Ah another shading video, saw the cat one! Awesome! This is great too! Wow it gives it light and depth! THANK YOU! I checked out your website & Love your Medina Domestic Arts Studio web site as well! Nice those embroidery stitched patterns are available there (with or without the pencils) to color! Including this chicken and the cat on a previous video.
@@medinadomesticartsstudio that’s fine! I’m excited about using some interesting shading on my project and this is very helpful! Mine won’t be fine art either just improving as I go!!:)
Hi Cathy! Thank you for your kind words! I use Gold Taklon brushes for just about all my fabric painting…. I have them for sale in my website (www.medinadomarts.con) OR you can purchase them from Jerry’s Artarama or Dick Blick’s Art Materials. Stuff bristles work the best!
Hi Peggy! Fabric medium is an acrylic polymer that is needed to set the color into the cotton fibers. Once heat set, it makes the colors washable and permanent. Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions - I love to paint on fabric! ;-)
Hi Connie! I actually make my own fabric medium (scroll through the list of my videos and there is one that walks you through the process of how to make your own fabric medium). If you don't want to make your own nor purchase it from me on my website; I recommend using Delta Ceramcoat Textile Medium which you can get at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!

What material do you use to activate the color?. Thanks for sharing, love your videos
Thank you so much for the kind words! Whenever I use Inktense pencils, I use fabric medium to activate the pencil. Hope this helps!

What is the fabric medium? I’m new to this technique.

Can you do same thing with alive Vera gel?
You can however aloe Vera gel is harder to use in my opinion…. But I always encourage people to give it a try!
What do you use as medium?
