how to gear up fast when hitting cp160.

Don’t underestimate the importance of discipline in mount training or item research. I’ve met plenty of groaning players in mid or high play who wish they weren’t slower on their mounts than their PVP friends, who wish they could craft all the gear they need but have few traits at all, etc. You don’t even have to go out of your way; just train riding or research when you notice you’re in the area and it’ll add up quickly.

Make sure all your enchantments are maxed out. Bumping up from purple to gold enchantments can help a lot.

Biggest problem with guides for this game is they go: "Here's a Best-in-Slot build that requires Trial / Veteran Arena gear. Look how great it is for doing normal dungeon content!"
When they should go: Here's a build that you can buy gear for to run normal group content; here's a build that you can get from small group content; here's the best-in-slot. With a clear progression.

lol. I saw the title and said..."I'm probably towards mid game soon, I need to watch this!" I'm like level 22. I didnt' understand a damn thing he said after 3 mins XD. Turns out I'm not really close to mid game... I barely know what I'm doing at all but, I'm starting to get certain things here and there...

You nailed it with dps and proc sets. So many people in our guild have asked why aren’t they doing good damage with these meta crit builds. I will add also that these builds are very dependent on group comp for sustain and buffs like empower and force. And with most new players pigging dungeons you don’t really get what you want out of it.

I finally know what I’m doing 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I started as a templar and now level 46. I finally have a good rotation / build, and just finished my first dlc dungeon!!! Even at one point we lost 2 teammates at the final boss and my teammate was like…. how’s ur dps, I can tank? I was like uhhh I think i’m good. Then we beat it. Holy shit.

My stamplar is dealing great damage but mostly single target. I'm great as long as there arent a ton of adds to kill. Once you get the rotation down and gear up your numbers will be on point. Make sure to work up alchemy for poisons if you're stamina

  • @patthehorse

As a solo player, who spams unstable wall. I blow it up when the area is full of ads for lots of damage and blow it up again to kill them. When I first practiced my rotation, my muscle memory still spamed unstable wall on a single target. That was a big drag on my dps and regen. In solo I get 1500 magicka back per kill, a target dummy dies once! Eventually.
My guild leader told me to slow down on the dummy and let my dots and aoe's run their course, which was a fight with the muscle memory but with practice I can spam in solo and control the urge on the dummy. Again muscle memory can change. This was my hardest transition from solo to group play.
Thanks for all the useful advice Brah.
P.S He also advised me to only practice rotation on the Khajiit skeleton with 3 million health and not the trial Astronach, which gives all the buffs. This really helps learn your rotation and regen management. Luckily our guild has a few different dummies.

This is a very good video. However, I think that there is an even more important message for you to promote/communicate in a video all by itself. I strongly recommend you produce a video entitled, "SLOW DOWN AND ENJOY THE WORLD". This was an invaluable lesson I've learned from the very beginning, and I'm still applying today as I level-up bit-by-bit (when the game thinks I'm ready to level-up). It truly makes zero-sense to rush through everything like at a breakneck speed just to acquire more and more skill points. There is absolutely no reason to force yourself to level-up like a madman. The game is designed to equalize all your opponents and friends (PVE) regardless of your current skill-level. And if you haven't taken the time to actually master all your skills, then nobody that "has spent the time and effort" mastering their skills wants you playing at the top-tier anyways. So why bother rushing ahead? TAKE THE TIME AND RELAX WHILE YOU MASTER YOUR SKILLS (like Rotation, Movement, Research, Crafting, Scrying, Treasure Hunting, and ESPECIALLY HOW TO PROPERLY WORK WITH A TEAM (how to line-up properly and fight as a team, be it a Tank, Healer or Damage Dealer). Other players will appreciate it.
What's the rush. The game doesn't get any better if you push ahead to the maximums and you haven't put in the time and effort to properly develop all of your mechanical skills, or you've failed to take the time to just walkabout scouring the countryside harvesting materials, or leaning how to build potions and enchantments and such. If you just plow ahead thinking the game will be better if you had "maximum everything" then you are truly missing the entire experience of actually "living" in this virtual environment. The developers and writers have spent many years producing some of the best lore, graphics, environments and storyline you'll ever come across in a game. You will have much more enjoyment just taking your time at whatever level you're at, and actually exploring every single nook and cranny across the country. There are so many intricately hidden aspects to the environment that you can easily just ride right by (or over) and never even see or experience if you are always just rushing from one fight to another.
Rushing ahead means getting to the end and missing 90% of the amazing things the writers and artists have blended into this amazing story and world.
What's the rush? You don't get anything special for getting to the end faster than the next guy. And you can beat anything you come up against anyways, AT ANY LEVEL because the game is designed that way. Obviously this doesn't mean World Bosses or such, but at the lower levels you simply aren't ready for them anyways. Take your time, learn your skills.
Slow down. Breathe the air. Take time to go fishing. RELAX. Explore every tiny corner of every land, all across the countryside. Read at a least some of the books. Watch backstory videos on UA-cam, etc., etc. There is just so much more to this game than just running around killing things.
I encourage you to make a video about this! And speak slowly and softly to avoid getting people pumped with adrenaline all the time. This game can be a slow-paced, stealth game where you can get lost in the amazing storyline and imagery, "if you slow down and explore". The game itself will ramp-up your skill points when "the game" thinks you're ready. When you want more adrenaline-focused action, it's always available at every level. There's simply no benefit at all to rushing through everything.
    Cheers

So, as someone kind of new to ESO but with extensive endgame experience in another MMO, I am also looking to get into mid/endgame in ESO soon. That being said, I love your channel and your tips and builds and guides have been invaluable to get over the hurdle of the the barrier to entry on this game, but I do think the tip about not worrying about passives until later kind of misses the mark. I think seeing how they expand a build and class as you level is important to growing rather than just throwing them all on later. It's important to understand that sometimes the thing that makes you stronger isn't a flashy new skill on the bar.
Also, I dont want to be that guy, but you mentioned the DK in this vid is a build you are working on and mention having Caltrops for Major Breach, but Noxious Breath applies major breach also. So that might free up a spot. 😀👍

I'm learning to play as a necromancer. I'm khajiit and it seems to hit way harder than my original character that was a breton templar. I have some hits with sword that is 22k and around that. My templar cp 790 or so never hit that hard I don't think. I did researching on original tool and now am playing around with different traits on crafted armor and weapons.

The PVE content in ESO is unbelievably easy tbh. Anyone who has prior MMO experience will breeze thru most, if not all vet trials/dungeons since the mechanics are usually self-explanatory.

The first thing I try to do when I get new toons back to CP lvls is get myself an extra Ring of the Wild Hunt on them. Other mythics can wait, I can use monster helm sets for more serious content but I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT MY COCAINE..........also seems fun to try and get the new grisly gourmet armor set and maybe drop a trail of sweetrolls on my path of destruction.
