Hi, i changed mi ABS UNIT but now I have orange light car with skid marks. BFD2-437AZ, THE CAR START without press The break pedal, just turn the key..! I replace with the same pump serial E BFD2-437AZ, BUT after view you video i understand that i need to check the ABS modulo number too, I needed to see your video first, now need to find other abs unit
Paul, which number is the part number for the module. There are 6 numbers on the back of yours and i dont know which one is the actual part number. Thank you
Used ones can still fail. No programming necessary, it just has to have be the identical model number as the one on your original ABS module, just like Paul here mentions at 18:21.
Thank you, Paul for the video. Once you remove the pump and module, would you be able to separate the black module box from the aluminum block by removing the 4 Torx screws on each corner? It looks possible, but I don't know for certain. I know on the Toyota Sienna, that module can be separated by removing allen key bolts.
Hi John, I've posted that unit off already so I can't check. Looking at the photos I took first, you might be right. If I get a failed one that I don't mind breaking, then I will deconstruct it and let you know. Or you can do the same for me. Paul.
Hello Paul, first of all, get well soon, I hope you have recovered. I am writing from Türkiye. I own a 2009 model BL case Mazda 3. About a week ago, the ABS, DSC and brake fault lights gave warnings, and when I started the car today, the warnings went away. When I stopped the vehicle and started it, the fault recurred. Do you think the ABS unit needs to be replaced? Thank you for your help.
Yes, I think a solenoid or a brush in the ABS module is starting to get sticky. The light will come on more frequently, and then it will stay on permanently. You don't have to rush to do the repair. It just means your ABS won't activate in a skid. So just drive conservatively until you get the unit replaced. Paul.
Yes, it will work. The last character is just a version number. E,F,G. The replacement you have found is a later version of the same part. It will fit.
No. You don't need to reprogram the module. You install the part, bleed the brakes, and then start the car up and drive away. Just make sure you get the right part number. Paul.
@@PaulinPerth Thank you very much for sharing.. I went to the junk yard and I was able to remove the ABS module part only. It has 4 screws to the valve box that is attached to the motor. Easy removal, I have not install it yet. Just wanted to share that . Thank you for your videos and best of luck.
Hello Pedro, I don't repair them. Please contact a module reconditioning firm. You haven't indicated what country you are in. If you are in Australia, then try contacting Injectronics. Paul in Perth, Australia.
Hi Paul, i was able to connect with them via Bursons. Both were super helpful and tried really hard to find a solution to my ABS. Unfortunately that unit was beyond repair but was able to find a replacement which worked perfectly. Hardest part of job was tightening the nuts but got there in the end with some help.
Thank you for the great videos! All the best to you Paul!

Hi there, any chance you can share the details for repairing a module?

Thank you Paul, I’m from Sydney. By chance I had contacted the repairer you suggested so all good.
@@PedroGonzalez-hs2ul Did Injectronics help you out? My understanding was ABS/ECU repairers don't deal direct with public.
