Jane Foster as Thor 1st appearance could be argued as What If #10 but called "Thordis" rather than Lady Thor
Carol Danvers 1st appeared as herself in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 way back in 1968
Great video! I enjoyed watching it
Namor's first appearance isn't Marvel Comics #1 it's Motion Pictures Funnies Weekly #1, which is way rarer than Marvel Comics #1
He's got some Marvel published 1st appearances which makes sense. Like Conan, Daredevil, Namor to name a few. Even Black Cat was a character published by Harvey Comics in 1946.
My top 10 Marvel Comics heroes
1. Deadpool/Wade Wilson
2. Thor Odinson
3. Spider-Man/Peter Parker
4. Wolverine/James Howlett/Logan
5. The Punisher/Frank Castle
6. Black Panther/Prince T'Challa
7. Captain America/Steve Rogers
8. Storm/Ororo Monroe
9. Star Lord/Peter Quill
10. Cable/Nathan Summers
Guardians of the Galaxy appeared years earlier than 2007 Annihilation.
Yes, I’m referring to the present-day version, which comes together during the event. Not the future team from the 60s, nor the various members individually.
The Groot that appears in Tales to Astonish is a different Groot than the modern one. The Silver Age Groot is often known nowadays as "King Groot"
Correct. The modern Groot’s first appearance was in Annihilation Conquest. He also had a full vocabulary before Bendis revamped the the team
Speedball, Justice and Firestar were known before the New Warriors formed.
So was Nova and Namorita. I was referring to the first appearance of the team
Cool, man.
Marvel is Jack Kirby. You can tell from the cover art that Marvel is mostly his vision.
Not just Marvel. Every modern comic artist has been influenced by Kirby. He’s omnipresent and inescapable.
Nice
Conan was created in 1932 but I get it, he wasnt from Marvel yet.
When did Groot stop saying "BEHOLD I AM GROOT! WHO DARES TO DEFY ME?!" and sticked to just "I am Groot"
The modern Groot first appeared in 2008’s Annihilation: Conquest. He wasn’t a world conqueror but he did have a normal vocabulary. I believe it was Bendis in his Guardians run a few years later that changed it, when the movie was already in the plans.
Good list overall but there’s a few errors. Ka-Zar, Medusa, Vision (need to look up Aarkus) came to mind
I would have thought they would have added Darkhawk in there. Why didn't they, does anyone know?
Forgot slapstick 😢
My top 6 Marvel comic heroes:
1. Iron man
2. Captain america
3. Hulk
4. Spider-man
5. Wolverine
6. Kitty Pryde
Beta Ray Bill
Thor #337 (1983)
Kitty Pride = Shadowcat
Kitty Pryde is a serious contestant for most number of codenames, including Ariel, Sprite, more recently Star-Lord. Shadowcat is just the one she stuck to the longest
Isnt "Marvel"co. before 1960 it doesnt have name "Marvel"?
Yeah, it was Timely Comics from 1939 to 1951, then Atlas Comics until 1957 or so, and then spent a while without a proper name before becoming Marvel Comics. But these were cosmetic changes only and it makes sense to consider the entire period one cohesive continuity.
@@comicbelief oh, thanks!
