I've been looking at a few products. I changed out an ignition coil in my Ford Van 5.4 and found some moisture. The mechanic said keep an eye on it so I am. My brother (RIP) was an old,old school mechanic. Bars-leak was the only one I ever heard him talk about but it has been 30+ years. Engines have changed. Technology has improved. I'm going with the k-seal since I have found many glowing recommendations. Fingers crossed. I'll come back and post my results, if I don't forget.
07 Saturn Vue had a radiator leak about 16 months ago. My research seemed to show AC Delco stop leak tablets would work best without clogging system. It sealed the small leak and heater still working great.
I just used k seal advanced on my 07 buick Lucerne, my mechanic said the gasket is done, the car needs to be junked. He pour one in and it started pouring out next to the fan belt, he said sorry man, i said ill park it, get it towed out, by chsnce i let it idle and 5 min later no leak, he was shocked, couple days in and no leaks yet!
I tried the Alumaseal to fix 2 tiny steam holes. Sorry to say the sealant only worked for a few days. Also my heater stopped working a week or so later. I can't swear it was Alumaseal, but if not it was quite a coincidence. The holes are small but near the top front of the radiator. I can see the little Aluminum dust on the radiator where the steam hole points. I fear the amount of sheer volume of aluminum in The can might have easily plugged up the 3/8 inch hot water pipes for my interior radiator. But if it did that it should have easily closed the steam hole leak. Ugh. I should have tried the Kseal instead. Way less volume. Nothing against Bars
@@keilane6770 yes it actually did but I still had to replace it because a former friend thought he knew what he was doing and busted my radiator anyway... No longer a friend.. 😂 but it did work...
I'm confused, I got on an auto site for my car and everyone is condemning the stop leaks saying they 'gum up' your coolant system and stop your heater core from working. I have the Bars Leaks which was recommended on UA-cam but they are all saying "No". How is a product like this sold in stores all over the country? Is this just hyperbole or what is going on
Well if you're going to use it is because the fix is more expensive than the Vehicle I used it on my 98 ford explorer it worked just fine 2 years still no leaks I used alumaseal tube.
Don't be a cheapskate. My 2001 F150 started to leak a little, my truck feeds me and my family, i make about $6000 a month because of my old truck so, HEADING OUT TO THE SHOP FOR A NEW RADIATOR $550
JUST USE K-DEAL ON MY 2014 Prius with a head gasket leak and run my car from Chicago to Texas a 17 hours drive non stop last week and the car is doing amazing

Synthetic voices have zero credibility. Period.

It was still good info
Yeah this whole video is AI generated, even the clip at the beginning of that guy talking. That is AI generated. Very creepy

Best radiator stop leaks......none. I wouldn't put none of this trash in my radiator. All of it will restrict coolant flow.
