Jimmy Aking being dyslexic is the most impressive thing that this episode has. Being synesthetic… Now I’m jealous.

Please make your advice on learning how to interact with a person who has a different “cognitive style” a short vid so it can be shared! You are so good explaining things with clarity. You make things unmysterious!

Hello, I have heard that we will all die. In the Apostles Creed it says he will come again to judge the living and the dead. If we all die, who will be the living? Thanks

Genesis 2:16 KJV "And the LORD GOD commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the Garden (Eden) you may freely eat (the Tree of LIFE)
17 but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die.
Romans 5:12 KJV Therefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Ephesians 2:4 KJV But GOD, Who is rich in mercy, for HIS great love wherewith HE loved us, 5 even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us (made true believers spiritually alive) together with CHRIST, by grace you are saved
8 For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of GOD: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast."

Respectfully I submit-as a neurodivergent person, why is it always the person who already is struggling in the world always the one who has to bend ? Maybe if the world could learn how to bend to us a little and learn some new things about we communicate, we’d all be better off, and more compassionate and empathetic people as a result. 😌
It’s not easy for us to simply “be” & mask our normal for others’ normal is confusing and exhausting. 😢

Christ calls us to take up our cross and follow him. Perhaps your struggle is the way that Jesus is calling you to follow him. That said, the rest of us should be much more charitable toward people who struggle.

true…however until just a few decades ago people like my son would have been institutionalized and treated horribly and abused, when all that’s needed is learning to listen, and value them, to be patient and open to their own unique gifts God gave them. He’s thought of as super disabled bc he doesn’t communicate through words, but thru his art. How others react to him has caused unthinkable challenges and trauma to our family. Locked in a room in elementary school etc.
It may be his cross to bear, but if we change our response to them and simply love them where they’re at it changes them. It is changing bc we’ve had to advocate-tho very slowly. Thank you.

the biggest problem i have with roman catholicism, is that it rejects Christ's death on the cross as sufficient for salvation. it tries to establish the roman catholic church as a means of partial salvation through the mass/eucharist.

The Passion of Our Lord is sufficient. The Sacrifice of the Mass is the same sacrifice as Lord Jesus, being God is not bound by time.
Christ established the Eucharist at the Last Supper saying that the Bread is His Body and the Wine is His Blood as a fulfillment of the Passover and also the Manna and the Bread of the Presence. Our Blessed Lord Himself also said that unless we eat His Flesh and drink His Blood we do not have life in us. And He did not say it was symbolic and did not do so even when many of His disciples left and asked the Apostles if they would also leave rather than as Our Lord had at other times told them of hidden meanings when away from the crowds, so it was no parable or figurative language.

That's an incorrect understanding. The Catholic church teaches that christ sacrificed himself once and for all. You see, the sacrifice wasn't done on calvary it was done at the last supper. When he spoke those words, this is my body, and this is my blood of the new and everlasting covenant, he put himself as the pascal lamb that jews had sacraficed each year in remembrance of the sacrafice in Egypt that was the old covenant sacrafice. The cross was the fulfillment of that saceafice. That's why when Jesus said it was finished, it was because he had finished the last cup of the pascal sacrafice. He said this right after drinking the wine with sponge and the hyssop branch. This was the same branch that was used to put the blood above the doors in Egypt. You see, to anyone passing by Christ's crucifixion was just a Roman execution. But because of his pascal sacrifice on holy Thursday, good friday became more than just an execution. Jesus offered himself up to the father on Thursday, and if you read in the book of revalation, that sacrafice is being offered to the father eternally. So it is one sacrafice. What the mass does is allow us to enter into that sacrafice. Heaven touches earth every mass because we recall the words that Jesus used, "This is my body, This is my blood." In the old sacrafice they did each year, the jews believed that they we recalling it. Not re-sacraficing the lamb but entering into the first sacrifice. This is called a memorial sacrafice. This is what happens at the mass. We don't resacrafice the Lord, but with the words he gave us, we reenter into his one great sacrifice in order to take part in it. This is why Paul said the pascal lamb has been sacraficed. Let us keep the feast. He didn't say let us resacrafice him. He said, "Let us keep THE feast."
Does any of that make sense?
