I love that all outdoor lovers (hikers, climbers etc) listen to the same few musical artists, haha. The soundtrack to this could have been lifted straight out of my heavy rotation playlists... choice selection
I thru-hiked the PCT the summer of 2017 with my significant other. What an amazing journey it was. I find myself watching different PCT videos from time to time and waves of emotion wash over me. It was such a life-shaping moment in ours lives. I should be doing homework right now but I can't because I am just stuck reminiscing on that time. Thank you for helping me drift back to that paradise.
My son completed the PCT class of 19 too. He started mid April so you weren’t far behind him. I recognize so many of your awesome pics from his journey. The best part for me, as his mom, was greeting him and his friends at Diamond Lake OR with food, shower, sleep and love and then again at Cascade Locks so he could meet his niece who was born in June and hadn’t met yet... Impressive, beautiful and inspiring. A memory you and we will never forget. Congratulations!
This is such a great film, lots of beautiful shots. I’m planning on attempting to thru hike the PCT in 2024. Can’t wait! It was nice to hear some Lord Huron to, they are my favorite band. :)
This was FUCKING amazing! No lie man. I am getting hype! I'm class of 2019 and start on April 8th. Been homeless for 5 years and this has me STOKED. Cant wait to reach the end and let out that primal scream! Good job once again! M
So crazy, my crew bailed out over Taboose Pass this summer after some gnarly river crossings. So cool seeing the same places in your video with less snow!
OMG - truly spectacular! I actually cried at the end. Getting a taste of what my son (Pickles) experienced this summer is priceless. Thank you for sharing!
I LOVED THIS! It was much needed for me today. I believe we met in the desert and you weren't feeling 100%. I am glad to see you kept going and made it! - Starburst
thanks Starburst, we probably met when I had giardia in the desert. I was going so slowly and all of the passing hikers were so kind and helpful and offered me lots of medicine and good advice, so if one of those people was you thank you!
I saw it through your eyes in these 12 minutes... What you experienced and the fortitude to do it, it will stay with you, always. It was a beautiful video, thank-you for the effort you put into making, editing and presenting it to us.. I didn't even skip the Ad :) I hope you stay enthusiastic... Amazing Video

sony a6300 for most of it, with a 12mm 2.0 and a 35mm 1.8. I used 4 inch tripod for most of the night photos, but I could have also just set on a rock.
Did you think bringing the gimbal was worth the weight for your shots? Im considering bringing one for filming my upcoming thru but Im not sure if I want to take it yet
Beautiful.

What a hero! But what do these people eat and drink in such deserted places?
I mostly hitched into towns every 3-5 days and bought food there. Lots of trail mix, energy bars etc.
This was stunning! Well done and great music choices.

Great video! How did you get permission to publish with the music?
UA-cam lets you publish with copywritten music, you just can't monetize it. Wouldn't want ads on the video anyway.
Sick video, dude. It was cool to meet you early in your hike. I finished two days before the new alternate opened to get to the monument. Nice effort finding a way to get there. Looking forward to more videos from you.
