    Hi from Romania! I'm very grateful you made this content, heat treatments are not available here, only chemical ones so your info is very appreciated. I'm currently looking into renting construction heating and fans to follow your exact steps. Thank you!!

      Tratamentul termic a funcționat pentru ploșnițe? Și mama iubitului meu se confruntă cu o infestare și nu știm ce să facem.

    Should the mattress and box spring be removed from the bed and set against the wall or just leave it like that?

    How would you heat an entire house? Won’t you just be pushing them out of the room?

    • @jtspiky
      @jtspiky 3 роки тому

      No, usually they get lethargic as the temp rises. They don't necessarily try to flee the heat.

    • @sensimania

      He said in another video that if you heat the room up gradually, they won't "flee" because they won't realise until it's too late.
      But if the room reaches high temperatures too quickly, they're more likely to freak out and flee.

      Yup, thats what happens, once they get into walls, floors, ceilings, etc, they can and will reinfest.

    Does it take awhile for the temp to rise?

      Heat kills them on contact, but to get that heat to reach into every nook and cranny takes along time and is also not likely enough to handle the whole problem.
      If they can get into the walls, inside mattress, into the floors and hence under the floors, it won't get hot enough to kill them b4 heats turned off, and they will quickly migrate back in.
      If u don't throw away your carpeting, pads, box, springs, mattresses, there are sufficient recesses for them to hide and come back.
      This includes taking out drawers, dumping all contents, spraying thoroughly, spraying all surfaces of furniture inside and out, upside down and all around.
      You don't need expensive sprays since alcohol kills them on contact, but the thoroughness of the process is unforgiving, if you properly spray everything thoroughly and prevent them from migrating into the wall, floors, etc, you don't really need the heat.
      Heat is thorough for diect contact, but if they can get into walls and floors and insulated hide holes, they will migrate to other parts of your home, if in appts or connected condos, this means they will spread to other units, then forget it.
      They don't want to e far from their food source- YOU- but Heat will drive them far enough away for safety , then they will come back quickly.
      Its gonna be a process, but is not gonna be a quick thing.

    And this equipment doesn’t ruin electronics in the room? Just wanna know if I should move my computer tower and monitor.

      Its possible to damage some of your electronics, as well as blinds held together with glues, and any thing else that can get affected by extreme heat.
      I dont feel that room was prepared nearly well enough.

    What kind of fans and heater are you using?

    • @chimneygeorge
      @chimneygeorge Рік тому

      Call heaters just for this project, they cost a couple thousand and you will need to do all rooms to make sure one by one. But if you drive them into the walls, through outlets, ceilings, through fans, lights, floors through baseboards, floor crevices, deep inside box springs, behind pictures, tapestries, they will hide and come back.
      Heat gets most, but some will get away and quickly reinvest.
      You have to put special covers on your box springs and mattresses unless u throw ALL your stuff away, they will hitchhike on your clothes into your vehicles, and can migrate their way back in same way.

    Apparently they're not answering any questions. Pretty vague description and temp that needs to be reached. Hotter than 70 degrees? No kidding,it takes at least 113 degrees. And no mention of insulating anything,ie ac vents or glass doors or windows.
