Read Tom O'Neill's book, CHAOS: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the 1960's. This book will answer your questions.

Dennis Wilson, through no fault of his own, set the whole thing in motion. He brought Pat Krenwinkle and another girl (Bailey) to his house. Manson made the girls take him to the house in hopes of a record deal. Dennis introduced Manson to Terry Melcher. Terry flaked out on a meeting with Manson, leaving him pissed off. He went to Terry's old house to confront him, but found out Sharon and Roman now lived there. He then instructed the family to go to that particular house and kill. Horrific chain of events there. Dennis also probably felt some measure of guilt afterwards.

The Manson's already killed Bernard "Lotsapoppa" Crowe at Manson's Hollywood apartment. Gary Allen Hinman had his ear cut off by Manson and Bobby Beausoleil stabbed him to death allegedly on Manson's instruction. This was already set in motion. Maybe Tate could have been spared and that would have been wonderful, she was taken out of the world too fast, along with her child and friends as well as the LaBianca's (which I live close too). How ever the two murders above was all before Tate and LaBianca... The game was already in motion.
So as you can see, this was going to happen cause they were brainwashed, alone, dumb, and sucked into this horror show. Something they can never undo cause they had to pay the price for this.
I just wish Brace Lee had been there that night at Tate's house. I have a feeling the outcome would have been different.

@@swankybutters8371I don't think Bruce wasn't close with those people. Yeah he had associated with them before in the past. But by 1969, he was pretty much fed up with Hollywood because he was getting minor roles in lower films. Sharon and them were considered top of a line celebrities by then.

A hundred thousand dollar payoff and a “promise” to include the song on the album. So wildly inaccurate.

one thing that should be corrected, Manson knew Melcher no longer lived at 10050 cielo drive, however, he did know the outline of the house, during the early summer of 1969, Manson went to the house , to see Melcher, and was confronted by Frykowski- who unceremoniously told him, Melcher no longer lived there, and to leave the property- allegedly Sharon was also standing there looking at Manson- so Manson knew the outline of the house, and revealed his plans to Tex Watson, a short time later

The Beach Boys have tapes in their music vaults of Manson recordings locked away that were done at Brian’s home studio.
They only changed ceast to exist from the lyrics, the rest of the song is as Manson wrote it,I have no doubt that this was the reason Manson sent the psychopaths to kill Melcher,It affected Dennis for the rest of he’s short life, the Beach Boys still went on to make great music afterwards.

But it is well known that Manson knew that Melcher had moved out. Manson even came to the house and met Sharon Tate in spring 1969.

Three commercial breaks in an 11 minute clip is ridiculous.

Remember the Beach Boy's Father sold off the copyright to the biggest hits of the band in nineteen sixty eight without the band knowing about it . That must had made an impression on the band and how they treated Charles Manson. Through Denis Wilson's involvement with Manson in the first place and others like Terry Melcher.

This story could be a perfect Quentin Tarantino movie, unfortunately, he already told part of it in “once upon a time in Hollywood”. And he captured that part of history in Los Angeles so well that I don’t think anyone can touch the Dennis Wilson Charles Manson story for 20 years. He would be the Director. I would want behind the story, but it’s never going to happen, way too close to his last film.
