This is one thing XPlane11 does so well, the views , no text editing needed, why did MS make it so clunky like FSX! A question - since the wingview camera is OUTSIDE that means when we use wingview we will hear EXTERNAL engine and environmental sounds? It will not be realistic in-cabin internal sounds? I cannot wait to get MSFS, I dont even own it yet because my PC is too weak but I really enjoyed your video! Your presentation is very good, keep up the good work. No 10 min dubstep intro, no silly loud music, straight into the subject matter...a rare thing! Subbed! :-)

I have wing views. Everyone does. The new 3 screens need another adjustment because I can see my wings in my front windshield. I call it "Tow-In" like wheels on a car. The side views suck. And things look better if you position yourself in the middle. BUT most planes you sit to the left and when you do that the right side destorts. They need more work on the side views.
Pure genius! Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure this out for a while now, as I have X-PLANE 11.. And I am quite used to these wing views and I have really missed not having them in the new Sim..👍

Hey Steve, correct! You can even set up the individual values to lower numbers (eg: -2 or 1). As long as the value gets you outside the confines of the aircraft fuselage, you're good!
Thanks very much your video was very helpful. I am just curious how you are able to move your cockpit view so the camera is behaind the seats. When I use the mouse scroll wheel or the arrow keys it only moved to the end the the pedestal in the center of the cockpit.
First of all - absolutely great tutorial! Same procedure was possible on X-Plane 11, so I was quite familiar with the steps, even though I needed to find out the correct path of FBW A320 (not community folder :) ). One simple question: Is there any way to "enable" the outside sound? In fact that your settings are all customized cockpit views, everything sounds like from the inside.
Thank you so much for watching mate, unfortunately, I don't really think there's any way to enable the outside sounds since using this technique essentially gets rid of cockpit walls for you to move out of it. The wing sounds are pretty accurate though, but not on the outside from what I remember :( Nevertheless, for more such high quality flight sim and aviation related content, do be sure to leave a like and subscribe to the channel. Great video Could you use your hat switch to toggle through cameras in one direction . Or would the sim only see 4 seperate assignments on the hat switch?
Is there a reply option to watch your landing in this program I never found it I like to review my landing from external views.... Is there a video somewhere?
Kinda confused, I created the custom view "6" in the sim. But the "Title ="6" doesn't show up anywhere in the camera cfg. All the titles have names like title ="Pilot", etc. I know this video is 2 years old, so im guessing Asobo switched things up. **Edit: The workaround for me was since I couldn't find the correct title name for my custom view. I edited the Xyz section of title ="Pilot" portion of the camera.cfg just like in this tutorial (default cockpit view when you load the aircraft in MSFS). Then loaded MSFS, created and saved it as a custom view where I wanted it to be. Then re-opened the camera.cfg and put back the default values of the title ="Pilot" portion and saved. Now when I load the aircraft again in MSFS I hit the custom view key and it loads it! Although there was a workaround, I wouldnt have figured it out without this tutorial. Thanks!
Thanks! I had the same issue with the 310, even though the first time I set views up in the 320neo they worked just like the video, but after I went back to try it again on the 320 when it wasn't working on the 310, I had the same issue with the 320 lol...
So you only need to do this ONCE for Title = 6? Then, if you want to set 1) Under-carriage view, 2) Tail View, 3) Left-Wing View, and 4) Right-Wing View, you do this just by moving the new 'outside camera' (Title = 6) to where you want then simply use F7, F8 & F9 to set them, rather than editing Title = 7, Title = 8, Title = 9, etc...?
Hey there, thanks for watching and apologies for the delay in response. YES, this only needs to be done once. Hey there HyperFS, thanks for watching. As of now, I don't think there is anyway for you to scroll between all the views by simply using 1 or 2 keys. However, the technique that I have specified in this tutorial is pretty simple as is. It only requires a few buttons that you need to cycle through and you can setup as few or as many custom views as you want - as long as you have less than 10 views set-up. Sorry about that. Hope you still found the video informative. If you did, please consider giving it a like and maybe subscribing to the channel:)
Thanks! I am late to the msfs2020 show (although I bought it on release day 2 years ago and didn't like it), but with the new good planes these past 2 months and better performance xp11 unfortunately despite my 40 plus payware aircraft had to go. But wing views are a must... Thanks!
Hi I’ve I’m new to the flight simulator I’ve got thurstmaster controls for it but the problem with I got is with camera first my cockpit point camera view is too high touch the roof of the plane second it the camera in cockpit just drifting it’s self please can you help me fixing it
The isssue with this is that when your actually flying the aircraft and let’s say it’s turning right, it messes up your camera view by repositioning. Any ideas how to actually stay steady at the camera view without having this issue? Thanks for this tutorial
@@FlyBySimulations not really sure about what setting I’m looking for tbh. It kinda makes sense why it’s happening. Wish I knew a fix for this issue although I’m not complaining I’m flying a 737-900er which gives plenty of cameras but you know. I thought I should ask in case you’ve came across this issue before

The problem OR challenge is - on external custom views like how you created, when you go external, you don't hear externally - you're hearing as if you're still inside the plane. Any way to address that?
12:10 HOw do you "move around" the flight deck? What is the name of the keybinds which are set these movements? And the saving itself does not working for me.
Hey there, no it shouldn't interfere with those key bindings. As long as you have the ATC responding buttons configured to different buttons on your keyboard, it shouldn't be a problem:)

Hello , thank you for your beautiful videos.. I tried it and it works .. but I have an issue hopefully you can help me .. after I saved a custom view ( engine view outside ) every time I’m in the flight deck and i click on the arrow on the t16000 it goes to the engine view custom what can I do ?
Hi One further question I configured my views and changed my cfg like yours. I don't seem to be able to go through the air frame and I am limited as to how far I can move back and fourth? Am I missing something. Thanks man.
Hey there, my specs are given down in the description section of the video. Maybe the reason I'm able to pan so smoothly is because I'm not on full ultra settings. It's a mix between medium, high end as well as ultra settings. Furthermore, when watching the compressed/processed video on UA-cam, it sure looks a lot smoother than it is in person, so take whatever you see on UA-cam with a grain of salt. I am planning to do a full settings/tweak guide for MSFS 2020 as well. Would you be interested in something like that by any chance?
@@FlyBySimulations Hey. Thanks a lot for the answer. That attitude is really humble and honest, thanks for the advice, will definitely watch my step about believing youtube videos. And for sure I'd be totally into checking that full setting/tweak guide. I ve been entertaining the idea of upgrading to the 5800x but don't know if spending 450-500£ plus another cooling fan without solid results
I set up 9 different views in the cockpit and when I toggle from the cockpit view to any of the other 8 different views , it doesn't toggle back to the cockpit view but it toggles to a copilot view slightly high any thoughts on what I should do thank you

can you show us your setting ? i have the same graphic card as you but somehow I have some lags
Hey there Mathieu, I'm planning to create a full settings guide for the sim. Still trying to work out a few kinks within the sim before publishing that video but it should be coming very soon:) Thanks for the support:)
Great Video ! Thanks for sharing this info !!

Great tutorial, is there any way to do this and still see the pilot in the cockpit?
Could you please do the same video BUT for button setup using the TM16000 FCS. I.E. JOYSTICK, THROTTLE (includes rudder pedals).
Is there anyway to toggle them , eg . Scroll through all of them using 1 or 2 keys ?
Hey there HyperFS, thanks for watching. As of now, I don't think there is anyway for you to scroll between all the views by simply using 1 or 2 keys. However, the technique that I have specified in this tutorial is pretty simple as is. It only requires a few buttons that you need to cycle through and you can setup as few or as many custom views as you want - as long as you have less than 10 views set-up. Sorry about that. Hope you still found the video informative. If you did, please consider giving it a like and maybe subscribing to the channel:)
@@FlyBySimulations already have done , still a great video I was just wondering that’s all . Thanks for responding 😊
@@Hyperr0209 No worries at all and thank you so much for supporting the channel. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of any more help😊
Please share your setting for the joystick and the throttle
Thanks! I am late to the msfs2020 show (although I bought it on release day 2 years ago and didn't like it), but with the new good planes these past 2 months and better performance xp11 unfortunately despite my 40 plus payware aircraft had to go. But wing views are a must... Thanks!
do you have to setup new camera views for different types of aircraft?
Hi I’ve I’m new to the flight simulator I’ve got thurstmaster controls for it but the problem with I got is with camera first my cockpit point camera view is too high touch the roof of the plane second it the camera in cockpit just drifting it’s self please can you help me fixing it
The isssue with this is that when your actually flying the aircraft and let’s say it’s turning right, it messes up your camera view by repositioning. Any ideas how to actually stay steady at the camera view without having this issue? Thanks for this tutorial
Hmm, that never tends to happen to me mate. Do you perhaps have some other setting turned on that might be messing with the camera systems?
@@FlyBySimulations not really sure about what setting I’m looking for tbh. It kinda makes sense why it’s happening. Wish I knew a fix for this issue although I’m not complaining I’m flying a 737-900er which gives plenty of cameras but you know. I thought I should ask in case you’ve came across this issue before
Thanks! Just what I needed

Good video. Do you an idea to change views for CJ4? thanks
The problem OR challenge is - on external custom views like how you created, when you go external, you don't hear externally - you're hearing as if you're still inside the plane. Any way to address that?
12:10 HOw do you "move around" the flight deck? What is the name of the keybinds which are set these movements?
And the saving itself does not working for me.
another question, if we program for numbers say 1-4, does this interfere with responding to atc with the keyboard. seems like a conflict.
Hey there, no it shouldn't interfere with those key bindings. As long as you have the ATC responding buttons configured to different buttons on your keyboard, it shouldn't be a problem:)
Excellent tutorial, thank you! Subbed :)
Thank you so much! Glad you found it helpful:)
what about the Microsoft version, I have other file paths and names then the one you shown.
Nice, it's work! Thanks.
Glad to hear Murat! Nevertheless, if you enjoyed the content in the video and wish to support a small channel like mine, please be sure to leave a like and subscribe to the channel for more such videos :)
How do I move the camera outside ? I can only move up down left right with arrow keys. Forward backward is done how ?
Hello , thank you for your beautiful videos.. I tried it and it works .. but I have an issue hopefully you can help me .. after I saved a custom view ( engine view outside ) every time I’m in the flight deck and i click on the arrow on the t16000 it goes to the engine view custom what can I do ?
Hi One further question I configured my views and changed my cfg like yours. I don't seem to be able to go through the air frame and I am limited as to how far I can move back and fourth? Am I missing something. Thanks man.
I do not have Simobjects folder. There is one in each aircraft folder with camera.cfg file in each.
What in the world are your specs? It pans around so smoothly. I'm in Ultra, 1080p, 3900x 2080Ti and can't pan that smoothly
Thanx a million does it work for all li liveries or do u have to do this for evey livery?? Thanx
This technique is aircraft specific- so once you’ve done it for a particular aircraft, it will work for all liveries as well😊
@@FlyBySimulations Thank you so so so much life saver been trying ,,be safe bro
nice tutorial, how does these custom camera views react to different planes. do you have to adjust them for each cockpit.
Thanks James. Yes, unfortunately, the camera views are aircraft-specific so you're going to have to adjust them for each aircraft independently...
I set up 9 different views in the cockpit and when I toggle from the cockpit view to any of the other 8 different views , it doesn't toggle back to the cockpit view but it toggles to a copilot view slightly high any thoughts on what I should do thank you
Thank you so much! I subbed!
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed!
Muchas gracias, me sirvió para el Cessna 208B, Saludos desde Chile
