2024 Sea Doo RXP-X 325 RS Review Top Speed Test

- The world's fastest Jet Ski has been given a major power boost.
The race-bred Sea-Doo RXP-X - and the Sea-Doo RXT-X performance touring model - both received a 325 horsepower boost with a new supercharger and other go-fast parts for the 2024 model year.
This video covers the 2024 Sea-Doo RXP-X 325 RS, which has an unrestricted top speed for the Australian market and is faster than the non-RS model sold in the US.
In this video we go through Australian and US pricing, all the key features, tell you what it’s like to ride - and do acceleration and top speed tests using precision VBox timing equipment.
Key changes for 2024 include a new supercharger, new fuel pump, new electronic control module, new injectors, new air intake, new exhaust manifold and an O2 sensor to more accurately measure the fuel mixture.
The 2024 RXP-X325 also gains the carbon-fibre hood cover and adjustable steering damper set-up that debuted with the 2023 Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 Apex limited edition unveiled by Australian Formula One ace Daniel Ricciardo.
We would like to extend a huge thanks to the team at Lake And Valley Powersports on the NSW Central Coast just north of Sydney - one of Australia's biggest Sea-Doo dealers - who loaned us the Sea-Doo RXP-X 325 RS over two weekends in early 2024 for this test.

Best 325 review so far!
Thanks for your feedback. Very kind. More videos on other skis on the way soon. Thanks again.
Thanks for including the MPH conversion for those of us in the US
Thank you for noticing! We appreciate the note. As we say in the video, given the weight of the rider and the hot conditions on the day, we figure our performance numbers are on the conservative side. But at least they are achievable in adverse conditions. Thanks for watching and for leaving a note. Safe riding!
74 mph is crazy, anything above 60 is scary
We hear you. And that’s straight out of the box!
This was indeed a "proper" evaluation in all respects.
Thanks kindly. We have some more reviews in edit now, so stay tuned! Thanks again for the note.
Great review once again Joshua. Awesome ski A-Z. Feels good on glassy water at 120 km/h. Have been doing distance rides on my 2024 Sea-Doo RXP-X RS 325 Wiseman's to Cowan Creek (Akuna Bay, Apple Tree Bay [Brunch], Jerusalem Bay, etc..). Last ride (3hr/150kms) took an extra 40L fuel. Use a pump for fuel transfer on the pontoon at Akuna Bay visitors ARM B. Lots of play during the 150 km trek. Next max distance trek planning Wisemans to Gosford 73 kms. The ski eats fuel, but you can do the same rides on the 325 like on a non-supercharged ski by just taking more fuel. Peter.
Thanks for the feedback. And for the insight into your real world fuel use. The RXP-X 325 would be awesome on that ride. Extra fuel caddy - using the LINQ system - is a great idea. Also a small portable battery-powered fuel pump to fill the tank is way better than a jiggle hose. Great idea. Enjoy!
Great review! Truly enjoyed the content. Thanks again
You’re welcome! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a note. More videos coming soon.
So impressive.
The 325 in Australia is still speed limited. I added a scom unit to my rxtx325 and get 131kmh top speed
Great review thank you.....would love to see a review of the 2024 1.9ltr Waverunner
Thanks for your feedback. We have one in edit right now on the 2024 Yamaha FXHO 1.9. Coming soon! Thanks again for the note.
Top speed hindered by air temp is my guess - 36* Celsius is HOT!
Thanks for your feedback. We agree those were tough conditions, which is why we made a point to list the high ambient temperature on the day. Plus we have seen slightly higher top speed runs elsewhere on social media, so wanted to be clear about our test conditions on the day. But if this is the worse-case scenario for the RXP-X 325, then it still makes for epic performance.
sorry seadoo newbie here what is the naturally aspirated version of the RXTX called ?
There are a few. GTX 170, Fish Pro Sport 170, Explorer Pro 170 are non-supercharged models based on the same platform as the RXT-X.
Would this make a good first jet ski? 😂. Seriously thoigh migjt get a spark and this together.😊😊
A Sea-Doo RXP and a Sea-Doo Spark would make a great double act.
@@WatercraftZone I plan to cruise and have fun on the sacramento river near red bluff california. Only thing is kinda scared to buy and damage such an expensive ski out there. I figure 2 120hp sparks and maybe upgrade next year once I learn the river and see if i could actually utilize the power.
Fxsvho all day. No replacement for displacement
We hear you. And that’s a good rule of thumb generally. However the numbers don’t like. The Sea-Doo RXP-X 325 accelerates faster and has a higher top speed in our testing. For what it’s worth, we love both skis. We say go with your heart on this one. You can’t lose either way.
What douse he mean by RS?
RS is just the designation SeaDoo uses for (certain) models sold outside the United States.
Thanks for the note. RS is the badge applied to the RXP-X 325 in markets such as Australia where there is no speed limiter required. If you watch the video again we explain it in the first few minutes.
Nice but I’ll stick with a sea doo fish pro
The Fish Pro is a great ski, too. We’ve been running one for about a year now. Compared to the RXP-X, it’s a different ski for a different application.
Yamaha better watch out😂😂
Yamaha is already in the wake.
Still only 3cyl, why not compare to GP1800 instead of FX. When will Seadoo build a proper engine.
"When will the build a proper engine?" Bro they have the most powerful jet ski engine on the market today.
Thanks for the note. The last time we tested a Yamaha GP 1800 SVHO was a few years ago before we started doing VBox numbers. We published the skis we had data for. But don’t worry we will be sure to jump on a GP soon and get some numbers from it.
When will Yamaha build a good looking ski
32k lol
Yeah we know. Welcome to Australia. Our currency is taking a beating against the USD right now.
These colour schemes are terrible
