How did you reconcile praying to Mary?
@@TheGoodAmericans The Jews actually maintained the tradition of praying at the graves of the “tzaddikim” meaning “righteous ones”. They’d ask for their intercession and believed that nothing could separate them in spirit; they were all one body of Jews. Then the Christians continued with this tradition and the Church as a whole approved it. So unless the whole Church was wrong, this Jewish tradition turned Christian is still a holy practice. There are several articles online about the ancient Jewish practice 😊
@@terrystreets4477 odd that in all 73 books of the canon of scripture there is not one instance of praying to anyone other than God. A very wonderful and moving testimony of return to the Catholic faith. Where Mary is, there the true Church is. Where Peter is, there the true Church is. Similarly, I walked away from the Church because I was looking for something better: I never found something better. I got lazy and broke a promise to the priest when my wife and I were married that we would raise our children Catholic. I didn't do that, and I never had them baptized. Seven years ago, I began a journey back to Christianity, first starting out listening to several Protestant evangelists on the radio. I tried the Catholic Channel but they lacked the content I was looking for on their channel. Perhaps it was because all I ever heard was the yuck yuck with the Catholic Guy during my drive time. I wanted to hear the Word of God, not a poor rendition of Abbott and Costello.
Last year, my son enrolled his daughter in the local parish Catholic school. This was a blessing / kick in the pants from the Holy Spirit because I attended daily mass late in the year while on vacation. It started out being a chance to see my granddaughter at Wednesday Mass, and then it became something more. The parish priest is an amazing young man, and a true preacher of the Word of God. This is what I had been missing all of those years, and I found a home; a real home - a spiritual home. I joined the parish late last year, and it's the best decision I could ever have made.
Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ. His tender mercy is boundless. I have a much greater appreciation of the Eucharist than I did when I was young. The Body and Blood of our Savior is present in the Eucharist. With the Eucharist, He is in me, and I am in Him. Sunday morning is truly the highlight of my week.

If people bother to actually study Scripture and the history of Christianity there is simply no way to avoid grappling with the Catholic Church. It is easy to become distracted by the failures of Catholic leaders and people throughout the centuries. People in the Church are not immune to sin! Our focus as Catholics must always be upon the Lord Jesus Christ, King of Endless Glory! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I remember random sinister thoughts one night harassing me that I was 'going to hell' and that I should 'leave the Catholic church'...... I thought it was anxiety or something and yet, I was already a miserable sack... if I left, I'd have nothing left to believe in or hope for, so I rejected the thoughts. It took months for the anxiety to go away after I started praying the Rosary.... just sad that so many probably had these thoughts or feelings and just left...........
Good on you mate for staying with Our Lord and not abandoning Him as many have. You keep praying your rosary and availing yourself of the sacraments and you'll be all good. Those that have left and still live will have to make a choice soon or later to return home. They won't be able to avoid it. God bless you and your family.
That's crazy because I went through the same thing now I pray it every day helps battle evil thoughts
I've never had those thoughts, but I believe that was Satan tempting you. Next to Holy Mass, the Rosary is the best weapon against the Evil One. Keep praying it. Please!
I go through the same thing at random times too. May I refer you to the Saint Michael Prayer as well as your rosary, we say it at Mass to help ward off attacks from the devil. Sometimes I find myself having to "shoo" the thoughts away too. Make sure you go to confession often. The saints were attacked quite often, if you're attacked you must be doing something right. Remember that Jesus said in Mathew 24:13 we must endure until the end, and we shall. God bless you!
Gotta amend what I said earlier. I said that "I've never had those thoughts" thinking you meant only thoughts that you are going to Hell. While I obviously concern myself with avoiding that calamity, I'm not plagued with thoughts of Hell. I am, however, attacked with various blasphemous thoughts, usually when I pray. It's pretty awful, but I keep on praying and shoo away the thoughts as best I can. I know the devil is behind much of that. Only the Lord's strength sustains me.
Mr. Cavins, what a powerful testimony. Thank you for sharing your story. I know that the Catholic Church is always under threat from the devil wanting to take peoples souls away. We must be strong in faith and believe!!!
I found this video kind of at the benefit of the UA-cam algorithm. My wife and I are 'doing' the Bible-in-a-Year. Anyway, what causes me to respond is that my mother grew up in North Dakota, as a Lutheran. During World War II, she went to nurses training at the Mercy Hospital in Valley City. She had her conversion to Catholicism there. By the time she finished her nurses training, the war was over and nurses were returning from the war. She was offered a job at a Mercy Hospital in Oregon, where she met my dad and they raised their flock. I believe that this video and it's message hit me - in part - because Jeff walked in the same places that my mom may have walked decades before.
The Rosary is the weapon for these times!!!
Cradle Catholic here, but was away from any church for many years. Returned to the Catholic Church when my children were born and returned to the sacraments in 2004. God has a plan for us all. So thankful that his plan for Mr. Cavins brought him home. His teaching and inspiration is truly a blessing.

Crazy cool!!!😎 love the truth, joy & Spirit of all of you!!
There were times I have wondered about the Catholic Church. Which is not perfect, as we all know. But the one thing that kept me from even looking else where, was Mary. No other Christian Church honored her for being the Mother of God. Some don't even see her as important at all... and in my brain that was nuts. I mean I am pretty sure Jesus thought she was important. She is His Mom!
So even though I questioned and wondered about this or that. I knew I couldn't be apart of a Church that doesn't see the gift we have in the Mother Jesus gave us all. I'd be lost without her for sure.
So when I figured that much out, I then went on to Saint Peter. Who is the first Pope, and walked with Jesus at his side. Jesus himself made him the first Pope.. who am I to go against Jesus's plan?
Then finally through the help of reuniting fully with my faith. I finally started understanding the Truth behind the Eucharist. I honestly didn't get it, but I do now. Thanks to a talk I listened to from Father Mike Schmitz. Which also now has lead me to the Bible in a Year. I have a reading disability, more so in the comprehension department. I tried often in the past to read the Bible. I didn't get far before my eyes to my brain went cross-eyed. With the Bible in the Year. I don't need to read. I just listen, and after there is a reflection that helps so much! Sometimes I still don't understand always.... but I'm on my 2nd time through, and plan to keep going as long as it keeps going. It has changed my world. I learn more things every time and I know it will keep shaping me as time goes on.
I now volunteer at the Big Basilica down town. I am getting more active and involved, and it brings great Joy....
And I really think I was lead to this part of my life, because I refused to let go of my Rosary and The Blessed Mother. (And Saint Michael, but that's a different story lol)
God works in Amazing ways.. I love hearing all the different ways he pulls us in.
Thank you Mr. Cavins for The Bible in a Year... I thought I'd live my whole life without actually hearing it in full.... Thank you.

@@heathervancalcar4446 God bless you a thousand more.
Jeff Cavin's testimony and books are hidden gems. The road to Emmaus explanation about how Scrpture and The Eucharist go together (not in this video) is amazing. Thank you Jeff!
Bought the book Jeff. Looking forward to reading it. We are starving for discipleship.
Thank you for your Bible studies and UA-cam. It matters.
Jeff is a great teacher!

22 years ago I converted back to Catholic faith from Protestantism…
So frustrating....I hate the scandals and I hate the nonsense in the church and corruption and the divisions and the fake "Catholic" schools and the AWFUL singing ....but DAMN I know I can't leave because of the history and the Eucharist (and I see the shroud of Turin in my mind and the research into that )..I can't leave 🤷...where would I go?
Don’t leave. Stay and help us pray the problems away. Don’t be like the disciples who no longer followed Jesus after His explanation of the Eucharist in John 6:63-6:66.
Who doesn't have problems? In our own family, either husband, children are alcoholics .Do we not help them. So pray to God and He will bring about healing in His time.
I hear you😔it’s really hard. If I may…..John 6:68 “Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Set your eyes on the crucifix and don’t leave His church. Pray the Holy Rosary and meditate on the sorrowful mystery the Blessed Mother will intercede for you. God bless!
Well, Jesus had a Judas..... even in the Catholic church where SINNERS go to become Saints..... there are going to be Judas'.......if your church is perfect with no sinners and no problems, something is wrong...... Though I do love my FSSP traditional latin mass with the organ, choirs, and reverance... maybe you should check it out if you're tired of novus ordo. But keep in mind that novus ordo is still valid.
As Peter told Jesus in the Bread of Life discourse (John 6), “but to whom shall we go, you have the words of everlasting life.” I can’t abandon Jesus, the one, true source of everlasting life…
Happy Easter everyone
I'm glad I found you guys. Great video with Jeff Cavins. It made me laugh and I got teary eyed.

Praise be to God!!!!! I love hearing stories like yours. I tell people about the rosary a lot. And how and why we pray it with such devotion. I say you can start with just one Hail Mary and you will be amazed at how much closer she pulls you to her Son. So if you “don’t” want to be very very close friends with Jesus just don’t say it. I don’t know about you but I’m best friends with Him all because I trust in our mothers intersection. God Bless

Welcome home
I was Protestant for 55 years until Jesus Christ showed me the false teachings of my church. He kept leading me towards Catholicism but I said I couldn't. He showed me why it was biblical and His Church. This May, I will have my third anniversary of my confirmation into the Catholic Church. Deo gratias.
So incredible, welcome home!!
God bless you. Being an original Christian Catholic is truly amazing.
Great Story Jeff !!! Sure liked what you and Fr Mike did in the production of Bible in a Year ...

Excellent performance Gentleman for TRUTH-JESUS CHRIST and HOLY SPIRIT!
my simple understanding of Catholicism is that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, and he said "I didn't come to change the law but to fulfill it".Obviously he didn't start a new religion but started the continuation of Judaism under the new covenant of his salvation for whole mankind. His first followers were all Jews and they started this new covenant Judaism in their respective synagogues of Jerusalem, Damascus, Antioch, Rome, Corinth, Smyrna etc. with the basic tradition like tabernacle, alter, menohra, priesthood etc. intact which can still be found only in the Catholic Church. This simple historical facts simply suggest that the church Jesus established under the stewardship of Peter is the Catholic Church.
why doesn`t trinity is written in bible,.
@@lufhopespeacefully2037 of course it is there but in the form of zigsaw puzzle like other issues such pope, virgin Mary, if you read the Bible and think like a first century jew you will find it easily. Simplest anology is Jesus is the word of God the father from beginning, became man the son while walk on earth, after ascension became the holy Spirit and will remain with us as holy Spirit till he comes back.
with my utmost respect to u trinity is an old worshipping for some of an ancient egyptians who were worshipped ecice ,authorice&hurce folowing from above, the church had abducted the notion&applied it after about 2 centuries of jesus`s dead, peace
actually turah&bible were from god but they had been corrupted afterwards as a result god sent down quran upon prophet muhammed&god said i`ll preserved the quran thereby god had fulfilled ,let me show u friendly&honestly the truth, okee dokee.sheding the light on christianity to know the truth first of all there is no original bible the 4 main bible are contradicted to each other yet there is 1 quran but who is the writer of bible the answer is paul the jewish who hates jesus let us discuss about the significant event which is crucifixion why does your claimed god left his only son to crucify without any sin he had committed the disaster reached its uttermost when u found bible said on the tongue of jesus my god my god why do u forsaken me means jesus never crucified willingly have u an idea why do they crucify jesus because it`s a penalty of impure &particularly crucifixion because dindn`t touched the earth make it impured that what paul said jeasus get impure for us &see the authentic god what does said in quran chapter 3 verse 55 by the name of god the most gracious&most merciful ,
O Jesus, I will take you and raise you up to me, and purify you from those who disbelieve, and He will place those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection, then to Me is your return, so I will judge between you regarding that in which you differed, the authentic god rose jesus to the sky before they kill him in addition he had purified him from a false accusation that he is impure, let alone of many verses in the bible incites to violence thus u found the largest massacres had happened in history the ww1&2 christian countries against christian countries 100 millions had been killed not to mention the sex stories in the bible nay u never found a single sex word in quran, don`t take it in personal just i clarify u the plain truth, bible said woman when she during the menstruation she gets impure &any thing she would touched it will be impure &should stay at her room till had done of it don`t see that an insulting to woman &how does the claimed god in bible said so he demeans& underrates his own creatures, yet islam honored the woman &she has a complete chapter its name women show us her rights, let us look at modern medicine which refutes the bible, ovulalation happens every 28 days from overy next month from other ovary when fertilization fails to happen mestrual bleading happens it always stops when a female gets pregnant ,menstrual cycle ovulation the female genital system consists of one uterus to overuse vagine& externat genital organs ,,the blood during menstruation could cause diseases to spread and that’s why a woman during her menstruation needed to isolate so the blood would not be passed around to other people And diseases not be spread that`s what god said in quran and they ask you about menstruation say, isolate women don't come near them untill they get purified verse 222 chapter 2,peace
@Questa Semplice Animazione thank you my friend you are absolutely right, if sola scriptura is false then there cannot be other way around
A testimony of a former Roman Catholic: "After about 7 years of wrestling, I came out of the RCC about 3 months ago. It was an incredibly difficult decision, but I realized I couldn't keep sitting on the fence. I was stuck. Eventually I realized that regardless of whether some of the things the RCC teaches are true or not, if it requires me to commit even one idolatrous act or affirm one thing that is untrue, then I couldn't be a part of it. Something I just realized in the past couple of days is that the RCC has a different Gospel than the one I believe, and I'm not than the one I believe, and I'm not talking about the usual Protestant argument of faith vs works, etc. The RCC teaches that you have to accept all of its dogmas. As I understand the gospel, it is the simple truth that if someone repents of their sin and believes in Jesus they are saved. In effect, the RCC gospel is repent and believe in Jesus, believe in the Immaculate Conception, sinless life, and bodily assumption of Mary, believe that the first Pope was Peter and that there is a successive line of bishops who are infallible, believe in Purgatory and that your own merits and the merits of others can shorten or eliminate your time there, believe that forgiveness is only through a priest, and believe every other part of Cannon Law put forward by the Church. If you don't affirm any one of those beliefs you are anathematized according to the RCC. That's quite the burden if you ask me. It reminds me of the religious leaders in the time of Jesus, who had added so much to the Law that people were being crushed by it. I will pray that you get some clarity because I know what it feels like to be in that state of limbo.
It's like you want to be fully on board and on fire for Christ, but how can you do that if you don't even know what you believe yourself. At least that's how I experienced it. Either way, don't be afraid. If you are seeking with all your heart, God will direct you. Shalom."
Praise God

After studying the Bible, I could never go back to the Catholic church.
or any sunday 'keeping' institution (can't 'keep' what has never been sanctified, blessed, made Holy to begin with).
But i bet you use our text, the Bible…
History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, not only did they not agree but their list of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time. So, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved it by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us, show us, who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?
@@srich7503 Does any of that matter? The Catholic church changed the Ten Commandments. And then violated them. Added rituals and rules which the Bible clearly says you are not to do. And then never advocated the study of the Bible. As a Catholic for half of my life, never once was the Bible mentioned nor encouraged to be read and not one Catholic I know can name one Scripture out of the Bible.
@@serenitypeaceandcomfort3669 As a Catholic??? I doubt that sir!!! If you were a Catholic AT ALL you would have been engulfed in the scriptures at every Mass. Of course ALL that matters. If you do not trust the church in her interpretations of the Holy Scriptures today then how do you know she chose the correct books back then? The fact is you have been duped into believing what you believe and you cannot hide from history no matter how ugly it is, so we Catholics have been told. 👍🏻
@@srich7503 incorrect, i use the Christian Bible without added nonsense (apocrypha) and missing texts, as your 'bible' has.
since you've posted to me, how about you reply to what i posted.
In so many videos from catholics, all I hear is how great the catholic church is, very little about Jesus. I hear more about Mary, than Jesus. In protestant churches, they only use the bible and worship Jesus. The catholic church seems to have a lot of distractions (rosaries, Mary, indulgences, adorations of objects, rituals of various types), non of which is spreading the word of Jesus to the lost. Try spreading the word of Jesus, not an infatuation with the catholic church.
You know nothing about the Catholic Church. If you listen to Catholic UA-cam, what you will hear the most is the Holy Eucharist. The Holy Eucharist is the body and blood of Jesus, that is the highest
Talking about Mary, mother of Jesus is not distraction. The Blessed Virgin Mary is our mother and works together with Jesus. Jesus established the Catholic church and we love Jesus. Evangelicals just worship the Bible and minimally talk about Jesus. Do you and Evangelicals remember Lent? Do you care or remember about the suffering and death of Jesus Christ? Do you remember or commemorate Holy, Good Friday or Easter? Of course not. If so, how?
You have a very narrow understanding of Jesus and you worship the Bible. Jesus and the Virgin Mary are not in competition. Jesus and the Saints are not in competition, they all work together and lead us to Jesus Christ
The Catholic Church comes before the Bible. Jesus established the Catholic church and the Catholic church is the mystical body of Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church owns the Bible and compiled the Bible 8n the end of the 4th century. Without the Catholic Church, there is no Christianity, no Bible. The Catholic Church does evangelization all over the world every day, our method is different because we don't go about harassing people like heretics do. What do you know about Jesus? How can you know Jesus and hate the mother of Jesus?
John G. Peace be with you. That is because the Catholic church is the true, wholesome 'Body of Christ' that he initiated on the 'Rock' called Peter. So when the devoted Catholics talk about the church it is implied that they are talking about Jesus. Also, the Bible that you referred to....wouldn't be in place if not for the Catholic church. A gentle reminder that in the Gospel people were healed by touching the robes of Jesus, and the handkerchiefs used by Paul healed people. Holiness is contagious and God can impart His grace through sacramentals too. These are not distractions. Rather consider them as arsenals in our fight against evil. Just like you need coaching, good facilities, good nutrition, and good rest to become a champion athlete all these spiritual gifts keep us focussed on the 'lamb of God', Jesus Christ. The Rosary is the entire new testament. It is a tool to meditate upon the important incidents in the life of our savior. Everything in the Catholic church points towards Jesus. God bless.
We put so much “emphasis” in the church because it is Jesus. 🤭
The beginning of my conversation was due to Protestant preaching on radios and TV… and then Gods grace lead me to Catholic few years later where the fullness of faith and mass and sacrements were available. As well as the dogmatic teaching on our Lady most holy.
Praise God!
Yes sir Chuck, I love all my fellow believers who are Christ followers. It is not about religion it is about a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ
true but he also established the church and gave us commandments to follow. cant really have a relationship with a guy you claim to love yet disobey his commandments and ignore his teachings lol.
I guess Preist can bless same sex marriage and Homosexual unions now. I wonder when the God of Abraham changed his mind? Thank you Jesus Christ for Sola Scriptura and the Reformation
same as He changed His mind on Ex 20:4-6 and 8-11. i suppose those are now optional for this 'church'.
"I have been doing it!" 😂😂😂 I laughed so hard but I soo love that. Haaaaail, Kecharitomene!!
I love that book- Evangelical is not Enough. So good!
I long, with a sure hope, for that glorious moment in time when the body of Christ will worship God in the fulness of spirit and truth. On that day we will all be Catholic. United as one loving family in answer to the prayer of Jesus himself that we all should be united in love to the glory of the Father, The Son , and the Holy Spirit. Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty, who was, who is, and who is to come.
Marcus Grodi and Scott Hahn, why am I not surprised?
We are never called to publicly attack fellow believers. It is ungodly, and in direct violation of Matthew 18:15-20. Just before the Son of God returned to heaven, he gave us one last commandment. It is found in John, 13:34. It is NOT loving to publicly attack others and become an offence to a third of the world's Christians. From a fellow protestant Christian.
I was done the RCC 45 years ago.
There is no service without the Eucharist, the Transubstantiation of bread and wine is where all the difference is.
I am dumbfounded and never will understand how you left your flock from what you called
being a Non-denominational Minister from MN after 7 years! To this day I have never sat under
such a powerfully anointed man of God who could teach and where I literally felt like I was
listening to Jesus speak. Especially your Lazarus sermon, I thought I was right there seeing
Jesus call Lazarus fourth out of the tomb, it was just so powerful. I have married a man of
God that was raised Roman Catholic but he for whatever reasons (besides how mean the
nuns were to him) says he will never step foot into the Catholic church ever again. He says
something about the people being lied to and they're not being told the truth. I have met a few
lady friends from the church I started going to after you abandoned us in MN where they all
refer to themselves as recovering Catholics! There is surly something rotten in Denmark
somewhere. That's neither here nor there, all I wish is that the Father Bless you Jeff and

You should read The Letter to Jeremiah it's strong condemnation of lot of Catholic pageantry in worship last chapter of Baruch and it's one of extra books in Catholic Bible
Psalm 86 “ 12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.”
Has God saved you from Hell? Make sure!

Is Faith apart from works dead?
An analogy of faith and works:
Hi folks, we often hear the reformation was grounded in the doctrine primarily of "Salvation is by faith alone". Consider an analogy: how one's path in life is related to salvation?
My loving father wanted to save me from the hard physical life that he endured, as a labourer and tradesman.
"In my youth, I was urged to enrol in a University degree courtesy of a significant monetary gift from my parents (one I never earned)
The orientation and initiation ceremony was what one might compare with being "born again". My initial feelings of elation was "hey I have made it, I now belong here".
Unfortunately over the next 4 years maintaining that faith in my own ability and wanting to live up to my parents expectations took a lot of hard work. Faith alone would not have achieve much at all!. I was "being saved" from a hard life knowing I must not falter or lose the gift I never earned. I am extremely grateful to my lecturers for breaking open the words I needed to understand. Without inspired leaders I would never have been able to make or achieve the results I needed for success.
When I finally graduated I felt I had justified the faith my mentors had placed in me. But would mere faith alone bring the career, lifestyle and rewards that only hardwork can? Every day I faced many challenges knowing that I must remain on task, hold fast to what I was taught in the beginning and throughout my journey.
So to succeed I knew I had to just keep the faith, run my race and perservere to the very end . After 38 years as a senior analyst I can now retire and claim my reward like Paul. (cf. 2 Tim 4)
In conclusion, there was a number of ACCUMULATIVE (not mutually exclusive) factors that contributed to a successful life as a spouse, parent and senior analyst. I would never claim that they individually or ALONE would have got me to where I am now. It would be a total misuse of the word. "Sola" which implies exclusivity, independence or in solitude.
Ergo, in the context of salvation and satisfaction in life, the term "Sola...." is a total misuse of the word. What is needed is a complimentary term to reflect how all these inter-dependent factors work together.(1 Cor 3:9) . A Latin word like "simul", or in Greek, "groppo" would be infinitely more appropriate. Mazi Fide, Lectura, Endura etc. Get it!!
Excellent contribution! Thank you for that.
Glory be to God!!!!Deus Vult!
I'd known people who left Evangelical Protestant for Atheism
It's not just Catholics who are falling away
I truly believe that this is the true faith. I also believe it is under unprecedented attack from within and without. We will triumph and become a more perfect reflection of God than ever before, including the firey first days, but there can be no resurrection without the crucifixion and we haven't seen the worst of it yet.
When people are in the wrong spirit, there is no use talking to them-they are distractions from the Enemy. They deflect from the real answer by their questions, which are setups in the wrong direction-do not be deceived by them, while praying for them. If Allowed. At times, God will not Allow us to Pray for a bedeviled one! "I do not say that you should pray for such an one"/"For that I say not that any man should ask"-1 John 5:16-!
You are in the right place at the right time. #Catholic Church# God bless you sir.

Mr Cavins…I have been a part of a couple of your Bible studies, and they are truly amazing. I’m having trouble because of all of the changes happening in our Church. A lot of the Clergy prefer to go against the laws of God, because they are afraid the truth will make people leave the church.
As Catholic Christians, today, more than ever, we have to know what we believe. Yes, indeed, we have to re-discover and learn the GOSPEL and the person of JESUS-CHRIST ! We have to clean our FAITH from all useless and false things that the world introduced in our minds! Let's be focus on FAITH, HOPE and CHARITY/LOVE and the teachings of the HOLY CHURCH
catholicism isn't Christianity, friend. Bible is clear about this.
I was born Catholic. Mom, dad, Family Catholic baptized as a Child Catholic. Age of 13 time became a Christian at age of 33 baptized Baptist. Came back to Catholicism love Jesus i just Cannot find it in me to Worship Mary. I respect her!! Respect the Saints but i cannot comfortably do the Rosary i need Jesus!! Is that wrong??
✨🙏🏼✨
why doesn`t trinity had written in bible
someone wrote : "Bible does not teach "saved by sacraments". Works cannot save you."
Yet, all the GOSPEL, JESUS-CHRIST call to WORK for HIM and to worship him (JOHN chapter 13).
Yes, indeed, we become disciple of JESUS-CHRIST with our works !
It would be nice to know exactly which men he meant by "the early church fathers," whose devotion to the papacy and the sacraments and the Blessed Mother and the infallible authority of tradition, convinced him to return to Catholicism.
In this episode of Things That Never Happened.
Human beings have always wanted and tried to save themselves from their own sins and earn their own eternal salvation. It is part of our sinful nature to do so. But there is no amount of human good works that could ever satisfy the demands of perfect holiness before YHWH because we “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). But Jesus, The Christ, was SINLESS and He satisfied all the demands of perfect righteousness. So He shed His own blood and died for our sins in order to redeem us. Then He rose from the dead and victoriously offered that glorious gift of eternal life to anyone and everyone who believes in Him and His promise to give us this gift. Hallelujah, What a Savior!! AND NOW we are FREE in Christ - at LIBERTY to LOVE OTHERS!
Shalom
