannot get any quality close to 4K. It’s really bad 360 camera. LG360 I was able to use it without 360 function and this one cannot be used as a regular camera. Insta360 app is awful cannot do a lot of things. I like to export insta360 one files to power director but you cannot. Please don’t promote something that is not good as good.

Question:
For the HYPERLAPSE mode, are you recording an actual video, and the hyperlapse is a software-made sped-up series of photos, or are you setting it to "hyperlapse" to record it that way that you cannot keep the video recorded?
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it seems like you had done many photos, but I saw that you have the other regular-time video.
The Bullet-Time seems to be like it's just using the swing. You could attach any other 360º camera and you'll have it.
BONUS: To make the º symbol, hold Alt with any of your left hand fingers. Type 1, 6, 7, on your numeric pad on your keyboard. Release the Alt key. Voilá "360º"!
I need to legit get this for cycling for safety. Thought about previously getting two gopros; one on the back and one on the front, but this would probably work better.
Nice review Justine! I wish the image quality was as good as some of it's competitors.. It is pretty decent and does have good software comparatively though...Easiest to use for sure. My fave semi-affordable ones are the Madventure/MiSphere for photos (about same price as Insta360) and the GoPro Fusion for video. The Fusion video is very good, but slow to process, software isn't near as easy to use and it's twice the price. BUT...if you want best quality video for under $1000...Fusion is nice. Truthfully, in bright sunlight (like shown here), most of these 360 cams look decent. It's mixed lighting and low lighting where there is a big difference as well as dynamic range.
